Trump is just not having a good time of it lately.... certainly looks that this so-called economic policy of tariffs continues to fail. Keep hanging tight Carney...and have a few laughs at his expense in the next meeting. Producer Price Index comes in hotter than expected in January Feb. 27, 2026 8:32 AM ETBy: Liz Kiesche, SA News Editor Share Save Play(2min) Comments (72) Follow Seeking Alpha on Google for the latest stock news The U.S. Producer Price Index increased 0.5% M/M in January, hotter than the +0.3% consensus and +0.4% in December (revised from +0.5%), according to data released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics on Friday. On a Y/Y basis, PPI rose 2.9% Y/Y vs. +2.6% consensus and +3.0% prior. Core PPI (excluding food and energy) advanced +0.8% M/M vs. +0.3% consensus and +0.6% prior (revised from +0.7%). That translated to a 3.6% Y/Y increase, compared with the +3.0% consensus and +3.3% in December. Both headline and core PPI indicate that inflation at the wholesale level remains elevated as businesses continue to navigate economic uncertainty. That contrasts with the Consumer Price Index, which came in slightly cooler than expected in January. The numbers indicate that businesses are still facing pricing pressure, which could flow through to consumers in coming months. The index for final demand services rose 0.8% M/M in January, the largest increase since +0.9% in July 2025. Most of that increase comes from trade services, which jumped 2.5%. Prices for final demand transportation and warehousing services climbed 1.0%. Excluding trade, transportation, and warehousing services, the final demand services index was unchanged from December. Prices for final demand goods slipped 0.3% M/M in January, representing the biggest decrease since a 0.7% decline in March 2025. Final demand energy fell 2.7%, and prices for final demand foods slid 1.5%. Gasoline accounted for 80% of the decline in final demand goods. Excluding energy and food, the index for goods rose 0.7% M/M, the BLS said.

Hey little Fxx.... any more links or info you need to validate the agreement you insist never happened? Let me know 🤡 China suspending some agricultural tariffs on Canada starting March 1 China to suspend 100% tariffs on Canadian canola, 25% tariffs on lobster, crab Thomson Reuters · Posted: Feb 27, 2026 5:53 AM PST | Last Updated: 24 minutes ago China said on Friday it would suspend some tariffs on Canadian agricultural products imposed during a trade spat between Beijing and Ottawa, after Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney struck an initial deal with China during a visit in January. China will suspend 100 per cent tariffs on Canadian canola meal and pea imports and will halt 25 per cent tariffs on lobster and crab imports from March 1 through the end of 2026, the finance ministry said in a statement. The outcome broadly aligns with Carney's expectations. But the Chinese announcement made no mention of canola seed tariffs, which Carney had previously said would be lowered by March 1. Ottawa expected Beijing to lower canola seed tariffs to a combined rate of about 15 per cent from the current 84 per cent. A probe into Canadian canola is set to conclude on March 9, the Chinese commerce ministry has said. "One thing we do know is that Chinese buyers have been booking Canadian canola cargoes for March already. That gives me a pretty high degree of confidence that they're going to follow through on the reduced tariff rate," said Even Rogers Pay, director at Beijing-based consultancy Trivium China. Canola oil and pork were also not mentioned in the statement. But Beijing could still announce further adjustments by the March 1 deadline previewed by Carney. China was Canada's second-largest market for canola in 2024. The suspensions come amid a wave of visits to Beijing by Western leaders as U.S. President Donald Trump's trade policies have strained Washington's traditional alliances. China has sought to present itself as a more stable and reliable economic partner in contrast. Carney went further than his European counterparts by securing a deal with China and signalling Canada's ambition to play a leading role in a new global trade order aimed at reducing dependence on the United States. During his China trip, Carney pledged to allow into Canada up to 49,000 Chinese electric vehicles at a tariff of 6.1 per cent on most-favored-nation terms.

Again, if they haven't been released how do you know? No person made anything....the files are a collection of details. Stick to the subject at hand.... No, I just despise him but am able to think with an open mind about him. I thinking and talking rational right now.... Why are the files that included accusations of Trump missing? You really do adore him don't you.... 😂
-
How do you know that if they haven't been released? I've said it a hundred times out here. I don't hate Trump, I despise him. Again, stick to the convo at hand...don't care about previous presidents. What common sense and logic... Files accusing him are missing. Don't you find that appearing to be look like it could be a cover up?

Do I need to discuss the poll...it's self-explanatory. It's an age thing, why so defensive? I remember Biden the last couple years...turned into an old man pretty quick. Just like Trump. I guess if the polls are that lopsided you can likely believe the results. Not dissimilar to his approval rating in the 30's. The end is near...

You got something on your chin.... Other than that, you got TDS Who are you trying to convince... me or you. Critical thinking isn't your thing. Don't pretend it is. Nothing in the files other than his name being mentioned more than any other, his DOJ not adhering to court orders for release, files of accusations of Trump from an underaged girl now mysteriously missing....I can see your logic in saying it looks clean, nothing here.

Why do you always send emojis with your tongue hanging out? No, you're a hack There you go with the tongue hanging out again. That's weird man.... If anything, crying laughing at you would be best said, but I don't think I've insulted you have I? If I have sorry, and please remind me if I do again. Very little you say or have ever say is mosts reality, but you keep doing what you do 🤡

It doesn't;t seem to be going well for Trump as of late... The cost of living, immigration failures, losing manufacturing jobs, the world not traveling to the US, the world pivoting trade away from the the US, losing his tariff power, tanking approval approval numbers, and now missing Epstein files of him.... The master of deflecting attention needs to do something so if I'm Iran, we're stocking the bunkers with good food and drink.

I read them both which is why I commented they were both useless. You still haven't told me what qualifies a newcomer to Canada to be an authority on where immigration levels should be, and as far as GDP is concerned it's not an accurate measure to a provinces/country's real living standards because it doesn't tell you how well it's citizens are doing or how well that economy is doing. Which policies are you referring to....or just a blanket statement? That's a stretch... Taking off conservative blue hat for moment, what qualifies Carney as dumb to you?
-
How about it? If you read a counter to that NP article you'd have seen that it's not an accurate picture of overall living standards as it ignores factors like income distribution, healthcare, and social services. Are you aware that Nunavut has a higher GDP per capita than Texas? Or California? Or New York? Or the entire US? That doesn't give the full picture does it.... Taking your useless articles out of the equation for minute.... it's been quite obvious for some time now that Canada is lagging economically and in other areas which is why Trudeau was essentially forced out the door last year. It's also the driving reason we had an election. Any other useless facts in your bag-o-articles?
