    1. Actually - for your points to be valid you have to continually separate "them" as policy-makers vs scientists.  The temperature predictions have been sound for the most part.

    2. I actually stated in the past post that it may not be a lie so I can't respond to that.

    3. Here's an example other contexts: assuming there's a real pandemic that is a threat to life, is the government justified in lying about the usefulness of face masks in order to prevent people from buying them, hoarding them and depleting the supply?  If we are at war with another country and it's not going well, is the government justified in keeping that under cover to keep up morale?  Not easy questions.

    4. "Crisis" is highly subjective.  Warming is happening, though, and the question is: how great is the risk.  But this thread isn't going to be about debating climate change (again).  The link in my signature has been there for years and nobody has come back with a challenge that convinces me that it's not true.

    5. Yes, but you misunderstand my question.  Not what to do about climate, but what to do about politics and our public dialogue ?

    1. The scientists said the politicians are warping their findings and conclusions. Of course they are separated.

    3. Telling the truth would be nice.

    4. Ahhh...now you wanna argue morality and degrees there of for each individual. Ain't-a-gonna work buck-o. There is no crisis because there is no crisis. That's the bottom line. "BELIEVE THE SCIENCE!"

    5. Again...tell the fcking truth.!

Hmmm.. so by your logic, every criminal (every single one regardless of geography) who commits an armed robbery is set free with no questions asked. Well.. this just shows that you never leave your house. If I cherry picked the internet for examples... I could do what you did. However, arrest records and hard data debunk you. "Affect" and control are not the same.. I used to think that you are just playing stupid but alas.. you are the typical internet forum poster whose bias and lack of intellect preclude you from saying anything of value.

    Now you're being silly...

    PhD huh? Wow...

If the Arctic isn't warming, why is the sea ice disappearing and why are Arctic glaciers melting at an unprecedented rate?

Because the story you're being fed is a lie. Or do you now not really believe "the science"?

    Such hypocrisy...

I was going to make that point as well.

Not one of these a$$holes wants to live the standards they set for "everyone" else as they think they are above it - as if they're royalty.

My God, do they really want to live through a full scale revolt?

IMO...the powers that be are "priming" the global population for disaster of their own making.

    The Rona scare.

    The wars.

    The immigration.

    The climate BS.

The population is freaked out now. They'll wait till its unlivable and then...present a solution that appears to save the world. People will willingly hand over what's left of their freedom. Et voila...mission accomplished.

Read the last 2 chapters of The Illuminati.

    Coincidence?

Well at least you provided something new, ie. I haven't seen this before.  So first of all: good for you.

However... Please put your outrage in a little box and bury it in your yard, at least for the time being.

That is: Just because policy makers exaggerate conclusions to drum up support from the "public", ie. "masses" doesn't mean that there's no reason for action or that it's entirely a "lie".  For all we know, the boy who cried "wolf" might have seen a stray dog, right ?

So... we can, simultaneously, demand that government be honest with us while ALSO demanding that the "public" step up and be honest in their response.   The problem is how to do it in a mass society.

If you actually hold absolute honesty as a PRINCIPLE, well good for you.  I do applaud that.  Now, in practical terms, how do you propose making a clearer and more honest picture available for public consumption - by a "public" not by the mob ?

I ask with an open mind, and honest curiosity here.

    Alrighty then

The governments and institutions have propagated this climate fear-porn for decades now. NONE of their over the top predictions have come to pass. Why? How is it that so much effort and money...OUR money...is blown on warping science and lying to the faces of the "masses"?

How would I make it clear? By telling the Gawd Forsaken truth!

    1. There is no climate crisis. In fact, it appears the poles and oceans are now cooling a bit.

    2. We have just emerged from a pandemic (we can debate the validity of that too if you like?) during which the governments printed money and devalued everything. Now...when a recovery "should" be everyone's primary concern...these evil pr1cks are doubling down on destroying a primary pillar of the global economy. Why? ESPECIALLY when they know the facts and warp them for their political purposes.

