  1. Seniors aren't the only people who need pharmaceuticals. Many Canadians cannot afford the drugs they need partly because we pay more than any where else in the world for them. Acquiring the required drugs in the quantities needed for a socialized system drives the price down considerably.
  2. And the latest reports on this subject show the temperature at the north pole is 50 degrees F above normal currently, and has been averaging between 20-30 degrees above normal for the last 4 of 5 years and of course great swaths of sea ice are gone so the warming will likely intensify without the reflectivity of that ice.
  3. And as Trump claims he would be so brave as to enter that Florida school even if he had no weapon, he demonstrates his true character by hogging the umbrella from his son and wife. http://www.newsweek.com/trump-protects-his-hair-giant-umbrella-leaving-melania-and-barron-bad-weather-782689
  4. Trump would be curled up under his bed pooping his pants wringing his little hands together if there was gunfire anywhere near him. Secret Service would take care of it.
  5. So Scheer is as jaded as Trump. Justin will laugh all the way to a second term.
  6. He had the secret service ensure there were no shooters lurking first.
  7. Trump now says he would have gone into the school in Florida even if he didn't have a weapon to confront the shooter. Isn't this the same guy who managed to wiggle his way out of military service because of a story about...."bone spurs"? He would have been given a gun to go into Viet Nam.
  8. So stupid movies, and a stupid amendment are more important than school kids getting blown away. Check!
  9. Is that why the NRA scraped the "well regulated militia" language off the facade of the building when they built a new office? They don't want anything to do with that well regulated crap. Any guesses as to which school is next?
  10. The most obvious ulterior motive currently on this issue is Trump's trying to say the FBI missed Cruz because they were investigating Russian hacking on his election.
  11. In this particular case though the FBI were warned at least once, (possibly twice) about the Cruz' comments and it seems it slipped through the cracks and the FBI have admitted that. Of course one wonders how many such inputs they regularly get, and how much manpower would it take to follow up on them all. An internal investigation is ongoing so we shall see what it reveals.
  12. Actually who it needs to be taken up with is the US congress. Those are the people who can enact laws to keep guns out of the hands of school shooter wacko's, and put restrictions on the types of guns designed solely for such activity.
  13. Very well. Seems you never have to wait long. Yep, never long. Yet another contradiction. This one on paper. https://www.ctvnews.ca/canada/trump-signs-report-rejecting-own-views-on-trade-canada-1.3819431 WASHINGTON -- Donald Trump's views on trade have been clobbered in a report released by the White House -- and signed by none other than the president of the United States himself.
  14. I had never heard of Camp Century but I find it's a very interesting installation the US built in Greenland during the cold was as a place to house ballistic missiles. Now it turns out global warming is threatening to uncover some nasty stuff the US and Norway hoped would be buried in the ice forever. https://www.smithsonianmag.com/science-nature/radioactive-cold-war-military-base-will-soon-emerge-greenlands-melting-ice-180960036/ Climate change could uncover the toxic and radioactive waste left behind at Camp Century as early as 2090, reports a new study published yesterday in the journal Geophysical Research Letters. The 115 feet of snow and ice now covering the Cold War-era base is already melting faster than it can be replaced, a prospect the military likely hadn’t dreamed of at the time. The study’s authors warn that the soon-to-be-uncovered waste could become a political minefield and foreshadow future international conflicts as climate change reshapes Earth.
  15. You must not be familiar with guns if you don't understand the difference between a pop gun and an AR 15. The latter is designed as a killing machine while the former is typically for protection. Your chances of running away and being safe from someone gone nuts with a pistol are far higher that with an assault rifle. But the point, once again, is that anybody who wants to buy whatever kind of gun should have to be screened for such things as Oh, say broadcasting on facebook "I wanna become a school shooter".
  16. So you would be happy if the Cruz's of the world would continue to be allowed to buy assault rifles.
  17. Well then just ignore the gun issue and keep shooting each other. Schools, churches, on the street, wherever you prefer.
  18. Pay attention l'il buddy, I'll explain it to you once more: nobody needs an assault rifle down on their street. If you want to own a hunting rifle or a handgun if you feel paranoid, then go get one, after you pass a background check.
  19. I get it, but I don't get you. you seem to want to bury your head in the sand and let guns prevail. Any bets ehen the next shool shooting will occur?
  20. The most of the school shootings in the US were done with AR 15's. Do you have a point?
  21. Not in your lifetime. A 44 could do damage across a hallway. AR 15 across a play field. Check muzzle velocity for starters. And then there is tumble. You've never been in a war zone obviously.
