Ban all recreational vehicles really, mind you I can see why you wouldn't like an ATV, nasty noisy things, but useful in the bush. (hubby has one). Should we ban boats too cos if we do those jet setting climate alarmists wouldn't like to give theirs up I'm sure. I guess by those lites we should really ban all pets, or at least limit them to one per household. What it amounts to is going back to the pre-industrial revolution era and we can all starve on the streets. Carbon taxes don't work, it's just a money grab, certainly they won't change anything in Canada except to empty out our pockets . What's in your wallet? Is an argument between two vegans still called A Beef

Lucky for the people in this Walmart the off duty firefighter had a gun. Meanwhile, Toronto Mayor John Tory wants to ban all hand guns but no talk about stopping crime. I actually thought they allready were banned in Toronto, but really, how will stop the criminals from getting them. They need to work on how they get the guns across the border and stopping them at the source. https://abcnews.go.com/US/man-detained-walking-missouri-walmart-armed-rifle-wearing/story?id=64870120 -
Taxing people to death, destroying industries and our economy isn't going to change the weather, or slow changes down. If the alarmists/cultists have their way we would have to go back to the stone age, better still maybe we should just not reproduce and die out because human cause emissions too. Getting rid of plastics and pollution etc. is commendable and we all work towards that doing what we can, but this alarmist and hype just turns people off as most of us do not accept government intervention in our food choices. We can live without some unnecessary plastics but we can't live without our modern medical equipment without the use of plastic materials. MRI machines, blood bags, heart valves, prosthetic devices, artifical hips/knees, air conditioners among many other items, all use plastics, so do away with everything we have today will only contribute to less farming, less agriculture, not enough food. Without fuel, hydro and all the amenities we enjoy now society would collapse as civilized society is a thin veneer, take away everything and we have ' Mad Max' (not Bernier). Imagine what life would be like with no central heating, no electricity, food shortages and society will collapse; that's what alarmism and hysteria will do. We have to work on alternatives and gradually shift towards replacing plastics etc. but carbon taxes and possible meat taxes are not the answer. The world has always cycled in and out of ice ages warming up with no help from humans. ETA: don't forget that pets create a carbon footprint equivalent to an SUV, but where is the outcry over that, why are people not being asked to limit the no. of pets - probably because it would cause a big outcry as people tend to love their pets more than anything else. .

So sorry you feel that way, most of us don't, sad for you tho.

Say NO to a meat tax now before it makes it's way through the media and messaging becoming a 'necessary' tax....

Climate cultists have lost their freakin' minds - there's no way I'm giving up meat... Had a great T-bone tonite..

Shhhh who knew, don't tell anyone, but MSM A new research memo by the Public Policy Forum found that mainstream media outlets like the CBC, CTV and Huffington Post were one of the causes of misinformation among Canadians.

Have to disagree with that one, he's not 'purposely' doing it. The detention centres were built under the Obama admin but the numbers have increased so much they are now terribly overcrowded. https://www.nytimes.com/2016/07/18/opinion/mr-obamas-dubious-detention-centers.html -
This is true, as in any group. I paint with a Muslim gal and have gone to her home, she's great but her husband isn't all that friendly. Although not a church member I belong to an art group which uses a room in one, so got involved with helping a sponsored refugee group (teaching English); it's the too large percentage who are radical.

The author here, Angelo M. Codevilla is an Italian-US professor emeritus of international relations at what is now the Pardee School of Global Studies at BostonUniversity. He sums it up pretty well here https://amgreatness.com/2019/08/06/igniting-civil-war/ excerpted: The story of the contemporary American Left’s sponsorship of hate and violence begins around 1964, when the Democratic Party chose to abandon the Southern constituencies that had been its mainstay since the time of Jefferson and Jackson. In less than a decade, the party found itself increasingly dependent on gaining super-majorities among blacks, upscale liberals, and constituencies of resentment in general—and hence on stoking their hate. For the past half century, America’s political history has been driven by the Democratic Party’s effort to fire up these constituencies by denigrating the rest of America. As elements of cynical calculation melded into self-images of righteous entitlement to rule inferiors, the boundaries between the party and the constituencies’ most radical parts have eroded. -
Several well known Liberal Twitter accounts helped turn a fake claim that Andrew Scheer hired actors for a photo shoot into an overnight viral sensation. It was also a vicious Liberal smear job against innocent citizens who didn't know what hit them. We have much more of this to come in the weeks ahead.

That inconveniently doesn't fit the narrative as the steady drumbeat of racism and white supremacy charges increase which is more than likely angering moderate people as the rhetoric of the left aided by the MSM, continues unabated, which could lead to violence. It is the unfettered hyperbole and rhetoric of the left that is causing people to shift further to the right in retaliation. White supremacists are a small group but could grow if the race baiters continue spewing B.S. and labelling everything they disagree with as `racist` when it is not. It is this that is undermining society, along with IMO the decline of the family unit, morals, lack of fathers in many households while sex, violence and drugs are glorified. Take the story yesterday when the leftists did not approve of the New York Times accurate, non partisan front page headline so protested and tweeted up such a storm that the Times actually took their unofficial marching orders and changed it to something more satisfying to the left. This is the second headline, first one said Trump Urges Unity not Hate... can't have that now, the pic is too big but I'm unable to delete it. -

Don't think so, he was obsessed with violence, but it's all speculation we don't know. http://news.trust.org/item/20190806225836-tbkgw Aug 6 (Reuters) - The gunman who killed his sister and eight other people in Dayton, Ohio, before he was slain by police had a history of violent obsessions and previously mused about committing mass murder, an FBI official said on Tuesday. FBI agent Todd Wickerham told a news conference two days after the massacre in the streets of Dayton's historic downtown Oregon District that investigators have yet to conclude what motivated the killer or whether he may have had an accomplice. -

Why Do Progressives Hate Chick-Fil-A So Much?

