  1. No. The main reason to oppose abortion is God and his revelation. The fact you don't believe that does not change the fact it is the most important reason. Pain to the fetus is an important consideration. I don't believe those who claim there is no pain. They may be lying. That is a compassionate reason for opposing abortion, but not the main reason. The main reason I am opposed to abortion is because I believe it is contrary to God's commandment "thou shalt not kill". You don't accept the fact that this human life belongs to God. Our bodies belong to God according to Scripture. God determines when life ends, not man. We don't have the right too play God. What you are really saying is you don't respect the freedom of speech for "religious" people. You call it pushing their religious beliefs on others. It is ok for you to come on this forum and push your beliefs. If a religious person or a Bible-believer pushes his beliefs you say it is offensive or unacceptable. Freedom of speech for you but not for me. You call that "the beauty of freedom"? What a hypocritical belief! If something God says in the Holy Scripture is clearly wrong, we have no right to question it. Obedience is part of life in many circumstances and situations. When asked to do something in our jobs, we don't automatically question everything. That sounds very problematic and troublesome. It is not a reasonable attitude. Questioning some things, depending what you are talking about, is reasonable, but not everything. It depends what it is.
  2. I don't believe I am pushing any kind of superiority belief system. Christianity is a belief in Jesus Christ, the Savior of mankind. He came to earth to save lost sinners and give them eternal life. It has nothing to do with superiority. You must have some kind of very anti-Christian notions. That is no surprise. There is a spiritual war going on in the world between good and evil. The forces of darkness are trying to smear Christians and Christianity. It's all part of the opposition to the God of the Bible. Bible believing Christians are not the cause of all the wars in the world down through history. There are many causes. Yes, religion is one of them. The religion of peace was spread through the middle east and north Africa by the sword over the centuries. Rome also had some crusades that may have also used force to try to spread religion, but that is not biblical at all. Jesus did not advocate using force or the sword to spread the gospel. In fact, countless people through the centuries have been persecuted and martyred for spreading Christianity. You can read Foxe's Book of Martyrs online if you wish. There have been wars over many other things as well. Kingdoms conquering others to obtain more land. Then the biggest wars in history WW1 and WW2. Millions died in Russia and China under Communist revolutions. People should be able to share their beliefs peacefully. I share the gospel as I can because Jesus said to go into the world and preach the gospel to every creature. Those that believe will be saved and those that don't will be lost. (my words). Exact words in the Bible. I don't think Christians see themselves as "superior".
  3. Sadly you don't have any real understanding of the world, religions, and what the Bible teaches. I can't teach you a course on history and religions and Christianity on a forum like this. All we can do is make short comments which really could never properly answer that kind of false claim. The Bible is a revelation from God given through the prophets and apostles. It came from the true God, which you reject. So how is it possible for you to understand this subject? I can tell you the ten commandments in Exodus and Deuteronomy include the command thou shalt have no other gods". Idolatry is condemned. The Bible tells how in the beginning in Genesis how Adam and Eve fell from a good relationship with God by eating the forbidden fruit. This rebellious fallen nature was then passed on to the whole human race. The world became a corrupt and fallen place. That is why we have many false religions. It has nothing to do with being superior to others. It is just a fact there is only one true God and all others are false gods and false religions. The fall of man is why the world is corrupt, has wars, disease, sickness, and death. That is why we have conflicts for various reasons including wars over religion, politics, land, Communism, Fascism and other ideologies. This is not the fault of God or Christianity. It is because the world is fallen and the human heart is now by nature evil and corrupt. That is about the best I can explain it in a nutshell.
  4. What kind of data are you talking about? Killing pre-born babies is wrong. You talk about "data", but don't explain what you mean. Just claiming data justifies it is nonsensical. Again you are talking in vague, obtuse language. The Bible prohibitions against murder, stealing, and other things are entirely relevant. The Bible is very relevant. I don't think you even know what the Bible is all about. Another thing you are totally wrong about. Sex outside marriage between a man and woman is condemned in the Bible. It is called fornication. Of course it is wrong. You have no idea what you are talking about. What is "socially acceptable" is not necessarily acceptable to God as revealed in the Bible. Again, all sins are forgivable if one becomes a Bible-believing Christian.
  5. Trudeau has been defending spending billions on an EV industry which should be fully funded by the companies that own it, not taxpayers. All this while the public health care system is in a shambles and ERs having been shutting down in B.C. for lack of doctors. Thousands of people who need urgent care on long waiting lists. One report said 8,000 to 15,000 people may be dying a year on waiting lists for health care. The cost of groceries has been skyrocketing for several years and the numbers of people going to food banks steadily increasing. The Canadian Armed Forces have been neglected and it is becoming a disgrace in NATO. Yet Trudeau spends billions for to subsidize EV plants as part of his obsession with a war on climate change. Man-made climate change, the biggest scam in history. Trudeau defends billions spent attracting electric vehicle industry to Canada (msn.com)
  6. I support Israel's right to defend itself and always have. But I don't favour civilians being killed. Never have. I don't know what the solution should be when Hamas hides behind civilians. You of course know it all. No sense talking to a madman. Your language speaks for itself.
