The horrors of abortion which our governments support
blackbird replied to blackbird's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Yes, I understand where you're coming from. It would be pointless to try to debate the history. I am not saying there were no atrocities against Catholics in history, but I think the overwhelming oppression was by Rome because they controlled much of Europe for most of the past 1,500 years. They had the backing and support of kings, church clergy, priests in the various countries of Europe. They controlled everyone's lives to the extreme degree. You should look up Avro Manhattan and read some of his books on the internet at archive dot org. The books are out of print now and very rare. But many of them can be read on the internet. Check the book "The Vatican Billions" and see how they accumulated such great wealth over the past 1,500 years. When the Reformation occurred, it led to wars as countries struggled to be independent. Wars lasting about a hundred years. There is lots of information in many books on the history of what went on through the centuries. Part of what fueled the Reformation was the discovery by Martin Luther that what Rome was teaching and doing, selling indulgences to get time off in purgatory for sins committed in the past and in the future. The whole system of Rome was discovered to be unbiblical. The Bible says salvation is not by works or sacraments or indulgences or anything but by faith alone in Christ alone. The church cannot give a person salvation and a person cannot earn it by his good works. That was the central message of Martin Luther from the Bible. -

That's because some scientists are more rational than the science worshipers. Many great scientists believed in God. How often have we heard someone say they would believe science over the Bible? Even yourself says things like that. You just did. You say the Bible is fiction which shows you know nothing about it. Many great scientists in history would disagree with you. But you know better. -

I am not so sure. Science is not a god and science is not infallible, but lots of people think it is infallible. They say science proves evolution is a fact. But that has been disproven and debunked. I don't believe science is always correct. -

Right. I am just saying that science is not perfect. I have watched a video of some people who lost loved ones from the vaccine. I know it probably saved millions of lives, but it is not absolutely perfect. There is some small risk albeit very small. Authorities didn't mention that. They don't want to scare people away from it. I am not talking about anti-vaxxers. I know there are those kind of people that exaggerate the risks. But if you are one of the people affected by it, it is a big deal. -

The vaccines for Covid overall probably saved a lot of lives, but they also reportedly killed some people. They were invented by scientists. Just another example to show scientists don't know everything. Some people worship science and think scientists are infallible. I have heard many comments on here about how people believe science over the Bible. That is a nonsensical comment because the Bible is not meant to be science book. It is speaking about the supernatural. Some people don't believe in the supernatural or God and try to use science as an excuse. Well, true science is useful and probably correct about some things. But they don't have all the answers about many things. They can't make a perfect Covid vaccine for one thing. They can't build a perfect space vehicle that will never blow up. That's my point. -

"On January 28, 1986, the Space Shuttle Challenger broke apart 73 seconds into its flight, killing all seven crew members aboard. The spacecraft disintegrated 46,000 feet (14 km) above the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of Cape Canaveral, Florida, at 11:39 a.m. EST (16:39 UTC). It was the first fatal accident involving an American spacecraft while in flight.[1][2]" Space Shuttle Challenger disaster - Wikipedia Just showing some examples to show scientists are not infallible and everything to do with science is not infallible. They do make mistakes. They are human and do not know everything. Darwin was human and his theory of evolution was a good-sounding theory but was not sound. It has been debunked by many. -

Listen, I know the RC system is a dark oppressive system. I oppose it completely. The problems you describe would exist in RC countries. Maybe you don't realize it but Biblical Christianity or Protestantism is entirely different. This could be a long discussion, but might be necessary. I could give you lots of information that you are probably not aware of. Romanism is a dark system of control of everyone's life. Control of marriage does affect women badly when they are in an abusive relationship. There are a some Reformed Churches that try to control or stop people getting a divorce, but I strongly disagree with them. In fact I attended one once for over 20 years. I got into a major disagreement over the subject of divorce because I believe people should be free to divorce in a hopeless marriage where there is abuse. But Protestant Churches that are Biblical don't stick their noses into that area and just leave it to the couples themselves do decide what to do. Some Christians would be available for counseling if that would help a individual or couple. People need support, not condemnation and control. You're talking to somebody who feels for people who are struggling in life and need some friendship and encouragement. That is what I believe. I know this sounds good in theory and is not always easy to do or implement. But that is the way it should be. People with differences should be able to at least sit down together over a coffee and discuss things peacefully. We may have to agree to disagree about some things. The darkest countries would be the countries that are predominately Roman Catholic. Perhaps you should read about and study the Reformation. That was a hundred years of struggle for some countries to break free of the RC church system and become Protestant. They developed democracy and human rights. The RC Church hated that and fought against Biblical Christianity for the past 500 years. Actually they opposed Bible believers longer than that. Bible believers were hunted down during the middle ages or dark ages and burned at the stake or tortured or imprisoned. Some sects were annihilated. They were considered as heretics. That is why we had the Holy Roman Inquisition for four or five hundred years. To eliminate the heretics. You either towed the line or were punished or eliminated. I have books and can point you to some that tell the truth about what things were like under the RC system. I can understand why some people would oppose the RC Church on some subjects, but it is a mistake to support abortion because one opposes the oppression of the RC Church system. Protestantism brought freedom and rights for people, but that does not mean they endorse anarchy or immorality such as abortion and other things. The rights of people should be respected. But there are certain things that just don't fit into the definition of rights. Nobody is forced to hold a certain religious belief as in Romanism over the past 1,500 years. But society has standards of right and wrong. Liberalism believes immorality is an individual choice. Liberalism is a rejection of many historic Judeo-Christian beliefs in the Bible. But there are things that affect other people negatively and should not be supported. Abortion is one of those things. Pre-marital sex is another liberal thing that leads to trouble and also contributes to abortion. -