I don't care either unless they are refusing service, discriminating in some way or otherwise breaking the laws or skirting them. I don't like having religion pushed on me, any religion which is one reason years ago we pulled out of an RV park in Florida. It was a nice clean park in an area we knew so we put a deposit down for the following season, then talked to other people and found out that the owner was pretty religious. If you went to social events, even for coffee and donuts in the morning there was a blessing and a prayer, and apparently the owner was given to sermons and so on, so we got our deposit back and went elsewhere. -

What radical measures should be taken in Chicago for instance where shootings and gun violence is endemic but no one wants to talk about that. Gun violence in Toronto is rising too even with Canada's strict gun control. I've read that Chicago's murder rate is down since the 1990s but spiking upwards now. One of the reasons is because of the fallout from a police shooting, so cops are no longer aggressive so don't go into the shooting area until the shooting stops. Since cops won't be given any benefit of doubt now they are being 'cautious'. However, in the 1990s, Chicago’s murder rate would approach 900-1000 every year. It obviously has dropped since then. Just one story https://www-chicagotribune-com.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/www.chicagotribune.com/news/breaking/ct-met-chicago-weekend-violence-20180806-story,amp.html?amp_js_v=0.1&usqp=mq331AQCCAE=#referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&_tf=From %1%24s&share=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.chicagotribune.com%2Fnews%2Flocal%2Fbreaking%2Fct-met-chicago-weekend-violence-20180806-story.html https://www.inquisitr.com/5017376/chicago-gun-violence-leaves-59-shot-8-dead-since-friday/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A google%2FyDYq (The Inquisitr - News)&utm_content=Yahoo Search Results -

Sorry, no idea about evangelicals, just that he was still generally popular and likely would have won a third term could he have run - his approval numbers were going up. Half or so of voters were obviously willing to have him back in White House with Hillary, even tho it was only as 'first Gentleman' https://www.cnn.com/ALLPOLITICS/stories/1998/12/20/impeachment.poll/ -

Maybe this will bring about some changes to gun laws, at least better back ground checks, but there was nothing in their backgrounds that would've stopped them from getting a permit. Certainly AK 47s and the like should be severely restricted, but as we see in Toronto, gun control doesn't stop people from getting guns if they want them. ETA: How many people know that the El Paso killer also made it clear that he hates automation and corporations, and blames them for the economy along with blaming Hispanics for environmental degradation? He also talks about population control as in “If we can get rid of enough people, then our way of life can become more sustainable. Ambitious left-wing projects such as universal health care and Universal Basic Income would become far more likely to succeed if tens of millions of dependents are removed.” doesn't sound all that much right wing IMO and sure doesn't fit into the general narrative. -
The Rotherham Council needs to be booted out..imagine giving a rapist parental rights... https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/rotherham-grooming-gang-case-sammy-woodhouse-victim-son-sexual-abuse-a8656116.html “Rotherham council invited him to apply for parental rights over my child, even though it was proven in court that he was a danger to myself and another children,” she said.

One thing that should be noted about the shooter's manifesto is at the bottom but not talked about on any news I've seen. The inconvenient truth is that our leaders, both Democrat AND Republican, have been failing us for decades. They are either complacent or involved in one of the biggest betrayals of the American public in our history. The takeover of the United States government by unchecked corporations. I could write a ten page essay on all the damage these corporations have caused, but here is what is important. Due to the death of the baby boomers, the increasingly anti-immigrant rhetoric of the right and the ever increasing Hispanic population, America will soon become a one party-state. The Democrat party will own America and they know it. They have already begun the transition by pandering heavily to the Hispanic voting bloc in the 1st Democratic Debate. They intend to use open borders, free healthcare for illegals, citizenship and more to enact a political coup by importing and then legalizing millions of new voters. and My ideology has not changed for several years. My opinions on automation, immigration, and the rest predate Trump and his campaign for president. I putting this here because some people will blame the President or certain presidential candidates for the attack. This is not the case. I know that the media will probably call me a white supremacist anyway and blame Trump’s rhetoric. The media is infamous for fake news. Their reaction to this attack will likely just confirm that. https://drudgereport.com/flashtx.htm -
Interesting piece here from 2016/17. When asked if he thinks the wearing of the veil and the burka is increasing on the streets of Blackburn he says yes. Muhammad also agrees that there are more burkas and niqabs on Blackburn's streets than in previous years and adds that the current generation of Muslims is significantly more religious than their parents. https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/673789/Blackburn-Islam-muslim-community-rise-of-the-burka-Koran-religion Many locals feel that over a handful of decades Blackburn, and many nearby northern towns, has been sleepwalking to ghettoization, separation and nothing short of a neo-apartheid. The ‘system’, social, political, religious and judicial has seemingly failed this town on every level. Fear of offending the Muslim minority and political correctness, which values multiculturalism over integration, is cited by many Blackburners as the twin poisons which created this ill-at-ease, two-tier town.
