  1. I wonder how many people know that when government reduces taxes, it's revenue actually increases? The more they tax, the less they get in return. Unfortunately, our current PM doesn't care about "monetary issues" which is obvious because he's taxing the hell out of us!!
  2. I'm hoping the next election proves to be a major upheaval in Ottawa, not unlike D.C. I wouldn't want to even hazard a guess as to what would happen under another Liberal Party. Our country will be truly gone if they succeed in being re-elected or, if an election is never called.
  3. Now they understand that Harper was the better bet. Oh well, you get what you voted for & now we have the consequences of a horrible man who is PM who is either: very selfish & self serving, a fascist, a neo Marxist - I could go on. Elections do have consequences & this is what happens when you don't do your due diligence. A failed government that is holding its citizens hostage to whatever the hell they want. We now know that they do not have our best interests at heart - only their own.
  4. Alberta Health is improving but slowly. I don't know about HIV issues - not in my purview but the rest will come. There's a shortage of doctors throughout Canada, not just in Alberta. Unfortunately, the healthcare in ALL provinces is behemoth & it takes time to make changes & turn things around. Being ill doesn't make it any easier, but it is what it is. Unfortunately, the College of Physicians & Surgeons who control the number of doctors to be admitted, have refused to open up spaces so we can have more doctors' graduate. The organizations that medical professionals have to belong to are not too willing. I'm wondering since healthcare is a provincial responsibility, why the PROVINCES don't have more control over the admissions? This only makes sense. They can regulate the number of professionals in a given sphere so as to ensure that we have enough doctors & other professionals to serve our local communities. Why isn't this happening? It seems to me the organizations have more power over healthcare than our governments do.
  5. It's all about complete control over our lives. Trudy & his ilk will be able to go about their lives while we get poorer & poorer. I believe the goal (per WEF) is to make us like Venezuela and/or Africa with total reliance on governments.
  6. I listen to the Five on Fox on the radio. They're funny & very entertaining and think nothing of making jokes about whatever the news is of the day. They also express their opinions & are open about the fact that they are their opinions. I look forward to listening to them every day not only for the news but for their jokes & yes, their opinions.
  7. Wow, not only is the title disingenuous, but it is also factually wrong!! No where has Trump even suggested using the military against Americans! That is totally false. Must be a lib who is spewing disinformation. What Trump DID say was that when it came to immigration, he would use the National Guard to implement his immigration policies if required. Big difference but of course, the Leftists are playing this lie to the hilt. And they wonder why no one watches them anymore LMAO!
  8. I agree that the UN is corrupt & Canada should have no part in it. What do we get in return anyway? As one poster previously stated: "one vote!!" Big deal. It's also true that most of the countries that belong to the UN are from dictatorial countries. Some of the positions that were appointed believed the total opposite of the department they were assigned to. As an example, if someone from Afghanistan is appointed to "women's affairs." If that isn't an oxymoron, I don't know what is and that is exactly what happens currently in the U.N. I believe the whole organization could be or should be kyboshed or at the very least, cleaned-up with some countries no longer members. As for Israel, I support them completely. They were the ones attacked & are entitled to defend themselves. Since the country is so small, they MUST - they have no choice - but to defeat HAMAS & Hezbullah as best they can in order to continue to survive. Hamas & Hezbullah want genocide not the Israeli's. Israel just wants to be left alone. For whatever reason, (must go back to the bible) Jews have always come under fire and no matter what good they do in the world, they're still vilified mostly unnecessarily. Are they perfect? Are you? The answer to both is of course not and no one is. But for the most part, Israel does it's absolute best to save civilians from being killed, usually by warning them before attacking which, of course, is an advantage to her enemies. No other country was expected to go to this extent but again, for whatever reason, Israel must and does so willingly. If Hamas & Hezbullah put down their weapons today, there would be peace in the M.E. But their hatred for Jews is so visceral because they're taught from a very young age that Jews are pigs et al., it's hard to try to make them understand that they have more in common than not. They are blinded by their hatred so how anyone or any country can "plow" through that hatred, I have no clue. My prayer is that there is someone out there who can figure it out.
  9. Unfortunately, Canadians seem to be more apathetic than the Amerians. It took the Americans awhile to wake up to what was happening in that country & have finally voted for common sense. Canada, OTOH is the opposite. We're STILL not awake. We complain about the cost of things, the high taxes & the extreme biase against the West & still vote against our own best interests. I HOPE Pierre wins the next election but who knows. Unless Eastern Canada wakes up to what is going on, we'll likely have another minority government & there's SFA we can do. I suggest that we implement laws that would allow Canadians to either "impeach" or "recall" elected officials for deraliction (sp) of duty because as it stands now, we're stuck with a PM who care not a bit about our country & simply sees us as cash cows to benefit him. He implements rules & regulations that are unconstitutional but he doesn't care. He simply goes against the courts rulings. Between now & a potential 2025 election, there's absolutely NOTHING we can do to get rid of the a/o currently in office. We have cowards for politicians & could easily have an election if they had the intestinal fortitude to call for a non-confidence vote so we can have a much needed & desired election. This is where we find ourselves currently & the future doesn't look all that bright from my perspective. Comments??
  10. I give to organizations that help the poor & unhoused rather than to individuals. I do my due diligence before giving to ensure most of what I give goes to those they are supposed to be helping & not to administrative fees. I do tip at restaurants, the % depending on the service I receive & I do not tip for take outs.
  11. My understanding of the Russia/Ukraine business was that it was promised to Russia that Ukraine would never become part of NATO but Zelensky has asked to join NATO. Isn't this being considered by Europe & the U.S.? Is why Russia has acted the way it has? Maybe someone can enlighten me as to why Russia invaded the Ukraine to begin with.
  12. For mixed healthcare, all we need to do is look at Europe where both systems exist. It can be done if the will is there to make it work. Unfortunately, Canadians have been brainwashed to understand that ANY private healthcare is bad while public healthcare is good. What we DON'T seem to understand, at least in Alberta, we already have private health care. Our chiropracters, psysiotherapy are examples of private healthcare. The funding is different but could be changed to reflect what currently happens in other countries. Again, where there's a will there's a way. I don't know what's available in B.C. or other provinces so I can't comment. I'm sure people here will advise. It seems to me that B.C. covers natural health as well or I could be misremembering because I remember mom mentioning that Alberta doesn't cover it. I could be wrong tho'. There are options out there that we must research & not be so afraid of trying something new, especially since what we have now doesn't work!
  13. I agree whole heartedly with you. There's a BIG - no a HUUUGGEE difference between an adult doing what he wants and/or feels is right for him and drugging kids & mutilating them so that they can feel "better" about themselves - they will feel better once puberty is over but by then, with what is being advocated, it's too late to reverse any of the damage done to these kids. The very fact that it's ADULTS that are contributing to his horrible ideology is disgusting altho' that word doesn't even cover it - it's even worse than that. Anyone condoning the mutilation of children should be jailed with the key thrown away!! That is NOT disparaging to the Trans community - it's simply common sense. Unfortunately, the trans community is vile, mean & exhibits mental health issues which is why it's so important to ensure the safety of our children. Have you not noticed how "trans" has popped up only in the last few years especially? It's because there are people manipulating our kids. There is no other explanation.
  14. Why anyone would congratulate the PM or anyone else for that matter in giving back our own money is astonishing to me. Why take it to begin with if they're just going to give it back, not that they give 100% of it back. It just is a way for the PM & his elitists to hire more public servants to do their bidding!! Hopefully, Pierre will slash government when he wins the next election & cancels taxes that are not necessary after cutting wasteful spending as well. Here's hoping anyway.