    3. You are correct. I am outraged. I have had it with this abject chicken sh1t!

    4. What to do? Drill Baby Drill. Farm, mine, bring the economy back from the brink. As it does...which it would...invest in research into alternate energy sources. Implement some even. See how they work. Eventually these scientists will find a way to generate power without burning things. Perhaps even without the inherent risk of nuclear power. But do not forsake our existing power source out of fear and lies. Not until we can perfect another means and not by imposing suffering on the entire globe...based on lies.!

  6. @Aristides

Hi Tweenkie-Poo...why don't you do something other than lie?

    Prove there's a crisis...if you can.

Either that or take your whiney crap and go starve a baby...freeze to death some old retired lady...go watch people put food back on the shelves because the prices have risen so much that they have to feed their families KD and hot dogs now.

Your an evil piece of sh1t... @Aristides.

This garbage is going to be stopped. There is no scientific proof of any "climate crisis". Its all warped by the governments and institutions.

So come on @Aristides...man-up and prove there's a crisis worth fcking the global economy over...ESPECIALLY when every nation is now trying to recover from the insane spending of The Rona BS.

Go ahead jack-a55...grow a spine or p1ss off.

The idea itself is insidious and evil.

I didn't read the article because I don't need to read the article. The heading itself told me everything I need to know: You have a billionaire saying "everyone should". When a scumbag like that has said "everyone should" it means "everyone will" has already been set in motion.

Gates isn't the only global cultist who's in on this, which makes this "idea" that much more dangerous.

Except I'd bet that Billy-Boy has no intention of replacing his rib steaks with fake protein blobs.

Russia says that it could target British military locations in the UK and beyond if the West doesn’t cool it with threats.

UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron recently said that Ukraine has the “right” to use British weapons in attacks on Russia. For that, Russia summoned the British and French ambassadors to Moscow and told them this: “Any British military facilities and equipment on the territory of Ukraine and beyond could be a response to Ukrainian strikes with the use of British weapons on the territory of Russia.”

U.S. and U.K. politicians are talking a big game about sending troops to fight Russia in Ukraine but the State Department walked that back a little saying: “The President has made clear that he will not send US troops to fight in Ukraine.”

French President Emmanuel Macron also reiterated that when he said that he wouldn’t rule out sending troops to Ukraine, he didn’t mean it. On Monday he said, “We are not at war with Russia or the Russian people. We are also not seeking a change of power in Russia."

    ROFLMAO!!!

He didn't mean it...what a limp French Fry.

Then there's Brandon. The twit who the State Department has to correct because of his bloviations.

    Where's all the death-cultists now?

"We must support Ukraine and Democracy! Russian will lose this war!"

What a pack of blood thirsty, stupid people.

    1. Well it says you don't approve of it.
    2. This has been looked at and most qualified people and even unqualified think there is a concern, if not crisis.  You don't need anything beyond 'could be' with a percentage to assess a risk.  Everybody gets paid for a living in our system, so 'government funded' means nothing unless there's a world wide government conspiracy afoot, and there isn't.

So - that's a summary of what we have already discussed.  But you didn't provide any new evidence with your post, or any evidence at all.  You and others have had lots of chance to debate this idea in the public square and have failed, so your only recourse is to brand it 'evil' I guess.
    3. Conspiracy theory.  No evidence
    4. Superstition and conspiracy theory.  If you have new evidence that hasn't been debated down then please post.  Otherwise, this is an opinion, ramped up to rant level.

Whether most scientists outside climatology believe that global warming is happening is less relevant than whether the climatologists do. A letter signed by over 50 leading members of the American Meteorological Society warned about the policies promoted by environmental pressure groups. “The policy initiatives derive from highly uncertain scientific theories. They are based on the unsupported assumption that catastrophic global warming follows from the burning of fossil fuel and requires immediate action. We do not agree.”2 Those who have signed the letter represent the overwhelming majority of climate change scientists in the United States, of whom there are about 60. McMichael and Haines quote the 1995 report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which is widely believed to “prove” that climate change induced by humans has occurred.3 The original draft document did not say this. What happened was that the policymakers’ summary (which became the “take home message” for politicians) altered the conclusions of the scientists. This led Dr Frederick Seitz, former head of the United States National Academy of Sciences, to write, “In more than sixty years as a member of the American scientific community ... I have never witnessed a more disturbing corruption of the peer-review process than the events that led to this IPCC report.”4

Oh my! The government has been warping the actual scientific findings. Quelle suprise.

