  1. I do not wish to presume anything here, but are you American? This is not meant to be insulting, but you don't seem to understand the nuances of our Congress. It is divided into the Senate and the House. Senators are elected every 6 years, 2 from each state. Representatives in the House every 2 years and are proportional to their States populations. Basically, yes, they are different Republicans. The Senate has historically been much more stalwart and have completely different internal political negotiations and power dynamics than those that go on in the House. So again... where do you get that the House reneged on anything? What changed is that Biden has allowed our own border to become even more of a crisis than it has ever been. As I already pointed out, Republicans want to see change there and the notion that we can provide 100 Billion in Aid to other countries to fight their wars and protect their borders does not sit well with many Republicans when we can't do anything to improve our own border problems.
  2. Where did the Republicans in the House ever agree to the Border Security Bill in the Senate? It was well known before Trump ever opened his mouth that whatever the Senate compromise produced was almost certainly going to be garbage most in the House would oppose. You are ignoring this context and merely saying "Republican" as if it is some monolithic block. The idea that politicians of either party will protect the party and be... politicians is not unique to the Republicans. You need look no farther than how Democrats sycophantly support Biden and pretend like we can't all obviously see he is too old and not all there anymore or that they don't cheer on authoritarianism when it suits them *cough* Student loans... The only fantasy world here is the one where you act like this is just Republicans or something unique now.
  3. I don't know who you are talking to, you completely ignored my question. I didn't say anything about JFK or Nixon, nor did I ask you about that part of your comment. You said: "you Americans now want war." I asked: "What do you mean, Americans want war? War in Ukraine? Somewhere else? Just in general? "
  4. What do you mean, Americans want war? War in Ukraine? Somewhere else? Just in general?
  5. No, it certainly is not a coup. For it being so certain, with all the different court cases against Trump, you might think one of them might be regarding a coup. I guess it is not so certain after all. The best Jack smith could come up with is a real contortion of conspiracy to defraud the United States. Big eye roll there. Trump "conspired" to defraud the United States in as much as Al Gore did. And he didn't pressure Pence to appoint him President. The Vice President doesn't even have that power. Eastman drafted up a pretty convoluted memo for a chain of events to take place that would never have worked, even if Pence went along with it.
  6. You repeatedly prove to not be very informed on things and then play this game with me acting like what I said isn't true, when you can easily verify it. Why not just ask me for the link or something instead of acting like it is just a story with no evidence? Biden appointed Garland, and Garland reports to him. This kind of political abuse of the DOJ to target certain groups and drag up old cases doesn't happen because Garland woke up one day with an itch. The short experience you have had with me should show you that I always have the receipts. Pro-Life Activist Arrested by FBI Acquitted on Federal Charges https://www.nationalreview.com/news/pro-life-activist-arrested-by-fbi-acquitted-on-federal-charges/ "The FBI arrested Houck in front of his family at his home last September. At the time, an attorney for Houck accused the DOJ of targeting the pro-life activist “solely to intimidate people of faith and pro-life Americans.” “Rather than accepting Mark Houck’s offer to appear voluntarily, the Biden Department of Justice chose to make an unnecessary show of potentially deadly force, sending twenty heavily armed federal agents to the Houck residence at dawn this past Friday,” said the attorney representing Houck, Thomas More Society Vice President and Senior Counsel Peter Breen."
  7. How is that selling out the nation? You continue to have a real problem with repeating your same assertions as if that somehow makes them true or provides any explanation. Trump is a businessman. He was pursuing an opportunity in Russia before he ran for President and even said why he should lose out on a deal if he might lose. Once he secured the nomination, his focus was on winning the Presidency. There was never any conflict of interest, and nothing happened. I am not interested in changing the subject to your biased interpretation for how the Emoluments Clause works. No, I did not read absolutism into anything, as I have repeatedly questioned you to be sure of what you are doing, because you play games otherwise... just as you are doing right now.
  8. Reasonable people also understand that when Trump said there were good people on both sides, there can, in fact, be good people on both sides, and not that Trump was saying that all the people were good, including the Nazis The point here was that if we are going to "Both sides" Trump, Biden just "Both sided" this as well.
  9. I did not question your source. I have no interest in folks who post a link without adding commentary about what they want to share specifically from it. I am here discussing this with you, and you have already proven you will balk at someone thinking you believe something you shared and play games. So... if there was something specific you wanted to point out, lets see it.
  10. No, you offered a surface-level assertion, no real explanation of anything. You can keep on thinking Trump can declare himself King of England and make it so if you want to. Facts, logic, and reason say it is a whole lot more complicated than that.
  11. I'm not interested in the check this link out game. If you have any, give me your #1 best and most compelling piece of evidence here. You might start with where Trump planned an "insurrection," let alone implemented one.
  12. I am no fan of the weaponization of the Justice system against Trump... but some of this is his own doing. The guy was hanging on to classified documents and refusing to cooperate. That aside, none of this has anything to do with his being a circus clown with how he acts and the things he says.
