Wilber, there are seven million Quebecers. Millions have made up their mind. About a million want out. There are three million BCers. About a million want a socialist, tree-hugging society. What are you or I supposed to do? We live with it. We live with it to. I'm not talking about those who are committed either way. I'm talking about those who are not willing to make a commitment either way and vote according to what's in it for Quebec with no consideration for the country as a whole. They are the the ones who are dicking around with the country's future. If it was as you say there would be no need for more than one referendum because the results would be identical every time. Put the shoe on the other foot and ask yourself, is it any wonder why many in the ROC regard Quebec as a hemorrhoid that just keeps recurring? There are over 4 million BCers and never in the over 40 years I have been voting do I remember our participation in or our relationship with the ROC being an issue in a provincial election.

You're' damn right you're are dicking around with this country's future. The ROC has no say in this. We just have to sit around and put up with Quebec's navel gazing ad infinitum. August, I would just like Quebec to make up its mind whether it wants to make a commitment to this country or not. What other country in the world would have the patience to put up with continual referendums on its own future where 80% of the population doesn't get to participate? Make up your mind, s___t or get off the pot so to speak because the record is getting very old and tiresome.

We do understand it and have to put up with it without having a say while Quebecers dick around with the future of our country. Hence a continual pain in the ass. When are you going to understand that.

The complexity of todays cars is what makes them so good. They do everything better than cars of 20 years ago, get better fuel economy, pollute only a small fraction of what they used to and are more reliable. In the days of carburetted engines 1 HP per cu inch displacement was a hot motor. Now there isn't an econobox built that doesn't do far better than that. Unfortunately they are too complex for the average Joe to do much more than simple servicing without special tools. They will continue to become more complex and new technologies will have teething problems but they will also continue to get better.

The got point 4 because they beat the Predators and Red Wings last week. After a rough start the Flames rallied to beat the Black Hawks this afternoon. Hopefully the Avalanche will see that and grip their sticks a little tighter tonight. Hope so, Canucks set a team record for wins and clinch a playoff spot if they beat Colorado tonight. Got to stay ahead of Minnesota as well.

Actually the thread is garbage. My apologies for contributing to it.

With one exception, the ROC isn't continually threatening to take itself out of Confederation if it doesn't get its way. Hence a pain in the ass. I'm just calling it the way I see it and from the lack of contradiction I am getting on that statement (except from you), I don't think it is far off the mark when it comes to what people really think. Again, I don't believe the majority of English Canadians regard French Canadians to be inferior as you have stated.

You sycophants are always pulling this stunt - I go back to check and find out you are lying. I answered all of your questions. You know it which is why you will not restate them. Bull

We are talking about the transportation of goods and people, not stationary power plants.

You are a liar and a waste of space. Go away unless you have something to say. I did and you ignored them. They are still there if you want to look for them. I can't be bothered because you will just ignore them again.
-
You must be able to name one. No need, all the ones you have brought up. I have rebutted different ones several times in several posts on this thread. You have ignored them all.

Booze, smokes worse than some illegal drugs: study

The majority of Canadian marijuana production is for export to the US that is why legalizing it will have no effect on organized crime until the US legalizes it. -
which ones ? Pretty much all of them.

Anything like this is possible, Hawkings & McConnel thinmk its a reality. McConnel was a military pilot and an airline pilot. We all know automatic drones are possible and that they wouldn't have to put crew overrides in place. David Hawkings (Hawks Cafe) has all the gruesome details. He has a 4 hr DVD and I have it but haven't watched it yet. I am a retired airline pilot and aircraft maintenance engineer with over 30 years experience working on and flying jet transports including over 3000 hours flying B767's. I'm not an expert on a lot of things regarding 911 but your theories regarding the aviation part of it are crap IMO.

Who said you are uncivilized? By making an issue of it you are intimating English Canadians are not. I don't have anything against French Canadians but still think Quebec is a pain in the ass.

Other than efficiency diesels are still using a petroleum based fuel until bio-diesel becomes more available. If it has an alternate fuel advantage it is that they will run on almost any kind of oil that burns. How about a turbo diesel plug in hybrid running on canola oil. It looks like ethanol production is having an effect on feed grain prices. Burning the stuff may be better for the environment but it will cost you more to eat.

It wouldn't be difficult to fly the aircraft into the buildings using the autopilot but it would have to be done by the crew aboard the aircraft. There is no way it could have been done by remote control without doing extensive modifications to the aircraft. Even then the autopilot could be easily overridden by the crew.

Interesting. Perhaps less unhealthy habits might be more accurate. Not sure what it has to do with Christianity. Seems to me that the countries where booze and tobacco are legal and have the death penalty for possession of drugs are not Christian. Organized crime, most definately. -
That may be so but you better have some viable alternatives in mind before you laugh too hard because your standard of living is built on it.

Poly, all I can say is that it must be terrible going through life thinking that everything is a conspiracy and the world is out to get me. I don't envy you.

As far as I can see this document concerns the military using the labour of prisoners in the civil penal system and housing them on military installations instead of having to transport them. People may have some objections to that idea but it is not the establishment of a concentration camp system.

We've had the Great Depression and two world wars with no effect on our democratic institutions. If such a thing were to turn us into a dictatorship in the future, it would be because we were not up to the standard of those who came before us.

I think you are right when you say that Harper could take this sort of thing too far but I have to agree with Betsy when it comes to the Liberals whining about the use of labels. That's rich.

Isn't the abiltity to justify anything a basic requirement to be a fanatic?
