It most certainly does prove that Hunter was hired for his "family connection". The Tucker interview elaborates further and he explains that he and others ie the president of Poland and other high ranking Ukrainian folks were hired to get them out of the legal issues. Burisma was accused of illegally selling gas and Shokin had frozen their assets, the CEO fled the country. It's a false narrative that shokin was doing nothing. Furthermore the narrative that shokin was corrupt is baseless and has been thoroughly debunked by the recent Fox News interview as well as Rudy's.