  13. Nope, I meant exactly what I said. You need to look not much farther than his daily idiocy on Truth Social and all the other outlandishly stupid or absurdly exaggerated comments he makes nearly daily. I am no Trump sycophant here. I call it like I see it. Trump has always been his own worst enemy and all he really needs to do is stand out of Bidens way to win this election... but I doubt he can do that. I like many of the policy positions Trump has, but he is a deplorable person when it comes to the personal character department and it is a shame that the choices are going to come down to Trump the old man circus clown vs Biden the old man with Dementia who should be in a retirement home enjoying some ice cream.
  14. No, that is literally your opinion. The fact that you have to call it a "soft" coup is a dead giveaway. It was not a coup at all. If we want to play these little word games with "subvert the constitution" or "end democracy," we need to look no further than the Democrat's efforts to literally try to remove Trump from the ballot based on absurdly flawed legal theories and Biden's continued attempts to forgive student loans by executive fiat.
  15. He make himself a dictator by demanding illegal dictates? How does that work exactly? This is just pure fear mongering nonsense.
  16. Biden had his moment to condemn the bad actors and chose to "both sides" it instead.
  17. So... let me get this straight. You absolutely 100% believe Trump will in fact somehow magically make himself a dictator, destroying the Constitution, all because of this quote because Trump said so... but you also don't believe him saying it will be in one day? Just brilliant. I understand just fine, that Trump could declare himself King of England on Day one... that doesn't make him the King of England nor is there any credible path to such a thing just because he asserts it to be so. Maybe, just maybe, Trump was mocking folks who constantly call him a dictator and what a President does have the power to do on day one is reverse Executive actions and enact new ones... you know, just like Presidents do in all the previous elections. Or, you can just keep irrationally fear-mongering like you are doing.
  18. The purpose of citing the NYP was just to show you what Biden said. Are you really disputing he said that? Will it make you feel better if I get you another source so you can't play this dishonest game of trying to discredit the source instead of dealing with the facts?
  19. Well... because it was reported on. Biden condemns ‘antisemitic protests,’ and ‘those who don’t understand’ Palestinians in echo of Trump ‘both sides’ remark https://nypost.com/2024/04/22/us-news/biden-condemns-antisemitic-protests-those-who-dont-understand-palestinians-in-echo-of-trump-both-sides-remark/ “I condemn the antisemitic protests, that’s why I’ve set up a program to deal with that,” Biden told reporters following a Virginia event marking Earth Day, without specifying to what program he was referring. “I also condemn those who don’t understand what’s going on with the Palestinians.”
  20. The Biden DOJ was not merely following the evidence when they decided to target Pro-Life activists for retribution, dragging up a years old case that had long been passed over by other local law enforcement, because the guy was clearly innocent. Some Abortion supporting goon walked across the street to antagonize a Pro-Life dad and son and they got into an altercation because the guy was assaulting his son. It was on video and all the local law enforcement reviewed and declined any charges because the evidence didn't support any charges. Then Biden comes along with Garland and they not only drag that case back up, they send armed FBI/DOJ agents to the guys house, guns drawn, to drag him out in front of his family (when his lawyers had already said he would voluntarily come in if they decided to press charges). The guy was found innocent in like less than 2 hours by the jury, but the DOJ drug him through the mud, because the process is a form of punishment. Tell us again how Biden did not weaponize the DOJ...
  21. No, Cohen lied... but that doesn't answer my question. You asserted he was selling out the nation. Doing business in Russia in 2016 is not selling out the nation. Lots of people and business did business there. I am not lying, you are reading into my comment more absolutism than was there. The point was simply that you played games the last time an article was shared by you. Speaking of which... not sure you ever went back to answer the question if you did agree with it or not...
  22. Is being obtuse in your responses your big schtick here, like, do you really think that will win a discussion? It just comes across as dishonest and lazy. You don't need to see someone trying to get past a chain to understand they have formed a chain that blocks students. You can also easily google this or if you pay any attention to the news at all, see students are getting arrested for blocking students... "At Yale, university and New Haven police officers removed the protesters camped outside the Schwarzman Center on Monday and blocked entry to Beinecke Plaza. " https://www.cbsnews.com/news/yale-students-demonstrators-detained-amid-pro-palestinian-protest/ Yet again... if you pay attention to any of the garbage they are chanting: Call me crazy, that seems pretty obvious... So, do you have any other lazy stupid comments for me?
  23. Alright. You just keep repeating yourself and are not responding to my criticism. Continually asserting they lied... does not answer how you know they lied. Knowing your bill is not going to clear the Senate doesn't mean you do not support Border protections. If that is your big argument... then the Senate trying to pass what they did was not serious either, knowing the House was never going to really consider it either.
  24. Charlottesville was enough to drive a media narrative against Trump for a lifetime... the left still brings it up as does Biden. And yet... for all the disgusting and wrong rhetoric surrounding what happened there, many of these "protests" for what is essentially Hamas are just as bad and happening almost daily now, it seems.
