  1. Ah, so you're delusional too. Or does this just explain why you have so much invested in your hyperbole on 'Pride'? https://www.britannica.com/topic/pride-deadly-sin Pride, in Roman Catholic theology, one of the seven deadly sins, considered by some to be the gravest of all sins. AI Pride is considered the original and most serious of the seven deadly sins, defined as an excessive love of one's own excellence and a, often, unjustified belief in self-superiority. Characteristics: It manifests as arrogance, conceit, boasting, and a constant need for admiration. Looks like you're gonna burn in the fiery pits of sulphur for eternity! (Unless you repent. Maybe Blackbird can mentor you through the process, get himself another notch on the convert belt)
  2. But can that leopard change his spots? Not for long, I suspect.
  3. Maybe not ALL of them: AI "U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents follow strict vehicle protocols focused on safety, which include approaching vehicles from a 90-degree "tactical L" angle to avoid danger" https://www.lawfaremedia.org/article/before-and-after-the-trigger-press-that-killed-renee-good "Based on what has been publicly released, the whole interaction between Good, Ross, and the other ICE officials was a series of unforced errors by the government. The entire encounter, even accounting for Ross’s own footage, illustrates the general lack of professionalism with which ICE has operated over the past few months and its abandonment of its own internal policies."
  4. Liar. Lying liar. Extreme mendacity. And you're not very bright.
  5. Total bullshit, as usual. All the great and horrible things have happened and will happen will go on regardless of how I feel about them. Meanwhile you step outside your door every morning, make the sun come up, and bask in your 'pride'.
  6. Ok, guess that one went over your head. More Straw Men. Finally something we can agree on. And in the case of very old wrongs, usually a simple acknowledgement is enough. And yes, our race and other races have done good things in the past and are doing them now. How else would most countries have raised their living standards so significantly? But, for example, I'm glad for the remarkable advances in medicine. But I'm not proud that one race or another, one nationality or another, achieved them. Thanks for quoting me on those things! Yes, dear. You run along now and try to play nice.
  7. So the only way you can win an argument is to state what you say the other side thinks. Love them Straw Men, don't ya'!
  8. Yeah, of course you can quote where I said anything like that.... NOT!
  9. The OP 'Renee Good' was started by Deluge Jan. 9. I posted on page 1 asking for quotations. Didn't post again till the 15th after dozens of posts, mostly right wingers saying she deserved to die. But I'm the one who politicized it? Good's death was a state-sponsored murder, by a trigger happy goon who broke all ICE's protocols in the event. It was a political murder. But I'm the one who politicized it? CdnFux said on Jan 10: "The left is strongly pushing the idea that ice is there to kill citizens and harass the innocent." But I'm the one who politicized it? Goddess said on Jan. 13: "I haven't been able to confirm it, but she has 2 other children that she does not have custody of and there's a lot of chatter..." But I'm the one who politicized it? You just keep telling yourself pathetic lies to make yourself fell better. "No Mommy, I din't eat the cookies" said l'il Cdnfux as he wiped the chocolate from his face.
  10. Please cite the actual quote where she said those things.
  11. Played a lot of sports as a kid. Scoring a goal or winning a game brought a temporary elation. That's not pride. Learned to play guitar, too.. Felt some pride in that accomplishment. Felt even more years later, when I relearned after a carpentry accident- cut off the tips of my left hand fingers. Still play pretty good. But that's my accomplishment. I'm not 'proud' that Beethoven wrote the Pastoral symphony. Admiration and awe but not pride. Well, if we can feel pride for the good things in our history, we must also be able to feel shame for the bad things. Otherwise we're just 2-dimensional and whitewashing history. Because both the good and bad things happened. Instead of pride and shame, how about admiration and regret?
  12. Your fevered imagination is running away with you.
  13. Again, who are "They"? And please quote where I said anything remotely like what you're suggesting. I simply pointed out the dark side of European history that you want to gloss over.
  14. Bit of a touche there on 'Black Pride' but those are movements pushing back against centuries of abuse, suppression, lynching, murder by cops and white supremacists... BLM is just a response to the fact that so many blacks have been killed needlessly by cops who faced no repercussions, as if black lives didn't matter. Sounds reasonable to me. What would you do in their place?
  15. Way to go guys! Never miss a chance to politicise a heart-breaking tragedy.

  17. I am also Caucasian and neither proud nor not proud of it. I had no choice in being born one race or another, so how can I be proud of that? That's like being proud that the sky is blue. We can be proud of our accomplishments in this life, but pride in what someone did 500 or 1000 years ago, just because they had the same skin colour as us? That's a stretch.
  18. I'd say maybe 10-20% is biologically based. Every living thing has an imperative to pass along its genes and continue its particular species. But as humans 'fear of the other' is more a taught reaction, passed down by generation, exacerbated by politics and media. "The trick is to deal with this instinct in a civil manner...which is not always possible. " BINGO!
  19. "Nice bridge you got here. Be a shame if something happened to it, know what I mean?" What a blatant shakedown from a third-rate gangster and a pathetic, failing excuse for a president!
  20. https://www.cbc.ca/player/play/video/9.7082246 Liberals, Conservatives in behind-the-scenes talks to avoid spring election: sources "Liberals and Conservatives are working out a path that could keep the government in power, sources tell CBC News, while Prime Minister Mark Carney continues to downplay the likelihood of a spring election." https://toronto.citynews.ca/2008/09/07/why-did-harper-force-an-election/ "In calling the election, Harper ignored his own fixed-election-date law — legislation he’d explicitly pitched as a means of stopping prime ministers from calling snap votes whenever the political tide felt favourable." As much as I'd love to see PeePee lose again, there will be no snap election.
  21. Even by your low standards that's a ridiculously biased and stoopid statement. When the next Con becomes PM and visits Britain or Japan to enhance trade you'll say the same thing of course. No, your hypocrisy will get the better(worst) of you.
  22. Whoa - you're sending mixed messages here. You say Bullshit but then you agree with me. Birth rates are dropping in most countries over the last 25-40 years as more countries become more prosperous.
  23. AI: "Muslim-majority countries are experiencing a significant, widespread decline in fertility rates, dropping from an average of 4.3 children per woman in 1990-1995 to roughly 2.9 by 2010-2015, with projections suggesting a further drop to 2.3 by 2030-2035. While still often above the global average, many nations—particularly in the Middle East—have seen dramatic decreases due to increased education and economic shifts."
  24. No idea how you come to that conclusion. The point is: birth-rate is inversely proportional to prosperity. The richer the country, the lower the birthrate. Very little to do with religion.