I am not sure what you mean there. I know the Catholic church does not recognize divorce, but they do give annulments, which is a declaration that the couple was never married. That is a nonsensical declaration. I don't agree with the RCC on that subject at all. There is nothing in the Bible about annulments, no such thing. People can get divorces in Canada in a court and under the Canadian laws. The problem with the RC church is they scare people away from that. They control marriage and divorce. Not sure exactly what happens in the RC Church if someone ignores the RC church and gets a divorce in a court. Protestants do not have that kind of system of extreme control over people. They marry people. But most Protestant churches don't get involved in divorces. That is more the individual person's business. Protestant churches don't interfere with people using birth control. I don't think it is considered a sin. I am not aware of any prohibition in the Bible. Prohibitions against divorce and birth control are things invented by the RC Church. -

I know you don't. The fact is God uses the Bible to save lost souls. Who am I to say who God might save by his grace through hearing the word. You might not pay attention, but that is your choice. Millions of people have been saved by God's grace through his written word. I don't think you can speak for other people. -

Another failure of science is the two astronauts that are presently trapped in space because of technical problems with their vehicle. They went on a trip which was supposed to last eight days and return to earth, but have now been up there for many weeks with no firm date when they will be able to return. That's how you can trust the science. -

Sounds barbaric. Nothing barbaric about justice. Do you think criminals should get away with their crimes? The statement of faith for the Far Eastern Bible College says: "5. We believe that man was created in the image of God, but sinned through the fall of Adam, thereby incurring not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature and become sinners in thought, word and deed. (Gen. 1:26-27, Rom. 3:19-20, 5:12, 6:23) That means all human beings are under condemnation unless they repent and accept Christ as their Savior. -
I heard how a group of TFWs were brought in to work in some kind of mill. They paid thousands of dollars to be brought in and were promised $30 an hour. They were not paid that. They were given accommodations worse than for animals. They washed their dishes in a ditch. The place stunk like a sewer. A charity organization rescued them and put them up in a shelter in another town. How is this allowed to happen in Canada? I think the government is negligent. Some TFWs are treated like slave labour and live in inhumane conditions.

Nonsense. God recognizes the pre-born as humans from the moment of conception. Doesn't matter when those parts of Bible were originally written down. Time does not change that. "5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. " Jeremiah 1:5 KJV "5 As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all." Ecclesiastes 11:5 KJV "16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. " Psalm 139:16 KJV " 41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:" Luke 1:41 KJV -

No, it has nothing to do with logic? If you consider yourself an heathen from the jungles of Africa, then anything goes. We are a supposed to be a more civilized society. Your religion apparently doesn't teach you anything and has little or no regard for the Bible. That's your problem in a nutshell. No amount of talk is going to change that. -

Do you consider yourself a Catholic? Since you oppose and mock Bible-believing Christians, you should explain where you are coming from. Certainly not the Bible where God recognizes the pre-born as persons. You are in a dark place. Sounds like some kind of death cult. -

