This is an example of a movement emerging from the energized centre. Not a lefty movement and not a revanchist movement. Here's hoping it has legs.

Has anyone seen this? Saw it posted on Facebook. I wonder how much potential this has? Looks about right to me.... Michael Douglas gives a strong performance.

+1 We are in need of new leadership. It's not going to come from the left. I'm hoping for a resurgent revitalized centre... but I don't see it emerging.

I'll give you stamina, powerful and rich. He's not as great a deal maker as he thinks he is. But he is ballsy... and that counts for a lot. Not smart. His family has assets... His wife is beautiful but vacuous. As Dougie says... he is a powerfully disruptive force... shaking up the system... he certainly is that... but it's unclear whether it's shaking up into anything much better than it was.

Yep... And the downside of Matriarchy is heading our way... overprotection, coddling whatever you want to call it. We need strong leadership to win over the women... Women can talk a tough game... but they crave strong leadership.... biologically and subconsciously. Don't fight them... win them over with those alpha male charms... and most importantly the competence. Alpha male competence is what is needed.

I doubt I'm that detached... Fascism isn't around the corner. We are shitloads of bungling away from that outcome.... not to say it won't come to that.... but it's hardly at our doorstep. Putin has his own problems. He ain't gonna solve ours.

Highly doubt it... Organized crime is happy to trade in hard drugs and prostitution.... not much political interest there. Don't even have the cash flow of marijuana anymore. You are indulging in fantasies my friend.

It seems the diplomacy with North Korea is faltering yet again as Kim Jung-Un heads up his special mountain on his special horse yet again. The banter back and forth is getting ever more hostile. Like I said... I agree that Canada should carry their share of the load with NATO. I support Trump throwing his weight around on this.... he should. At the same time I see the cocktail party humour as part of normal banter among world leaders.... it wasn't on stage... he was among his peers in the canteen.

As they should... that was hilarious! Because people need to be human and relax. You can't expect everyone to tip toe around all day out of fear of a temper tantrum.... people don't function well under those circumstances.

World leaders can't be expected to walk around in fear of Trump's tweets... It's better that they relax and think clearly. Humour is healthy.