  7. You're lying. I don't support killing innocent women and children and never have. I don't claim to be have the knowledge on what could or should be done in the middle east to have peace. You think you know all about it.
  8. No, this is far more than opinion. If you study the Bible, you will learn that. "The Bible is none other than the voice of Him that sitteth upon the throne. Every book of it, every chapter of it, every verse of it, every syllable of it, every letter of it, is direct utterance of the Most High. The Bible (King James Version 1611) is none other than the Word of God, not some part of it more, some part of it less, but all alike the utterance of Him that sitteth upon the throne, faultless, unerring, supreme." -- The Dean Burgon Oath. Part of a sermon by Rev. Timothy Tow, now gone to be with the Lord. quote The delivery of the Ten Commandments was made on the top of Mount Sinai, over 7,000 feet above sea level. The whole process took forty days and forty nights, amidst thunder and lightning, fire and smoke, the blowing of trumpet and the voice of Almighty God speaking to men. Then God wrote the sentences of the Ten Commandments with His own finger over the two tablets, front and back. In the climax of the forty days and nights, rebellion to God’s promulgation of the Ten Commandments arose from the ground. The people had made a golden calf to substitute for Jehovah saying this was their god, whereupon Moses’ wrath was kindled. When he was confronted by this golden calf, he became so angry that he threw the two tablets of law to the ground. Symbolically, God’s Commandments were broken. The golden calf the children of Israel had made was ground into fine powder and mixed with water for Israel to drink, which was their punishment. Can puny man rebel against God’s Word with impunity? unquote
  9. I never condoned killing of women and children by either side. I also am concerned about the killing of innocent women and children. Hamas could have avoided that to begin with but they use Gaza as a base to attack civilians in Israel and don't seem willing to ever stop.
  10. Data is not a guide for what is right and wrong. Not sure if you understood what I already said about that. You still don't understand that God is the source of what is right and wrong and he has given us his word on it on the King James Bible. Since God is absolutely sovereign over his creation, we can look for no higher guide or source of what is right or wrong. Instead of just rejecting this out of hand, you need to meditate on it and consider it. Reason and logic could help but you need to investigate it. The Bible proves itself that it was written by men inspired by God. Try goggling reasons for believing the Bible. No, I never said a Bible believer is a "superior human being". Those are your words. Neither did I say we are "more morally sound". I did say that we need to believe the Bible that pre-born babies are human beings and we cannot kill them. There is no such thing as "reproductive rights" according to the Bible. It is purely an invention of fallen, evil human minds. We are talking about ending human life in the womb. The righteousness or wrongness of that has nothing to do with "medical standards".
  11. Sure it is. Data is how we can assess where we are going wrong, and knowingly administer incremental corrections, and grow from it. No, we are talking about morality. Right and wrong is not determined by data whatever that is. First of all what do you mean by data? How would that guide one in what is right and wrong? It wouldn't and it can't because right and wrong has nothing to do with numbers or statistics. What is an opinion? That sounds like something that is pulled out of thin air. .My belief is based on the infallible foundation of God's inerrant word, in English, the King James Bible. What is your belief based on? Again, you are pulling something out of thin air. What does "rights" mean? When you say "reproductive rights", that sounds kind of innocent all right, but why don't you tell the truth? You mean "the right to kill one's baby". All morality or what is right or wrong has to have a historical base or foundation from which it comes from. It is well-established in western civilization that certain things are wrong. Examples could be stealing, murder, etc. Western civilization has a certain view of human rights too that were largely influenced by respect for other people and the Biblical principle of love thy neighbour. That relates to respect for human life above all. Those are Biblical principles that are enshrined in many laws. Did you grow up in a modern western country that had a lot of long-held Judeo-Christian beliefs or did you come from a kind of heathen country that did not? That could have affected your thinking from a young age. Roman Catholicism does not elevate the Bible as being God's infallible final authority. As a result some countries that are largely Roman Catholic have weaker morals in a lot of areas. Islamic countries also have different beliefs that often conflict with Judeo-Christian belief systems. No, I am saying if you don't believe in God, the Bible, and west's historic Judeo-Christian values of the sanctity of life, you are of course not going to understand what this is all about. I never said if one goes to church, he can do no wrong. You don't understand what Christianity, the Bible is all about. Church is not a place where one can do no wrong. Church is a place of fellowship for like-minded people who believe in Jesus Christ. It doesn't mean that people who go there are perfect and they don't consider themselves as better than anyone else. Believers in Jesus Christ believe what the Bible teaches and are trying to learn more about it and grow in their faith. Not everyone that goes is necessarily there for the right reasons. We live in an imperfect world. You defined liberalism or secular humanism. That means everyone is free to do their own thing. That is the problem with society today. They have no moral guide or they follow people or ideas that man invented that are immoral and contrary to what is right. What you don't understand is that human beings are innately corrupt, or fallen beings. Their mental abilities often lead them down the wrong path. That is why there is so much evil in the world. You can google secular humanism and find out what it is all about. But the Bible teaches the human heart is fundamentally evil and on it's own is not capable of doing the right thing. That is where you err greatly. You think man on his own is better off. History shows you are wrong.
