Right back at ya, slick. It's my belief, I don't need facts but you do isn't a substantive argument.

More slimy arguments "I don't need evidence but you do". At least you've spelled it our clearly. So tell me, why do you wet your pants so much when archaeology does confirm some minor or very broad point in the bible? There really is a place called Egypt, the bible must be entirely truuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuue. And then your little cheerleader will jump in and claim you won the argument. Pathetic.

I think it's quite reasonable to ask the woman who's body is being used to make up her mind one way or another after some reasonable amount of time - 22 weeks say. And in fact that's what we do, since the CMA takes that position and we don't have docs performing abortions after that time unless absolutely necessary. It would be nice to have this codified into law, but I'll take what we've got now if the hardcore anti-abortionists are going to come out.

Sure, and if you're born in Kansas a tornado can abduct you to Oz. Sheeesh.

That's how it works. The losers who couldn't make it in Switzerland all left for the US, leaving behind the ones that are doing well. It's a good system. Probably all the psycho killers left too, since Switzerland is big on gun culture yet they don't seem to kill each other with them at nearly the same frequency as the land of opportunity.

The Economist has come up with a list of the best countries in world to be born. Switzerland ranks number one, the usual socialist suspects and Australia make up the other top 5. Canada is only number 9. US is only number 16 tho - ha ha, we beat them again. Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2240002/Switzerland-best-place-born-world-Britain-27th.html#ixzz2Jg7Acfxk Follow us: @MailOnline on Twitter | DailyMail on Facebook We should be able to do better, IMO, with all we've got. What would it take to move us up? Less income inequality? Our health is pretty good actually. Trust in public institutions would be a big one, IMO. If Switzerland can score high here with 4 official languages and cultures, surely we could learn from them. Their participatory democracy seems worth emulating, except with our vast distances we'd have to do it electronically.

It's a non issue, with just a few nutbars trying to get attention. I actually favor restrictions on abortions the way all other developed countries have, but with nuts like these loos, I'd rather go with the status quo. The CMA has stepped up and given clear guidelines to docs about what's acceptable and what's not. In effect there is a law in place - no doc is going to risk being denied his licence to perform an abortion outside those guidelines. Also, what does healthcare say about abortions - surely they will only fund ones deemed medically necessary in the first place? http://policybase.cma.ca/dbtw-wpd/PolicyPDF/PD88-06.pdf Canada sets fetal viability at 21 weeks.

Apartheid? in the West Bank and Gaza
Canuckistani replied to TheNewTeddy's topic in The Rest of the World
Yet this is what you advocate. I guess being God's chosen gives you special privileges to do as I say, not as I do. Or imitate your former victimizers with actions and excuses for them that are eerily similar. -
The mods can ban me, but you are a dumb f__k. Pluto being classified a planet or not, that's the best you got to try to invalidate science? It's just a classification scheme, Pluto was at the borderline for this scheme and they decided it's no longer classified as a planet Same with taxonomy (you could look up the meaning if you need to.) Besty, that you say is kicking ass, wets herself when science seems to agree with some details in the bible. (As you would expect with a people's history). Then thinks she's proven a point if science is uncertain about something, says not enough is known about the subject, or new information changes the theories. That's exactly what's powerful about science - the ability to change it's mind, to be open to new information. Unlike Betsy and her ilk. I think you and Betsy are disgusting, quite frankly. Just slithering around making bs arguments.

Apartheid? in the West Bank and Gaza
Canuckistani replied to TheNewTeddy's topic in The Rest of the World
They can't give the land back because they need it for security. They can't have Arabs living so close to their major population centers. Somehow having settlers on that land with the military protecting them will keep Israel safer. Those aren't settlers, they're security guards. This is my understanding of JGB's argument. Really the only way it makes sense to me is if Israel annexes the West Bank. And then what do they do with all the Palestinians there? Let them stay and force them to take birth control? Because otherwise the Jews will be swamped by the much greater birthrate of the Arabs? Push all the Palestinians across the Jordan? Isn't that ethnic cleansing? I admit, I don't get it. -
So let me get this straight, Betsy. You don't believe the earth is 6000 years old, but do believe that the entire earth, right over Mt Everest, was covered in water and that only one family of humans survived this catastrophe and went on to populate the earth? When did this happen? How is it all evidence points to humans originating in Africa? I thought they landed at Mt Ararat? I guess inbreeding is no problem for the bible, nor is incest, since the ancestors of Noah, Adam et al, only had one woman available.

Israel Forcibly Injected African Immigrants with Birth Control

Blacks who used aspirin were probably not targeted. But why not the same policy for the Hasidim? -
I'm sure you do, and I'm sure you find that comforting.

I guess when you don't like the question you counter it with another one. Again, why a different policy for the Ultra Orthodox when they meet the same criteria as the Ethiopians? -

Allowing Lehman Bros to fail almost collapsed the economy. Credit dried up instantly and businesses that had nothing to do with Wall St were suddenly in trouble. GE couldn't pay it's workers, etc. What the US should have done is nationalize the banks, re-establish proper flow of credit then re-privatize the banks once they put in new regulations, including keeping any bank from being too big to fail. -
Thank the Lawd for that. It's when you hear "certainly" "for sure" "the truth" "God said" etc that it's time to get worried. Pride cometh before a fall and all.

Israel Forcibly Injected African Immigrants with Birth Control

Best form of birth control is education and job opportunities for women. The Hasidim are exempted from military service and live on welfare. Were they forced to take birth control too, or is it different because they're not black? -
And I have to wonder why you want to pick nits once again. On average, 900 is the number of gun murders in a month. To try to claim as you did, that it's less for January (from non-authoritative figures) and this shows gun deaths are declining is just nuts. As usual you invert the telescope because looking thru the the proper end is just too uncomfortable for you.

If Bud has posted about those 18 shootings in Syria, you would have had no problem fulminating on and on about those dastardly Arabs. Here's something the Jews did, and your response is meh. See the diff? -
