From an SES Research poll on the topic. Link here. In Ontario 10% of voters are more likely to vote Liberal in the next Federal election if the LPC recognizes Quebec as a nation within Canada while 54% of voters are less likely to vote Liberal. Please, please, please pass the resolution. The Liberals have just handed the Conservatives THE issue for the next election.

Using a left-wing British paper as a source for your statement about a U.S. politician just goes to prove how weak your original statement was. Are you saying that Dean didn't support Ned Lamont? Had a role in the Bush administration's ongoing hardline on Iraq? Was connected at all with the Mark Foley scandal? You make a statement like then follow it up with a link from a left-leaning British newspaper. wtf?Hmmm, guess you proved how much you do know about US politics then. Instead of posting a link to another article that exposes more of your ignorance just answer the questions.

So *scary* *scary* *scary* is not working now because the media is not performing its duties correctly at the moment? Will you blame the media when the Conservatives win a majority in the spring?

Layton Says US Elections a Wake Up Call for Tories
Ricki Bobbi replied to gerryhatrick's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
So you don't support our troops who fought in World War I, World War II or Korea? None of those were peace-keeping missions either. Very disrespectful... -
Hmmm, I didn't realize Dean played a role in recruiting such conservative minded candidates. I know he played a role in Ned Lamont beating Joe Lieberman for the nomination in Connecticut ... oh wait. I didn't realize Dean played a role in the Republicans ongoing hard-line stance in Iraq or in the Mark Foley scandal..... doesn't understand US politics The Liberals inviting Dean up here to speak and calling him an amazing choice ... yeah.

You win today's emperor has no clothes award! Good work at pointing out hypocrisy on the board! -
Fair and balanced! Man, the National is disgusting tripe. Fox News isn't subsidized by anybody so who cares what they do.... Now they follow it up with that George Stombapopadopolis crap. And my tax dollars go to pay for it without my having the opportunity to opt out. If a candidate ran on a privatize the CBC platform I would vote for him on the basis of that one issue alone.

The first round of voting for the Liberal leadership will be held on the neight of Friday, December 1st and the ensuing rounds will be held the following day. Any bets on which candidate who falls off the ballot after the first round of voting is most likely to pledge his support to one candidate then change his/her mind and move to another during that night? I'll lay 1 to 5 on Joe Volpe!!!

Kennedy releases enterprise platform
Ricki Bobbi replied to geoffrey's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I really can't see him winning this time around. It would take a hugely magnanimous act on the part of Rae or Dion. Why would they do it? This is their one kick at the leadership. Kennedy is young enough that his time will come. He's only 46 now. There is no way Iggy, Dion or Rae (whoever wins this thing) are around much past 2012. Kennedy would only be in his early 50s... -
Liberals poll even with Conservatives
Ricki Bobbi replied to gerryhatrick's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Uhh that is a central plank of the Conservative's health care policy and one that the Liberals campaigned tooth and nail against. -
Kennedy releases enterprise platform

I think *ever* is a little much. Kennedy undoubtedly becomes the heir apparent ... unless he actually wins this time around. -
Liberal David Emerson rejects softwood deal
Ricki Bobbi replied to normanchateau's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Hmmm, nope not unhappy. If my only purpose in life were to vent hatred about a poltiical figure and political aide on a message board .... maybe. I do post on other things here normie. Take a look sometime. -
Liberal David Emerson rejects softwood deal
Ricki Bobbi replied to normanchateau's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Southercomfort. You forgot to mention that Darrel Reid has replaced Gurmant Grewal in Normie's big book of loathing. Guess small-minded loathing with no consideration or openness to discussion can only focus it's venom on two people at a time -
Kimmy rightly pointed out that there are past cases where it appeared that helping out the Liberal Party of Quebcec could help somebody become a judge. You said: and they could have prevented themselves from rolling out a piece of malformed legislation.I asked if the Liberals ever proposed a "properly formed" policy for dealing with the concern that Kimmy rose. You said What?
-
malformed legislation? Do provide a Liberal proposal for properly formed legislation on the issue...

Liberal David Emerson rejects softwood deal

It's just not worth trying to have a discussion with the Harper-loathers. There is no 'discussing' to be done. -
Driving While Drugges Legislation
Ricki Bobbi replied to scribblet's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Or on drugges! -
Like Ibbitson said, the Harper-loathers aren't worth discussing anything with.

It was more the final nail in the coffin for Dean than anything else. Kerry, Clark and Edwards had all tried to portray him as too beholden to the extremists in the party and too focused on attacking than anything else. The scream just proved their case better than any of them could have hoped to do,.
-
Now he's an extreme socon because he doesn't favour legalizing marijuana? Wow, that is really grasping for a reason to call him a social conservative. Attacking Harper as a *socon* because of his vote on C-250 and he isn't in favour of legalizing pot sounds like a great election strategy. I only hope you are connected enough to pass on this valuable advice to the Liberals so they can incorporate it into their campaign plan for the spring.