  12. No, I'm afraid you are totally deceived by the master of deception of this world. What is right or wrong is not determined by "data" from some abortion activists somewhere or some liberal progressive. I realize you hate to admit it, but you are deeply deceived and the deception is engrained in your thinking, Right and wrong comes from God and his written revelation which you and a few others here want to deny because of your deception. If you disagree with this, maybe you can explain what is the basis of right and wrong and where does it come from in your view?
  13. Sounds like the basest kind of thinker wrote this. Just came across this: "The first requisite for the happiness of the people is the abolition of religion.” Karl Marx,German German philosopher and socialist revolutionary (1818-1883)" You meet the first part of the definition of Marxism, the abolition of religion. Maybe not Catholicism, but definitely Biblical Christianity, Fundamentalism, and Evangelicalism. Maybe you are some kind of agent for some organization.
  14. Looks like the article has too much detail about how it is possible for you to understand. You and Michael need to stick to very simple topics.
  15. No. Why should I give it up? Are you some kind of Commie plant posting from China or North Korea or some other place where there is persecution and no freedom of speech or religion? That is where they silence Bible believers. Funny you are like them.
  16. Sure! I know of a bridge I could sell you.
  17. Speaking about other religions, here is a good one for you. You need to watch this video about a native medicine man called Nathan Chasing Horse who travelled around western Canada and the U.S. using native spirituality and claiming he was a medicine man helping people. It is alleged by many victims he was abusing them sexually. Finally was arrested but only in the U.S. He got away with lots in Canada according to victims. But many are asking why Canadian authorities did nothing. That is a very good question. Maybe Canadian authorities don't want to be seen interfering with native culture or spirituality? (other religions) Some of his reported victims were 15 year old girls. So when you say other religions, some of them can be very dangerous and used to exploit people. It looks like there were many victims from this guy. But we still have many people who think these aboriginal spirituality / cultures are harmless and just fine. Some think they should be encouraged to go back to the past native spirituality. But those who think that have no idea what that might mean. The Canadian justice system even sends people to healing lodges. Who knows what goes on there. Watch the story on the Fifth Estate: Nathan Chasing Horse's alleged victims want to know why he wasn't charged in Canada | CBC.ca It looks like he never was even charged in Canada. Many victims are now suffering trauma, probably for life.
  18. I know you can't stand the Bible, Christianity and myself. I believe in it and see the world through that lens. So I am not going to just disappear to please the Devil. I know the Devil mostly rules this world. This world system is his domain, but you don't understand his days are numbered. If you read the Bible you would learn that. Christians have always been persecuted just for being Christians. But I'm not sure why you are particularly obsessed by being anti-Christian and anti-Bible. I have not even met Catholics who are as opposed to it as you are. I know the Catholic church is not a fan of evangelical Christianity. Trudeau even spoke against them when he said something to the effect they are the worst kind of Canadians. You can expect to hear some Bible verses and my view on some particular subjects more than others because they are particularly related to what is right and wrong. Politics is often directly related to the Bible teachings. That's just the way it is. Funny you mention the catechism and the Catholic church. I can see your point there. That doesn't have much to do with Biblical Christianity. It is more of rituals. You go to church, sit quietly, listen to the ritual, and supposedly believe some of the inventions that are unbiblical and then go home. That's all there is to it. It is not really Biblical or anything to do with anything controversial in the Bible. Except maybe on a few subjects where Catholics and Protestants can agree like on opposing abortion. Even some Catholics don't oppose abortion though, like Trudeau, Biden, Nancy Pelosi, and other politicians. Funny how they get away with it in their church isn't it.
  19. You hate Christianity and the Bible so much, you really should get help.
  20. That's because you and a few others on here have no moral compass or concern for what is right or wrong. When you reject God and the Bible, you have rejected your only hope. You are now in total darkness. The Devil has a strong grip on you. Unless you get down on your knees and beg God for forgiveness and pay attention to his word, I don't think there is anything anybody can say.
  21. There is a lot more to it than that but guess you are incapable of reading.
  22. Quite simple for me. You don't seem to get that is what I said first, not you. Copycat.
  23. And that matters how??? They also provide the services Canadians want. Regardless of what party is in power. You vote for the party that's going to give oyu the most LOL Wow! Have you ever heard government employees don't produce wealth or any product. They only provide a service. Wealth and prosperity is produced by private industry. That is what creates wealth for a country. The more government employees you have, the more taxes you pay and the less money the people have to pay for the cost of living. Quite simple isn't it.
  24. "14 Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, 15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. " Mark 1:14, 15 KJV
  25. Nobody has the authority to say human life starts at 24 weeks and that abortion is ok up to that point. That is just an arbitrary point someone pulled out of a hat. This picture shows the pre-born at different points of time. They are human at every point from the moment of conception. The idea that they are not human or less than human is absurd and originates from a depraved mind.
