So, the quotes and what I said is correct. But you need to go on an insult tirade to deflect that your supposition and fearmongering is BS. It sounds like there's a lot of tension and maybe some hurt behind those words. If you're venting or responding to someone who’s upset you, it might help to take a step back and think about .....whether it's to be heard, or just to move on. And to downvote your own links and quotes is myopic and !diotic. LOL Good one LOL ...so typical of you...a LOSER

Nope. As your link stated, they have to apply from outside Canada and they have to have the skills, education and language profile to get in.The also have to have an employer willing to take them. According to the program, only 970 have been eligible since inception 7 years ago in 2018. So, it seems that it is not "much easier". Oh and, downvoting quotes from your own link seems rather 1diotic LOL

Better than PP's and Smiths response d0 "The conservative" (drops Trumps pants and get down on their knees) LOL

"So basically they're going to make it easier for temporary residents to become permanent residents. ".... is BS, as usual. LOL Seems the headline needs a lot of clarification instead of fearmongering and supposition. LOL "While details about eligibility criteria and program structure are still awaited, the government has confirmed that the new program will be launched before the EMPP expires on December 31, 2025." A program in place for the past 7 years..... "Launched in 2018, the EMPP links skilled refugees and displaced persons with Canadian employers through economic immigration programs. To date, nearly 970 individuals have settled in Canada under this initiative, according to official data from 2019 to March 2025." "To qualify, applicants must demonstrate their refugee or displaced status via approved documentation or referrals from IRCC-recognized partners. All applications must be submitted from outside Canada." "The job offer stream allows applicants with full-time employment offers from Canadian employers to apply, provided they have at least one year of work experience, as well as sufficient education and language proficiency based on the National Occupational Classification (NOC) Training, Education, Experience and Responsibilities (TEER) categories."

WestJet & Sunwing -Airlines in Canada
ExFlyer replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
We all have personal stories about flights and airlines...no matter what flight or airline. We flew Lufthansa and they ran out of food. We flew British Airways and they double booked the seats and we had to move to the back. The links for the awards Air Canada got are cumulative surveys. -
WestJet & Sunwing -Airlines in Canada
ExFlyer replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Sunwing is a disaster. It has garnered nothing but complaints for delays and cancellations. The issue was they did not have enough aircraft and when one aircraft broke, it affected it's schedule Westjet was having issues of their own, especially in the winter travel sector with cancellations and delays. Westjet bought Sunwing to try and alleviate the problems with it's own flights hoping Sunwing vacation destinations will help with aircrft fleet problems. Air Canada has won and continues to win awards for its service etc. In 2025 alone it won https://www.aircanada.com/ca/en/aco/home/about/media/awards.html#/ and including Best North American Airline https://www.aircanada.com/media/air-canada-named-best-airline-in-north-america-at-the-2025-skytrax-world-airline-awards-presented-at-the-paris-air-show/ -
Keeping espousing that PP got 41% of the vote seems to negate the fact that 59% did not vote for him It seems that like the American electorate, the less educated you are the more apt you are to vote conservative. PP supporters are less educated. Or, the more educated you are, the less you support Polievre. "The study found that Pierre Poilievre’s favourability decreases the more educated one is. Positive impressions of Poilievre sit at 49% among Canadians with a high school diploma, and 40% among college and trade school graduates. Just 23% of Canadians with university degrees have a positive opinion of Poilievre. Conversely, favourability of Liberal leader Mark Carney increases the more educated one is (48% among high school graduates, 74% among university graduates)." https://cultmtl.com/2025/04/favourability-of-pierre-poilievre-decreases-with-education/

Liberal Party Takes Lead in Polls
ExFlyer replied to TreeBeard's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Phuck...you cannot even read, let alone comprehend. "In 2011, Canada, under Prime Minister Stephen Harper's Conservative government, officially withdrew from the Kyoto Protocol. This decision was the culmination of years of the Conservative party's opposition to the treaty, which they viewed as ineffective and economically damaging. While Canada had signed the Kyoto Protocol in 1997, the Conservative government, taking office in 2006, actively worked against its implementation and eventually withdrew. Harper KILLED the accord you dolt. -

