What made America the World power that it is today, was to defend democracy in the free World. By entering WW2, the Korean War, and other conflicts, the US tries to prevent another great war. This could have happened in Korea, Yugoslavia, or other situations. Right now, the constant delay of arms to Ukraine, combined with the understanding that the Ukrainian Army cannot strike too deep in Russian territory, is impeding their chance of victory. Ukraine was geared up for a major counter-offensive in spring 2023, and internal squabbling by the US Government prevented the Ukrainians from driving the Russians out. The fact that some of you still consider Russia a "friendly nation" is sad.

Under your "America First" plan, the US did not get involved until late 1941, and although sending aid to the UK and later the USSR, refused to enter the war. Hell, it is fair to say that if America had entered the war when the UK, France, Canada, and Australia did in 1939, the Germans probably would never have conquered France, and been pushed back into Germany. The Holocaust may not have occurred. Japan considered this "weak" and decided to attack the US from Hawaii. This led to America pretty much being forced into the war, battling the Japanese, and later the Germans. If it were up to you, America would ahve done nothing, and the Japanese would have conquered Hawaii, installed military bases, and then launched attacks on the Pacific coast, including California. You can't ahve it both ways. You either participate in a war, or your position of not engaging in war.

Why not? Focusing on America only worked so well in World War 2.

The Russian/Soviet military has always supported the Kremlin, with the exception of the August 1991 coup attempt. Once the USSR ended, and Russia was again it's own entity, the Kremlin went back to controlling the military. The coup itself, only lasted 4 days. With all the Russian propaganda you and your cohorts constantly spew out, I would ahve expected you to know a thing or two about the history of the country itself.

Wrong. When Gorbachev became Premier of the USSR, Russia did not not technically exist as a country. It was a "Soviet Republic " in 1986. Gorbachev implemented a series of reforms, as he realised to USSR could not compete with the Americans, as the Soviet Union was impoverished and in debt. The satellites, or "Iron Curtain" certainly existed when Gorbachev took power. However, he made no effort to stop the collapse of east Europe, and the overthrow of the communists pupet regeimes in 1989. The Baltic Soviet republics started to declare independance a year later in 1990. Then finally, communist hardliners tried to stage a coup to reestablish old Sovier policies in 1991, but failed. Boris Yeltzin took over and declated that the Soviet Union dead, along with communism, and tried to establish a free market economy, while granting all former Soviet republics total or partial independance, as some former republics joined the CIS-Commonwealth of Independant States. The Kremlin has always been suported by either the Russian controlled Soviet Union, or beginning in 1991, Russia itself.

The USSR still had the military capacity to crush all resistance and uprising from Eastern Europe. The point he is trying to make, is Gorbachev implemented reforms in the name of Glasnost, allowing most countries in Eastern Europe to uprise and topple the communist leaders without Soviet intervention.

This sort of thing has played out in nearly every Presidential family in my lifetime. Jimmy Carter had a wayward brother. Nancy Reagan wrote unflattering books and posed in Playboy to upset her family. Bill Clinton's half brother Roger was messed up. Barack Obamas half brother in Africa tried to run for office in Kenya, falsely claiming Obama endorsed hos ideas, lost, and out of spite, now supports Trump. Mary Trump has wrote best selling books about her famous uncle, declaring him a dangerous sociopath, and is a huge Democratic supporter. We all know about Hunter Biden. So who cares what Tim Walz estranged brother thinks? Hes a nobody that is looking for attebtion, riding the coat tails of his famous brothers success, just like the rest of them.

Harper in 2015 was probably the least hated, considering Trudeau was going to get killed in the 84 election. Mulroney was hated everywhere by 93, and bowed out. Trudeau Jr is hated big time. However, Harper did not have the hatred towards him in 2015.

What is incomprehensible, is the fact that Hamas took this young man, who had his arm amputated by a grenade launched at him from the rave party, forced him into captivity in Gaza. Despite needing medical attention for his amputation, refused to release him. Then after nearly 11 months as a hostage, murdered him in cold blood. Israel should annex the entire region, and expel all it's inhabitants.

Here is a chart that illustrates that annual budget deficit up until 2019. Notice how the deficit is usually larger when Republicans are in office. For example, Reagan/Bush ran deficits every year. Clinton became president in 1993, and by the end of his term there was actually a surplus. George W Bush came in, and beginning in 2002, started running a deficit again, and the last two years were historically bad. Obama begins his term in 2009, with a historically bad economy, and manages to reduce the deficit annually for the majority of his term. Trump comes in, and once again, the deficit grows to historical lows. You can spin this however you want, but it still will not make what you are saying correct.

First off, the Tories do not exist. The party has been defunct since 2003. Secondly, the demise of the PC Party (Tories), was their handling of the Constitutional Crisis of the early 90s, and the early 90s recession. Kim Campbell went on record in 1993, during the brief time she was PM, and stated that the recession was likely to last for the remainder of the decade. When the Liberal Party took office, the economy immediately got better, and recovered by 1995, and Canada went into a period of relative prosperity for the next decade. The Tories never recovered, and merged with the Alliance.
