  1. Someone thinks Singh is going to win?
  2. Keep it up. This stuff is interesting. I would love to see what would happen today if Harper told Rae he could shoot him in the back of the head in church. lol
  3. If they had 40% wouldn't someone other than Mulcair be leading? Wouldnt there at least be a far-left candidate in the running? Or wouldn't at least one of the left-wing in the race be up there? That link you posted had a picture of Ashton. If she had the support of the 'socialist wing'(ie 40%) wouldnt she be doing much better than dead last in the race? Isn't she even behind the non-sitting pharmacist from rural NS that no one ever heard of before this? I would think that since I started this thread to learn about some conservative politics in BC that you wouldn't really hijack it. I would think that you would rather me learn about Clark etc than wasting my time reading nonsense. Didn't you start the 'greasey left' thread for that?
  4. 'Get in the vote.' Great slogan. lol
  5. What did anyone here say to make you think that? If there was a Liberal or NDP PM would you want the economy to go down?
  6. Both of these are hilarious to me.
  7. Thanks. Informative.
  8. I know what the wire is. I'll have to live with you feeling sorry for me because I didn't see those movies.
  9. I didn't know they appealed to that many.
  10. I have no idea what two of these three things are but I think you may have ruined them for people who care but didnt see them.
  11. lol. I kept checking twitter but I gave up over an hour ago.
  12. Or they don't care about Canadian politics because they are in the midst of their own election.
  13. I was just surprised that she was at the event.
  14. My mistake.
  15. Are you referring to the island? Zing! Yeah I knew she had connections with the federal party that is why I'm a little confused with this Manning thing.
  16. Ahhhh, I heard him mention this on CBC today. I was waiting for it. Thanks.
  17. Yes, but that doesn't mean that him being on the Presidential ballot meant nothing.
  18. I'm pretty sure he didn't want that once in a lifetime financial crisis he was handed.
  19. I heard Andrew Coyne say that whoever comes in third on the first ballot at the convention could be deciding factor. I think he was writing Topp, Ashton and Singh off and assuming Mulcair would come in first and Nash in second on the first ballot. He said that if Cullen comes in third he could throw his support behind Mulcair and give him the leadership. But if Dewar comes in third he could support Nash and push her into first. Interesting scenario.
  20. I don't know how fitting it is comparing women voting for Nash to African Americans voting for Obama. Obama broke ground in the sense that he was the first AA to have a chance to sit in the White House. If Nash was the first ever woman to lead a major party or be PM I could see women voting for her for that reason but not now after decades and decades of women holding office.
  21. I don't follow BC politics closely but how far to the right is she? I knew she had connections to former Harper strategists etc but apparently she was at the Manning conference in Ottawa.
  22. It would be awesome if it was.
  23. I agree that they think what they are doing is best for Canada but I disagree with your use of the work 'all' in your previous comment about doing the best for 'all Canadians.'
  24. I agree that they think what they are doing is best for Canada but I disagree with your use of the work 'all' in your previous comment about doing the best for 'all Canadians.' People jump the gun and tend to write off parties wen they have a few crappy elections.
