We're talking here about teaching, about kids who don't even know what sex is being taught by largely incompetent adults in a way that almost encourages them to feel they're perfectly free to 'choose' what gender they want to be without consequence. Given the confusion and fanaticism around this subject, especially among the identity zealots in the academic and education world, they shouldn't be allowed to even speak to children about it. 95% of young people who claim to be transgender aren't. They're largely young girls uncomfortable with their changing bodies and the interest that draws, and young guys confused and bewildered about the male role in society, given how males have been denigrated and emasculated by our cultural elites. Top that up with people who are mentally/emotionally ill looking for an excuse for their problems, as well as sympathy and attention. And people like you just encourage them.

Had a discussion with a friend who is a fierce proponent of immigration yesterday. And she was extremely determined to make me aware that in Canada, we don't ascribe to the melting pot idea like those evil Americans. Immigrants are free to retain whatever culture and values they want to. Even hinting they should maybe embrace Canadian values was flatly rejected by her. Saying people could go back where they came from is racist, Nazi!

Realistically, a war between one side that is so soft-hearted they can't bear to force refugees away even if failing to so so threatens starvation for their own kids - and a group that has hardened their hearts into killing whoever they need to to ensure their family's survival is not going to last long.

That depends on how many ships packed with refugees wind up on our shores. I don't see Canadians sinking approaching boats, but on the other hand, within a few decades Canadian-born people will likely be a minority in this country. Those born and raised in India, Pakistan, China etc. are likely to have much harder hearts...

I have met a lot of immigrants and worked with a lot of immigrants and have a lot of immigrants as neighbours. Approximately NONE have left their homeland because of its conservative views. They came here for what they hoped would be an economically better life in a safe, ordered society. They certainly didn't come here to let their sons have sex with other boys or be taught that they could actually be girls if they want to be and helped along with that in school without their parents being informed much less consenting.

I definitely advocate recognizing that male bodies are different from female bodies and that males are different from females. I also advocate real science, not the nonsense that passes for 'science' these days. Gender dysmorphia is a real thing and such people have my sympathy and should be treated with utmost respect. But as far as I can see that makes up only a tiny percentage of people claiming to be trans. The rest, the ones who suddenly decide they're trans when they're in college or in their thirties or forties - they're mentally ill. And most of the teens and adolescants are caught up in a fad. Some are disturbed by the way their bodies have changed and the new expectations and attention their bodies are bringing, some are confused about their roles in society and how (particularly for men) those roles have all been denigrated and dismissed. Very few are legitimately suffering gender dysmorphia. I love women enough to feel they should be protected, both their privacy and their safety. So no, I don't think some guy should be able to insert himself into women's sports or women's safe houses or changing rooms or even prisons just because he says he FEELS he's a woman. This month. Maybe next month he'll feel like he's a man again. Screw that. At a very minimum they'd need to show their determination by getting their dicks removed. Do that and maybe I'll show some acceptance. That's such an archaic and cliche'd view, and if you actually think about it (not that you actually think about things) it's actually kind of homophobic too.