You said "No, harper just killed the commitment when it was obvious that it would not be humanly possible to meet it. The liberals killed Kyoto." As usual...you are wrong LOL Once again " "The Canadian environment minister, Peter Kent, said Canada was invoking its legal right to withdraw. Kyoto did not represent the way forward for Canada or the world, he said." https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2011/dec/13/canada-pulls-out-kyoto-protocol" As I said....backpedalling is what you do best LOL Oh and deflecting is what you do too. -

What a dolt you are. Cannot even admit it was your conservative party that pulled out of Kyoto LOL What a LOSER in every aspect Ha Ha Ha Here are some facts..... "The Canadian environment minister, Peter Kent, said Canada was invoking its legal right to withdraw. Kyoto did not represent the way forward for Canada or the world, he said." https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2011/dec/13/canada-pulls-out-kyoto-protocol The Liberals were not in power...Harper was and by the time Harper was forced to quit, the damage was done. 5 environment ministers during Harpers tenure...LOL Prove what you claim Chretien said....once again you will deflect and backpedal LOL Oh yeah, it is a conservative problem. 5 environmental ministers and none could do the job and when Harper was punted out...there was no climate program. l Epic FAIL. Environment Minister Leona Aglukkaq is the fifth minister in that portfolio in eight years to promise regulations aimed at curbing climate-warming emissions. 2013 was supposed to be the year, but nope. By year’s end, Harper confirmed we’ll have to wait a few more years. Meanwhile, the Conservatives continued to approve the expansion of the tar sands without any plan to reduce climate pollution. This will add to the 250 million litres of liquid toxic waste currently created by the tar sands every day. https://thetyee.ca/Opinion/2014/01/04/13-Fails-For-Harper-2013/ An environmental group on Friday gave the Harper government a series of failing grades on its approach to the environment in general, and climate change in particular. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/harper-government-given-failing-grade-on-climate-change-1.606465 ulie Gelfand, the Commissioner of the Environment and Sustainable Development, said a climate change audit found current federal measures will have little effect on emissions by 2020, the year Canada committed under the Copenhagen Accord to reduce domestic greenhouse gas emissions 17 per cent below 2005 levels. https://thenarwhal.ca/no-overall-vision-scathing-new-audit-environment-commissioner-exposes-canada-s-utter-climate-failure/ -
Elbows up was a liberal tactic??? What are you smoking??? Almost all conservatives were spouting this, even on this forum LOL I never voted liberal in my life...except this election Not sure what you mean by "was a joke not a false indication of intent vetted by focus groups "? Not at all, only to a select few...a tit for tat action. Also, there is no "disagree" emoji. The downvote is the only way to disagree. Sorry if it hurts your feelings. OK, if you want it to be over, do not respond or retort.

Harper pulled out of Kyoto. Harper had 5 Environment ministers and they did nothing to help Here is Harpers environmental record. From beginning to end. Dismal at best. https://thenarwhal.ca/harper-s-timeline-canada-climate-change-2006-2014/ -
https://www.reuters.com/markets/commodities/where-does-us-get-its-copper-2025-02-26/":The United States produces domestically just over half the refined copper it consumes each year. More than two-thirds of that is mined in Arizona, where the development of a massive new mine has been stalled for more than a decade. The remaining refined copper, just shy of 1 million metric tons annually, is imported" Trump almost always has to back off ans he does not get the big picture at all. He needs copper from other countries. They just do not have enough of their own.

Are you in any way saying this is a Liberal tactic?? PP did nothing but spout slogans during the campaign and is still doing it now LOL It is not even close to being a "worthwhile SOP when adopted by your party of choice." it is something done. My point and fact is and was that "elbows up" was first said and used by Mike Meyers on an episode of Saturday Night Live and then used by all parties. Here are just a few of PP slogans used. LOL