The article goes on to say,

    Quote

Policymaking should be guided by proved fact, not speculation. Most members of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change believe that current climate models do not accurately portray the atmosphere-ocean system.

This is what it looks like. PURE EVIL!

You wanna play little word games and try to justify this...disgusting idea and imposition...bring it on sonny!

I have had it with this UN/govenmental and institutionalized fear porn. Its destroying the entire global economy and has zero real justification.!

  10. This is typical Libbie BS.

Pixie-Dust and the Libbie hoard are actively trying to tear down the norms of our society.

    "Build back better."

Here's their warped sense of "better". An immigrant sex offender is given a pass and allowed to stay to finger-fck more young ladies.

Those of you who agree and support this disgusting practice are promoting pure evil.

All these immigrants and refugees need to be rounded up and sent packing.

And France is threatening to put military into Ukraine. But that will escalate the war to WWIII and the real threat of nuclear exchange.

Should that happen...should WWIII begin over a NATO reject...all you limp noodle war mongers will face global disaster. But while you all hide your worthless a55es, you'll profess, "We had to protect Democracy."

Pfft...you all have been wrong all along and now, your stupidity is in full view.

If WWIII starts, it'll be a NATO nation that starts it.

Well, it's a set of ideas, like Marxism, fascism, democracy , postmodernism..

The way these things work is you go after the ideas. You can call the adherent dangerous, say the idea is insidious and evil.

But that doesn't say anything about the idea.

It absolutely does. There is no crisis. None of your vaunted "scientists" will go any further than to say "could be". And all of them are government funded.

Thus all this financial and infrastructure damage is caused by a massive lie told to scare people into acceptance of the damage being done.

Causing mass hysteria and convincing to public to acquiesce to inflicting suffering on themselves based on a lie...is EVIL!

Hmmm... so when I look up the police arrest record for someone robbing a store and they do jail time.. what is your explanation?  This is too easy. Can you step up your game. Your few cherry picked examples do not invalidate the norm.

    https://thehill.com/opinion/criminal-justice/576078-whats-behind-rising-violent-crime-progressive-prosecutors-non/

So obviously government and law enforcement do affect crime. That you deny or ignore this is...part of the problem.

  17. 33 minutes ago, impartialobserver said:

well.. anyways back to the point. Most folks are not interested in taking responsibility for their less than perfect outcomes. This is the new way.  A store in xyzville gets robbed, it must be due to Biden and that only. The person robbing the store supposedly did not have any choice.

The person who robbed the store gets off Scott free these days. So he robs another.

That's politics and government affecting crime.

The robber should have been convicted. That would provide incentive to not rob ever again.

    More affects.

Is this hard for you to understand?

  18. 22 minutes ago, impartialobserver said:

From my experience.. most do blame the government. What's the first clue? They lead off with a whole story about how xyz was elected and that is why they have this problem or that problem. Online forum posters... are notorious for focusing on the president and having no intellect to consider other factors. The "other factors" demand that you are self aware and that is too much for most.

I can guess from your posts that you think that graduate level economics is nothing but debating Karl marx or John Keynes. Little secret... It is nothing but math, statistics, and probability. The philosophical stuff gets left behind.

    You would guess wrong.

Another little secret...don't make silly assumptions.

  19. 47 minutes ago, impartialobserver said:

yeah... and the material that we covered on day one would be so far above your intellect as to make it comical.

You are the one who keeps countering my claim that I am mostly responsible for my success or failure. A logical person reads that and thinks, "he must disagree with that statement".

Back to the point.. most folks today attribute the credit/blame for their own lives to politicians. Supposedly the one and only reason that they are poor is that society elected a certain President. Having been raised in poverty... there is so much more to it than that.

    I doubt it.

I'm sure there are people who blame the government for their lot in life. That's a debate I invite.

Do most people blame the government? No.

Your point is just so...over reaching?

  20. 32 minutes ago, robosmith said:

WHO did that? It seems you're unaware that the vast majority of state legislatures AUTHORIZE state OFFICIALS to act on their behalf to RUN ELECTIONS.
