Why is it that those who scream partisan the loudest are often the most partisan posters? -

Sounds like your kind of a regime. None of that messy opposition, just the rule of might. -

Nah, it's just a convenient way of ignoring criticism. Why defend Trump when you can just accuse his detractors of having a mental illness? It's nothing but a lazy cliche with no real meaning. -
Woodfords wherry, brewed by an independant Brewery in Woodbaston Norfolk (just outside Norwich). Multiple award winning ale. Easily my favourite beer and available in kit form for you to make your own. https://www.woodfordes.com/shopold/brewkits/

When any criticism is denounced as derangement a little bit of democracy dies. -
How exactly do you think that Brexit is going to stop illegal immigration? The vast majority arrive legally and then overstay their visas. Brexit cannot stop that. And no I'm not a truck driver.
-
Nationalist was the politest word I could find to describe his position.
-
As soon as you start talking about illegals it becomes clear that your arguments have nothing to do with Brexit. Thanks to its island status the UK has very few illegal immigrants. EU workers come here perfectly legally and pay taxes just like everyone else. Also the fact that you think it will be just a few minor changes shows your ignorance and unwillingness to understand the consequences of leaving the world's largest trade block. You are not alone, even people in this country ignored those consequences and listened to xenophobes like Farage.

There never was any worry of being forced to use the Euro or join Schengen. That's the thing about the supremacy of Parliament, it gives ultimate sovereignty to the UK government. On a personal level, Brexit will mean that I can no longer drive my food truck to an EU country and trade without having to apply for permission which I was previously able to do when I catered at a juggling festival in the Republic of Ireland. I may no longer be able to retire to my house in France as I had planned to do. In general terms the UK economy is predicted to shrink as restriction free trade with our major trading partners is disrupted. Inflation is set to rise as the pound falls and possible tariffs on imports will exacerbate this particularly on food products. The Union between England and Scotland is likely to end after more than 300 years. The division in society caused by Brexit will take a long time to heal. The value of the pound has already suffered along with overseas investment in British industry. Labour shortages in the NHS and other industries such as agriculture will get worse as EU immigrants continue leave the country in large numbers. Britain will be isolated and lengthy trade negotiations will have to be entered into with not only the EU but also 70 other countries which we previously had trade deals with as a member of the EU. No doubt you will continue to disregard these concerns as simply ''project fear'' without providing any evidence and will reject any links I provide to examples of some of them already happening as fake news from the liberal media. I have no illusions about convincing you as I have already seen how you operate and am aware of your trolling and petty nationalistic attitudes. You are not even in any jeopardy if your ill informed opinions turn out to be completely wrong as you don't live in the UK as I do. In fact, I don't really know why I'm even bothering to take the time to reply to you. There are many far better informed and less entrenched people here to converse with. Have a nice day.

Yes that's why we were forced to use the Euro and become part of the Schengen zone. Oh wait...
-
Yes, and we know what they say about opinions and arseholes... Far better to deal in facts. Facts such as no EU regulations have been imposed on the UK without the approval of the UK parliament.
-
I don't know where you get your facts but New Zealand exports huge quantities of their main agricultural products (Lamb) and butter to the UK. Australia only has to comply with regulations against injecting hormones and they could export their beef to us. We buy vast quantities of Canadian wheat to make bread as our climate does not produce wheat with high enough gluten content for the purpose. In fact, the UK imports 20% of the food it consumes from non-EU countries compared with 30% from the EU and 50% home produced. Since the EU is right on our doorstep it makes perfect sense that more of our food comes from there rather than further abroad. Trade with Commonwealth nations was already in decline long before we joined the Common Market mainly as a result of geographical proximity. I'm afraid that you have fallen for one of the myths of the Brexit movement.

It was formed to include Germany not simply contain it. The first move was the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC) agreed between France and West Germany in 1951. It then progressed to the Treaty Of Rome in 1957 between France, West Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg in order to reduce the economicaly harmful isolation caused by archaic trade laws which left Europe weak against the huge trade block of the United States. The European Economic Comunity (EEC) also known as the common market followed a year later in 1958. The collapse of trade with Britain's former Empire left the UK isolated and economically weak. The UK was desperate to join the Common Market but was blocked by France under De Gaulle in the 60's. By the time we were allowed to join in the early 70's Britain was an economic basket case. That is the economic history lesson that the petty, nationalistic, Little Englanders refuse to acknowledge with their desire to return to a sovereignty which was never actually lost.

You miss the whole point of the EU. It is not there to talk about ''enemies'' it is for the mutual benefit of its member states. It seeks to abandon the outdated ideas of ''us and them''. It has brought unprecidented levels of peace and prosperity in Europe. The UK was known as the sick man of Europe before it joined and the benefits gained from membership brought it up to the position of 4th largest GDP in the world. Along with those economic benefits it brought advances in worker's rights, environmental regulations and shared ideals. As for your last paragraph, opposing the poison of identity politics and shallow nationalistic ideals are why it came into being in the first place. The second world war and its racial purity horrors should never be repeated and cooperation and mutual advancement are what the union strives for.
