They are, that's why they are specific, time limited and subject to the approval of parliament. US governments can impose martial law if necessary. Freedom an human rights are not protected when they are defined by a mob. This is not the US. You think you would have learned that on 01/06/21, but I guess not.

It isn't at any cost. What is it about, can be withdrawn by Parliament that you don't understand? What about the freedoms of all the people who have been inconvenienced and lost incomes and possibly even businesses because of these people. It is a good thing, a country has to be able to protect itself.

The emergency act is quite specific in what it allows and it's actions are limited to 30 days. It can also be withdrawn by Parliament. It isn't martial law or anything close. I do agree that the fact it is being used is a failure on government's part but expect that to be corrected in future.
