  1. I have a different take on this. I think any evening of the score will be purely a show put on by Trump. And Trudeau badmouthing Trump is also a show. World leaders are all buddies with one another behind closed doors. Any kind of purported animosity from one politician to another is just to give the public an illusion of politics being real.
  2. I am neutral on this Israel-Hamas conflict, however I just want to comment on the above. I am absolutely SICK of government heads (this happens throughout the West, not just Canada) handing out their people's hard-won wealth to earn for themselves a reputation as a generous philanthropist. No, that is not your money, you did not earn that money, you don't have the right to just give it away to another country. It should be a criminal offence to mis-spend the taxpayers' money like that. Leaders who do that sicken me.
  3. This decision is indeed a breath of fresh air and a (small) victory for justice. However, I believe that we should probe a bit deeper, and ask ourselves some hard questions: What kind of political environment enabled/emboldened Trudeau to abuse his power like that? And what can we do to prevent something like this from happening again? Why did most Canadians do nothing about it? Did they care or even know that this was going on? Also, even though it's good that a judge ruled against Trudeau, I would say that it's too late. Damage has already been done. Trudeau had already stymied movements of freedom. Telling him now that he acted like a tyrant doesn't really accomplish much, IMHO.
  4. I think this phenomenon is true regardless of where one places himself on the political spectrum. A similar sentiment keeps supporters of People's Party of Canada (link: https://www.peoplespartyofcanada.ca/) from voting for their preferred candidates. People tell them, if you split the conservative vote, then Trudeau's party will win! And I think this argument severely harms PPC's electoral success.
  5. I have read an article by the World health council. It mentioned that there are viral plasmid DNAs in the vaccines that can integrate themselves into the recipient's genes. Also I have read the letter of Surgeon General of Florida (Dr. Ladapo) to the heads of CDC and FDA. In his letter, he made serious charges about the safety of the vaccines. Apparently the CDC and FDA "responded" by giving him word-salads. I can provide links to these studies if anybody is interested. Just send me a message. I am not sure if I am allowed to post the articles on here.
  6. I've heard that the federal government also offers MAID to war veterans who suffer from certain service-related injuries. It's absolutely shameful. Our veterans put their lives on the line for us, is this how we treat them? Also, MAID isn't just offered to people with mental illnesses, it's offered to the general population of those with a disability, be it mental, or physical. Luckily, the Canada disability act is in the works. If this benefit becomes a reality and assuming it provides a meaning amount of financial support, maybe our disabled won't have to choose to kill themselves.
  7. Agreed. Paper bags have actual use (people need these brown bags to carry the liquor they just bought); whereas they could simply put their magazines online, thus saving trees. Personally I don't have a problem with organizations wanting to go green, but I feel that they should set an example themselves. P.s. Why is the word "organisation" underlined as incorrect spelling? This is a Canadian website, isn't it?
  8. Personally I don't have any feelings either for or against electric cars. However, one thing I know is that they currently require constant recharging, and the reality is simply that we don't have charging stations everywhere. This essentially puts a limit on how far an electric vehicle can go.
  9. How is he able to continue to have a license after having been charged 21 times? Doesn't the ICBC revoke people's license?
  10. I agree, and personally, I think the nationalization of important natural sources should be a legitimate topic. If a resource comes out of the soil, it should be public property. All citizens should be able to benefit from it.
