The fed will do what it did with Quebec in 1995, hoping that once the payola starts rolling in, separatists will be ignored. On the other hand, real ideologues can't be easily bought. Comedians on the left are having a lot of fun mocking Trump by insinuating his death would be a wonderful thing for the world. Trump has had three assassination attempts so far. At this rate, very likely more to come. So the question is, is it moral or ethical to laugh and mock at the idea of the death of someone. Is it illegal, and if not, is it unethical. If so, what to do about it. My view is that any jokes leveling criticism at the president or government are fair game, but publicly expressing glee at the idea he might be dead soon needs to be repudiated.
