  1. I agree but, there has never been a time without inflation. "while deregulation can have benefits in terms of promoting competition and economic growth, it also has potential drawbacks. These include the risk of market failures, increased inequality, risks to consumer protection, economic instability, and the creation of monopolies." So, while deregulation is a maybe but are the risks worth it?
  2. Yes, the public. You want it and you will pay for it.
  3. Look, you can argue till hell freezes over to find someone to blame. The fact of the matter it is us, the collective us, that have driven up costs. We want more and we are willing to pay for it.
  4. Why would the liberal hide??? It belongs to Canada...you and me and the indigenous. The Liberals don't own anything ...except the votes needed to form government LOL
  5. Again, who is whining? I am celebrating, Liberals won PP lost and Carney is the elected PM. I understand if you do.not know the difference between whining and celebration, you have been whining for 4 elections now and the libs have been celebrating all those wins The whining keeps resonating in your head LOL
  6. Oh, then is was not the libs? Before covid was Harper. Anyway, I gave you 3 sources that show the steep rise and why. I have explained it to you...it is circular, one wants more and then the other then in the end, it all costs more. Simple. You can pick which one you want to be the primary one but in reality, it rotates. If you are implying fuel is the reason?? They do not ship one 2X4 at a time. The increase in fuel is absorbed by the huge numbers of products shipped. If the government made the fuel cost go up, but are saying it was before covid then you implicate Harper.
  7. For sure I am not whining but the gloat, well, all done for you. Sucks to be a LOSER Eh? LOL
  8. While the PC got more votes and seats, so did the Liberals The liberals increased their votes by 11%. The cons by 7%.
  9. Actually, most land is owned by the indigenous.
  10. Toronto, and other places housing prices went sky high during covid. People went crazy and there were bidding wars for nearly every property that was for sale. That made every body after covid think that their house was worth that too. When prices stabilized, they stabilized at the higher price. https://www.cmhc-schl.gc.ca/en/blog/2021/-/media/4fb76e6f67bc49ba9b878ff352f3aa47.ashx https://www.crea.ca/cafe/five-years-later-how-pandemic-trends-are-still-affecting-canadas-housing-market/ https://www.torontomu.ca/centre-urban-research-land-development/blog/blogentry73111111111111111/ And then there is demand. Like everything that is in demand, the price will go up but....even then, people are willing to pay the price. As I have said and will reiterate, there are houses for sale but more importantly, they sell. Someone is buying. For sure foreign ownership caused some of the issues but provincial governments (which really are the ones that control housing) have restricted foreign ownership. Are you implying we (government) should decide who can buy a house? You need to apply to the government for permission to buy a home? Who is going to pay for the infrastructure (roads, streets, sewers, water etc) associated with building homes and developments? Is the developer the taxpayer?? Is that regulations or taking the burden of developing land off the taxpayer back.? I have no idea what you are trying to say with e "Hey RONA" sentence. Point is, all costs from infrastructure to materials to labour have gone up a lot , hence the cost of building and buying a house have gone up proportionally. What is the "dumbest or the most malicious act leadership could have made." ?
  11. The inane post you don't like is for real. There is absolutely nothing you can do but whine and cry for the. next 4+ years. So, the fairies need to be fed by you but there is no hope they will come out of their cocoons LOL
  12. Harper had the same problems. It is a good thing Carney was his financial advisor and Governor of Bank of Canada to help him. There is nowhere that it says you are entitled to buy a house, or car, or vacation for that matter. Harpers Legacy....not so good https://policyoptions.irpp.org/magazines/october-2016/economic-performance-and-policy-during-the-harper-years/
  13. And supported and backed by Canadian tax payers. If CPP was only what you put in, then you would get nothing after 5 years. LOL
  14. Resorts to nothing but name calling. A sure sign of a loser losing it all LOL
  15. Alberta has threatened separation many times only it did not have the balls to have a referendum like Quebec. It always need to get funding from the feds LOL
  16. Awww, more excuses why PP lost it for you. LOL Suck it up...you lost and it does not matter by how many
  17. Oh, hate the country but love our money?? LOL Move to Quebec, that is what they are like Oh, the Canadian taxpayer Sucking the government teat like your leader PP.
  18. Nope, just hitting you on the head with the reality hammer LOL Ya gonna mope and whine and cry for ht e next 4 to 5 years??
  19. Yeah...but he was Harpers chosen man. He did as Harper wanted just as he did what Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne wanted and as Trudeau wanted. "In 2012, Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper asked Carney—who was then governor of the Bank of Canada—if he would join the Conservative government as minister of finance." Harper loved Carney. LOL “On behalf of the Government of Canada I would like to offer my congratulations to Mark Carney on his appointment as Governor of the Bank of England. Harper then said, “In this time of global economic uncertainty, Governor Carney has done an admirable job in fulfilling the Bank of Canada’s mandate and has been a valued partner as the Government has worked to steer Canada away from the worst impacts of the global economic recession. As a result, Canada remains an example to the world with its strong banks, effective regulatory environment and sound economic policy. “I wish Governor Carney every success as he begins his new role on July 1, 2013.”" "Carney's actions as Governor of the Bank of Canada are said to have played a major role in helping Canada avoid the worst impacts of the 2008 financial crisis" "Canada has done more than survive this financial crisis. The country is positively thriving in it. Canadian banks are well capitalized and poised to take advantage of opportunities that American and European banks cannot seize." Where as PP was and is a zero and a life long politician with zero credentials.
  20. He was also chosen by Harper to be Governor of Bank of Canada and Harper asked him to be Finance Minister. We will enjoy you whining for the next 4+ years LOL BTW....The Conservatives have had 3 leaders since Harper lost and all have grossly failed. Maybe the cons have a big problem, not the libs or Canadians LOL
  21. Poor loser eh?? You have 4+ years to wallow in faulure. ")
  22. No matter what, he has his pension and will be on the governemtn teat for the rest of his life. he may be the only person in canada that has been on government welfare for his entire life LOL
  23. BS. Ford never said anything about the election. He was completely silent. As PP was for the Ontario election except PP told his people not to help Ford. From a former conservative campaign manager "“This campaign is going to be studied for decades as the biggest *ucking disaster in terms of having lost a massive lead in ways that were so obvious, with so much information,” he said on the “Curse of Politics” podcast."
  24. But, but, but ...the Liberals won and Carney is the PM. I love the excuses that keep coming
