Protesting on Public Sidewalks now illegal in Alberta
West replied to West's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
So proven wrong and this is what you come up with? What's in question is whether or not the law is reasonable or just used as an excuse to go after protesters which would be considered undemocratic and something they do in China or Russia -

The one I'm speaking of came into effect on March 18, 2022 https://www.globalnews.ca/news/8709399/calgary-protests-continue-emergency-injunction/amp/ The one you speak of came into effect after the rail line blockades. And according to the article, five were arrested for supposedly violating the injunction. -

No but they can use their lithium supply to fund other things and leap ahead. Just like we should be doing with oil and gas. -

Hockey fans standing in the middle of the street cheering and honking their horns would be similar, yes. There's no whining. It's a court injunction that they will enforce selectively. A corrupt legal system used to protect the image of the government. -

Its all one in the same. If you have unacceptable views to the government you can't protest. If they can virtue signal you can protest or clog up streets with honking and large groups of people ie BLM rallies or hockey games. The injunction is there in case they need it. Just like they targeted churches to send a message. Very sick stuff.. -
It's because people haven't taken enough vaccines.
-
We've already been over why the "per capita" statistic is nonsense in the debate. Furthermore that may have been the propaganda put out to get everyone to vaccinate but enough vaccinated are dying of covid to cause concern of effectiveness 1. We have a large portion of young adults whove been vaccinated because universities have mandated it. They were at basically no risk of hospitalization or death. This demographic would skew in favor of vaccine effectiveness. Under 60s have low risk of ever going to hospital with the bug. Of course the less healthy you are, the more at risk you are. A large portion of this demographic were mandated to vaccinate by employers despite no real risk of hospitalization or death. 2. The more telling statistic is the number of people already seriously ill with other health issues ending up in hospital. The average person ends up staying home with a bowl of chicken noodles soup for a few days and is fine.

That and these "theories" ignore key historical pieces. They talk about "women" or "black people" not having voting rights but the reality is the MAJORITY didn't have voting rights as that was reserved specifically for property owners. Only a small fraction of society actually owned slaves but all white people somehow are blamed. It was black people who sold other black people into slavery. Pretty well every race has been subjected to slavery throughout history. They talk about a "disproportionate number of black people killed by cops" without actually acknowledging the crime rates AND given the number of encounters police have each day the rarity that a unarmed person is ever shot by police regardless of skin color. This is then used for racist hiring policies such as affirmative action. Now should we learn from history and not treat each other like crap? Sure but I don't think the policies they promote do that. Just continue to categorize people by race, assign labels to them (oppressor v oppressed) and is destructive to society as a whole.

Will The Gesundheitspass Actually Be Scrapped?

You'd probably say it's Russia or something or focus on how the dump was "classified" therefore "illegal" as you folks have done with other bombshells that show criminality -
Our public health care system is failing us.
West replied to blackbird's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
The feds used to chip in about 50% of health funding. Now it's at like 20%. But yet they'll blow money on useless nonsense like vaccine identification rather than improving Healthcare. -

Lol.. This is like the Rona restrictions all over again. BLM protests were fully allowed, even encouraged by our politicians. Protests against being locked up in your house and losing your business because of mandates were not allowed and resulted in hefty fines. What kind of "justice" system is that??? -

No I'm implying people lining the streets, honking horns, etc after their team wins a hockey game doesn't violate the injunction. Those are acceptable views. Those demanding that they are allowed full control without punishment over their medical decisions are treated like criminals. Those views are unacceptable -

Ya you are. They levied an injunction on people marching on private sidewalks if it's a rally. But are not levying the same injunction against fans who will occupy an area to watch an NHL game. Get it? -

I think you are mixing up the two. One are the weekend protests in Calgary which their mayor has tried to curtail. The other was alleged blockades in Ontario. -

In fairness the mayor of Calgary is a wokester. But Kenney is a fake and hopefully the freedom movement unifies in Alberta -
This type of nonsense like in the article is likely to further the Liberal efforts to regulate the internet. The pattern seems to be create a fake crisis and use the fake crisis to further your political objectives. It's likely Freeland bringing American gutter politics to Canads. For your safety of course

Environmentalism and the Green utopia: Does it make sense?
West replied to West's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Our "whole economy" will never grind to a halt. We will become a service based economy as has been the trend whereas before we had some industry (can't exactly move the Canadian oil fields to China as an example..) However if you are going to destroy industry that provides reasonable wages, then our quality of life will grind to a halt and will be replaced by the Chinese. -
Not long ago people were mocked for saying the homosexual marriage thing was a slippery slope that would lead to the normalization of incest and Pedophilia. Well here we are getting closer to the bottom of the slope lol

You are right. It's much more than just lithium batteries. It's ridiculous carbon taxes making our industry non-competative, driving manufacturing out of the country to China, and then becoming reliant on them for essentials. And with China's lax environmental standards and coal power, doing absolutely zip to reduce global CO2 emissions, just shifting them and screwing over the working class. Now if we shift away from fossil fuel as a main energy source, which is in abundance here, and rely on China, I fail to see how we are not empowering them -

I notice they tend to count all unvaccinated cases and deaths then compare it to the vaxx number omitting the fact that for a year the majority were unvaccinated.
