Yeah, that guy from Montreal has already been mentioned. It wasn't an EDA president in Calgary. -

Does the province have authority in this case? It appeared it was the Feds from the CBC story earlier in the thread. -

I do recall their promise on income trusts was about protecting seniors. Broken promises? -

Here's a link to the Elections Canada database. It's a royal pain in the arse to wade through but you can find the information you are looking for if you are patient. -

OK, I'll do it tomorrow at work if any of my fellow 'oilpatchers' complains about it. Ohhh that's right I'm not a senior exec. Take a look at the COnservative's donor list. Might hurt them a little but not as much as you are going on about. -

Six straight personal attacks? Only four more until I quit playing your little reindeer game. Is this my *punishment* for not respecting your authority? -

Another cut and paste hack job? Good for you. That makes five straight posts with personal attacks. I'll make you a deal. Get up to ten. I'll reply to all of them. Then report you to the mod and ignore them. Work for you? -

I've got spell-check on Word. Why learn to spell? That's your second comment on typos. Are you trying to set a record for lame personal attacks? -

I don't even understand that. They are all responsed to specific points in geoffrey's post. Far to much hassle to cut and paste each statement in his post to match it with a response. -
Please, this is not going to hurt in Quebec. One member does not a revold make. Good for Ahern, he has made such a great contribution to the country so far. He delivered so much for the Conservatives in Montreal in January...

Your biased attack on Harper was biased. wtf? Good contribution.

How does any of this have anything to do with the cameran? Income trusts didn't really come into vogu in the oil patch until 2000/2001. The start of the new 'good times'. -

By your definition you aren't going to have a party to vote for. The Conservatives are the closest to being 'real fiscal conservatives' of any party in the House of Commons at the moment. All those parties would agree with that statement. No party proposed more tax cuts than the Conservatives. I will bet *anything* none will in the next election. What do they need more cash for? Hmmmm. Future tax cuts in other areas? Which might make you happy. You say you aren't angry, but you have been very angry over this issue. Power to you for not renewing your party membership. socialist projects? where is that coming from? Some of us actually believe the debt should be paid down... -

Worked with a native? Yes. Worked in a casino? Yes. Lived close to a reserve? Yes. Worked in a business with a *lot* of native clients? Yes. -
I live in Calgary Centre-North and that could theoretically be considered the most 'left-leaning' riding in the city. As for the ridings you mentioned be the 'richest' in the country I would guess that Toronto Centre, St. Paul's (in Toronto) and Vancouver Centre all rival those ones in terms of income... The majority of Conservative financial support comes from small individual donors. Which party will be the party of the oil companies? Businessmen are smart and take a long-term view. They realize the Liberals also would have done an about face on income trusts *if* they would have won.

Actually it probably helped the majority of seniors. Which is why it wont hurt the Conservatives... They "specifically" said they would protect seniors. Who are you going to vote for now geoffrey? Conservatives are better off long term everytime they lose an angry, rigid, ideological right-winger... -

Because? The "feud" between the PMO and the parliamentary press corps is being driven by a few hardliners in the press corps. They lost the battle when the decision was taken to respect the PMOs wishes for a list of questioners in scrums. This one camerman sounds like on of the hardliners. this is the first story about the feud in the past few weeks... -
Sure they'll pick up on it, but even in today's Question Period it was made plain that the Conservative base in Alberta isn't at risk over this issue.
-
Would that revenue base be sustainable with the current personal income tax rates? There isn't room for politically saleable large-scale cuts to programs. How would these be funded? Better to have a Conservative Government that can be re-elected than one that wins the moral victory only to have it reversed next than a year later.