I would not want to be in your shoes or the shoes of ExFlyer or Aristides. You condone murder of pre-born babies and think it is nobody else's business. You claim they are not human as an excuse. That is a tragic way of thinking and abhorrent. Equally sad that you attack Christians for caring and opposing the killing of pre-born babies. Are you a Catholic of some sort? There are many who have no idea of what Biblical Christianity is all about. There is no such thing as a Christian who does not accept the Bible. The Bible teaches us that Jesus Christ is the Word, that is, the King James Bible 1611. "1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. " John 1:1-4 KJV Jesus and the Bible are inseparable. Since abortion is killing a person, it is contrary to the Bible. There is no getting around it. -
"The problems have been recognized for some time — a declining standard of living, terrible productivity, low levels of innovation, our near invisibility in global technology markets, too much government, a bloated public sector, an overly complex tax system, along with enormous budget deficits and accumulated debt. It’s a depressingly long list. Unfortunately, there are no simple solutions. Many of these problems have become structural, and have been worsening for years (but each either originated with, or has grown much worse under, the Trudeau government). It is not something a new Conservative government will be able to quickly fix, although better economic policies will undoubtedly help." "All that said, there are measures that a new government (or the existing one, although I would not hold my breath) could take that would undoubtedly help: tax reform; a renewed attempt to eliminate provincial trade barriers; a return to more traditional levels of immigration (along with the skills-based criteria that we used to emphasize); smaller, less intrusive government and a more favourable attitude toward business and foreign investment. If no action is taken and the status quo reigns, Canadians can expect their living standards to continue to fall, and we will increasingly become known as a country that was once one of the wealthiest in the world, but squandered that potential on its path to economic mediocrity." Andrew Richter: The Liberal path to economic mediocrity (msn.com) Because of the fact there are no simple solutions and the fact the mediocrity has changed every bit of society for the worse, Conservatives will not be able to make a major improvement in a four year mandate. I think it would take a major shift in the will of Canadians over a long period of time. However, since millions of Canadians have been made poorer, it is not likely they are going to be willing to abandon a lot of social programs. This is the poison that a welfare state with all the social benefits created. I don't know if Canada will ever get back to the prosperity it once had. People are brainwashed to vote for who they think promises them the most social benefits. Few want to make sacrifices to built a stronger economy. It would take a lot of sacrifices. I don't think Canadians are willing. I am not sure Conservatives can do it. Canada has dug itself into this mess by voting for Liberals under Trudeau and NDP. There is no free lunch. Somebody has to pay for every social program. The more money that is taken from the people to pay for various programs, the less investors want to invest in Canada and they take their money elsewhere. The incentive or motivation for hard work and investing in Canada is weakening. Government has been committing billions of dollars to large corporations like EV battery plants, etc. to try to build industry. But this is on the backs of tax payers which just pushes Canada further into debt. Nobody really knows if the EV industry is really going to be a success. Putting billions of dollars of taxpayer money into something that risky is gambling with the people's money. Private industry knows best how to invest money and build industry, not government. Government intervention in the economy in this way with taxpayer money is not the solution.

You can't even elaborate on why. "The Bible has much to say about obedience. In fact, obedience is an essential part of the Christian faith. Jesus Himself was “obedient unto death, even death on a cross” (Philippians 2:8). For Christians, the act of taking up our cross and following Christ (Matthew 16:24) means obedience. The Bible says that we show our love for Jesus by obeying Him in all things: “If you love Me, keep My commandments” (John 14:15). A Christian who is not obeying Christ’s commands can rightly be asked, “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?” (Luke 6:46). Obedience is defined as “dutiful or submissive compliance to the commands of one in authority.” Using this definition, we see the elements of biblical obedience. “Dutiful” means it is our obligation to obey God, just as Jesus fulfilled His duty to the Father by dying on the cross for our sin. “Submissive” indicates that we yield our wills to God’s. “Commands” speaks of the Scriptures in which God has clearly delineated His instructions. The “one in authority” is God Himself, whose authority is total and unequivocal. For the Christian, obedience means complying with everything God has commanded. It is our duty to do so. Having said that, it is important to remember that our obedience to God is not solely a matter of duty. We obey Him because we love Him (John 14:23). Also, we understand that the spirit of obedience is as important as the act of obedience. We serve the Lord in humility, singleness of heart, and love." What does the Bible say about obedience? | GotQuestions.org Yes, Self defence is acceptable. -

So, no logical reasoning. The most logical reason on earth is God. " Psalm 1 KJV 1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. {ungodly: or, wicked} 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. {wither: Heb. fade} 4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. 5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish. " So your only argument is to refer to Islam? That is not Biblical Christianity. Women are treated very well in Biblical Christianity. Islam is different. You apparently don't know anything about the Bible. Isn't that what i said. You can question things if you have a valid reason. But that is not what I was talking about. The subject is abortion. If the Bible is clear that God said "thou shalt not kill" and it is clear from the Bible that human life beings at conception, then you have no grounds to question that. You can't make the argument medical science says it is ok or some abortion activist or some politicians support it or the law supports it, so it must be ok. That is not a valid reason to question what the Bible says about the subject. -
In spite of a plea by several European nations to not attack and a warning by the U.S., Iran insists it will attack Israel. Western powers urge Iran to halt planned assault on Israel (msn.com) This could have serious consequences and lead to a wider war in the middle east. It is believed by some that this attack will occur within the next 48 hours.

No. The main reason to oppose abortion is God and his revelation. The fact you don't believe that does not change the fact it is the most important reason. Pain to the fetus is an important consideration. I don't believe those who claim there is no pain. They may be lying. That is a compassionate reason for opposing abortion, but not the main reason. The main reason I am opposed to abortion is because I believe it is contrary to God's commandment "thou shalt not kill". You don't accept the fact that this human life belongs to God. Our bodies belong to God according to Scripture. God determines when life ends, not man. We don't have the right too play God. What you are really saying is you don't respect the freedom of speech for "religious" people. You call it pushing their religious beliefs on others. It is ok for you to come on this forum and push your beliefs. If a religious person or a Bible-believer pushes his beliefs you say it is offensive or unacceptable. Freedom of speech for you but not for me. You call that "the beauty of freedom"? What a hypocritical belief! If something God says in the Holy Scripture is clearly wrong, we have no right to question it. Obedience is part of life in many circumstances and situations. When asked to do something in our jobs, we don't automatically question everything. That sounds very problematic and troublesome. It is not a reasonable attitude. Questioning some things, depending what you are talking about, is reasonable, but not everything. It depends what it is.
