Been watching it most of the afternoon. Evan Solomon has been great at letting protesters have their say and explaining their different points of view. When they start yelling at him he asks them to come over and explain. You don't get much more balanced.

No social media, tin hats were pretty much a closet thing.

Not martial law, not even closes. Habeas Corpus has not been suspended and the Charter is still in effect.

The NDP power base is in the Lower Mainland and Island where opposition to the TMX was strongest. Politics.

Kinder Morgan dumped the pipeline after spending over a billion trying to get it approved and spending millions in legal fees fighting the likes of the BC government in hundreds of legal challenges which they all won. They didn't just sell the pipeline, they dumped all their Canadian assets and operations. They are done with Canada.

They were found in trailers. So, why do you bring firearms and body armour to a "peaceful" protest? Even one of the organizers of the protest said they had "been infiltrated by an extremist element".

No. The state is not committing any violence. Not being vaccinated is a choice. There are consequences for those choices but none of them are violent.

They aren't being charged with protesting. There is no such thing.

The US does not recognize Canadian pardons. You have to get a waiver from the US. Look it up.

So people who don't have choices because of their skin colour aren't victims but people who do have choices are.

The pipeline is worth quite a bit. The existing line has operating revenues of over 700 million a year and BC would grind to a halt without it.

Doesn't matter, not being black is not a choice for a black person. Vaccination, or not, is a choice. Injuries from the disease itself are also a choice for the unvaccinated.

Those who wind up with criminal records because of this won't get into the US anyway. Vaccinated or not.
