  1. Don't know what you call close, but it took the Vegas shooter using a bump stock about 3 seconds less to fire 100 rounds than you can with a fully automatic.
  2. There are 50 seats in the house that are deemed to be competitive. The dems. need 24 to take control. Again, I suspect it will depend a lot on how Trump behaves himself and whether he can pull his abysmal ratings back out of the pits.
  3. i'm certainly no fan of Pence, but is that a good enough reason for Trump to be forgiven? If I was an American I'd be happy if to see at least one of Trump's campaign promises coming to fruition with regard to getting that swamp cleaned up.
  4. The democrats have a good chance to take back the senate while the house is a little more doubtful, but still do able. And in any case there is the concept that, given the current Trump approval ratings, and assuming they don't get any better, the Repubs. may think it's time to throw him under the bus as 2020 approaches.
  5. Not really a very good comparison. A bump stock in trained hands can fire almost the same number of rounds as a full automatic in the same time frame. The fact that the trigger gets pulled at each round really doesn't matter does it. Especially if you're on the receiving end such as in Vegas.
  6. With the bump stock in place on the weapon of someone who knows how to use it, you have pretty much an automatic weapon in terms of number of rounds that can be fired in a given time. And yes, when you remove the bump stock the weapon reverts to semi.
  7. You'll have to ask them I guess.
  8. As you've reiterated, they haven't been convicted in senate at all. But obstruction and emoluments are not nothing burgers are they.
  9. Oh, I see. Sounds sort of contradictory to me.
  10. Hey, a spider with some legs snapped. Now I am sold on the whole idea.
  11. Yeah but they have never had to deal with the kind of report Mueller is likely to provide.
  12. Then why bring broomsticks into the mix?
  13. Trump may not be so lucky in the senate after the mid terms.
  14. You had to look it up did ya. I could have explained it to you.
  15. Thanks but I'll take my chances. I reckon if there is a God in heaven, when I get there God will say "c'mon in and thanks for not buying all that self serving nonsense that was made up on earth about me and this place"
  16. Perjury and obstruction actually. Did I hear a loud echo in the last year?
  17. Are you trying to say it's hard to recognize xenophobia? The trick often is to examine the evidence provided to try and shore up the argument, and separating the wheat from the chaff therein. BTW, does that stick hurt?
  18. So when people (often on the left) speak out about xenophobia, they are simply flogging what you call "moral purity" and should be ignored in favor of far right attitudes about people who don't look like them? Gotcha.
  19. Well I was only replying to the post. There aren't a lot of shining examples to choose from. But the house did impeach.
  20. Agreed. At least one comment was clear enough.
  21. Good for you.
  22. And you (try) to make it sound like Europeans didn't steal their children to ram our religion down their throat, and bugger them for good measure.
  23. Well acyually, as you used to constantly point out, Clinton was impeached, so I guess they dis care. Now lets hope Trump is handled equally.
  24. Ah, yes they do. Automatic weapons are not legal in the US other than for military. However you can buy an AR 15, and the bump stock kit in gun stores in many states. They can't install it, bu they can show you how to if you're not sure. Then all you need is to book a room in Vegas.
  25. With all that and 25 cents you can make a phone call.
