  1. Not disagreeing, not saying I don't want to take as much judicial power as possible, all I am saying is, if you don't hold the SCOTUS, it's all for nought on the constitutional issues
  2. Eventually they take back the territory, I take the long view, it's not about me, it's about the 1A & the 2A The 4A too, but both parties are so bad on that it's a wash at this point
  3. Push it all as far as we can go, but there's no such thing as a permanent majority so most of it can be overturned
  4. I'm a Republican so I'll go down with the ship as necessary, but as a conservative I can hold my nose on Trump's gaffes if it gets us to 6 to 3 at the SCOTUS Pandemics come and go, 6 to 3 at the SCOTUS blocks the bulk of the progressive agenda for decades to come
  5. None of the Trump supporters I know are loyal to Trump, they just hate the Democrat Progressives exponentially more than they might be disappointing in Trump It's not about Trump, it's about the 1A & the 2A
  6. Jimmy Carter's problem was that he went to war with his own Democrat congress, incited total gridlock, then went on tv and blamed the American people with the Malaise Speech But yes, I get your point, if this is the Great Depression 2.0, all bets are off
  7. There's just nothing being offered by the Democrats which is better, it's not even Republicans propping him up, it's disgruntled ex-Democrats
  8. Only because he wouldn't change his strategy War of attrition was not the only way, could have held the coastal cities with an economy of force without chasing them all the way to Cambodia America is a seapower
  9. Drawn down current and don't start any new foreign wars, tighten up on immigration, throw the unions a bone with a protectionist trade war What's the big whoop ? That used to be the Democrats platform.
  10. I don't see the problem, you said you don't like a slap on the wrist world That's how it was in the army, you were free to shoot your mouth off, but the other guys were also free to blanket party you like Full Metal Jacket I saw this happen a few times actually, in various forms
  11. When the government is in a total panic like this, I just hunker down and keep a low profile, don't attract attention, nothing good will come of it
  12. Even if you are sick, you don't want to go to the hospital unless you really can't breathe so need a ventilator Other than the ventilator, there's not much they can do for you at the hospital If you break the quarantine, they'll make you go to the hospital, so that's dumb, because the hospital is a terrible place to die. You might just have a mild strain, then when you get to the hospital you could catch the killer strain The hospital is the most dangerous place to be of all, that's where the young people are killed by it, the medical staff are trapped in the hospital
  13. In terms of panic on the ground, that has subsided here where I am at People are still stocking up as they go, but there's no more panic buying People are dutifully keeping their distance from each other, yet everybody is still out and about enjoying the sunshine Relax in the saddle, war is boring, pace yourself.
  14. As I always knew they would, the trick to being a Disaster Capitalist is not to focus on what should happen but rather what is most likely to happen That's the thing, when the Chinese were doing what they were doing, I knew that wasn't going to happen here and so this was going to hit the economy here harder. That is why I say ; don't go by the Chinese clock where this is going to be over in three months, pace yourself for a long war
  15. Zeitgeist wets his pants and goes full on Xi JInping, when the shit hasn't even hit the fan yet, knee jerk Canadian nanny police stater.
  16. Much of what they did is not legal in Canada, even under the Emergency Measures Act They can't start welding the doors shut on apartment buildings here trapping the residents inside, just by the fire code alone.
  17. First you have to find yourself the woman, took me a long time, some guys never find her, the Divine Matchmaker was berry berry goo to me.
  18. Thus why I am a recluse, we're already home free, don't go looking for Waingro
  19. I am McCauley, I fell head over heels for the girl, but we don't have kids, she never wanted them, if she did, I couldn't have married her, if I wanted them she wouldn't have married me. It's just about us, rolling down the road together, relaxed in the saddle I just have to make sure that I don't go after Waingro, that I just let it go, and move on. Life is Heat.
  20. That was only two people, Nancy and Don Regan.
  21. That was my first and foremost reason, from there I found other reasons, mostly needing to be able to move fast with no attachments if the shit hit the fan
  22. Have kids as you like, I didn't say don't have them, I said we don't have them, and I gave the ultimate reason why I've been a survivalist since I was in short pants, first thing I decided was that kids were not worth the grief. Like me ol' pappy used to say "son, I love you, but parenting is vastly overrated" Parenting is mostly a chick thing, the job of the apex predator male is war.
  23. It's not the only reason, simply the ultimate reason, the thermonuclear war is coming, sooner than people think
  24. We knew back in the 1980's that the future was not brighter but rather things were going to become evermore disasterous When the Millennials came along, we tried to warn them, but they didn't believe us This is not the big crash, this is not the doomsday bug, but it will come, and then there will be a thermonuclear war No place to be raising children
  25. We don't have any kids, we have Labrador Retrievers My generation is the Gen X Latchkey Kids who raised themselves under the shadow of the Third World War, I've been a survivalist since I was ten years old
