First, let's recognize that the 3 victims were heroic people that sacrificed everything to save the rest. They were amazing people. Second, yes there is an epidemic of trans people that go on murderous rampages or just commit suicide. All this does is highlight that mental health is the primary driver of mass killings. We need to address mental health in this country. It starts with destigmatizing mental health care. So many choose to not get help because they have a belief that seeking help is a sign of weakness. It continues with educating the public on signs of mental health problems so they know when to seek help for their loved ones. Once we start down that road, we can begin to solve the problem.
