  1. I believe you have already demonstrated you already have that head start.
  2. It almost seems that Canada matters more to you than your own country. But anyway I'm sorry if we are having a laugh at your expense, but it's darn hard to ignore the gobbledygook that comes out of Trumps mouth day to day. It'll be a"great show" I guess if you like the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
  3. Ha ha, I don't have to wonder why, it's blatantly apparent. You have a buffoon heading for your White House. And one who most of your people didn't vote for so it is fun to watch. But I doubt it will be for decades. I'm betting Trump won't make the end of his first term.
  4. We don't hate him, we just laugh at him. But you poor guys have to live under him.
  5. And you apparently haven't figured out that campaigns are nothing to do with reality. Taking the oath of office is.
  6. You seem to be missing the point, other presidents including Obama weren't breaking the rules when they entered office, unless of course you were hoodwinked by Trump's birther BS. But hey, he's your president, so you have to deal with it. We just enjoy watching the gong show up here.
  7. Those people aren't entering the oval office. Trump is and already im contravention of the constitution. I think we all know who is striking out.
  8. Also the same people didn't know he would enter office with such a conflict of interest cloud hanging over his head.
  9. Anyone dumb enough to blab such info om facebook deserves what they get I guess.
  10. Except I didn't say that. His failure to truly divest of his foreign business interests puts him at odds with the constitution. Your little signs on hotels idea has no impact.
  11. Yes the clause has yet to be tested in court and is unlikely to be any time soon, so the only way it could likely bite him would be through impeachment, which as you point out is unlikely with his clout in congress. However if he continues to bring ever more division and shame to his party, they will have an ace up their sleeve they can always pay to stop him.
  12. Oops, yes I did leave out that word. I got distracted by a phone call. Thanks for correcting. And yes I heard of him agreeing to give up those "ill gotten gains", but as I understand it that doesn't clear him of the violation which occurs simply from him having the potential for the foreign profit. He will have a bit of a tougher task tryimg to change the constitution to suit his needs than simply getting rid of the ACA
  13. It would make sense if you knew what the emoluments portion speaks of. Basically if some official in Chima checked into a Trump hotel Trump corp. is making money illegally.
  14. Due to his foreign business ownerships he will be in of the US Constitution the moment he is signed in.
  15. Leitch is probably as close to Trumpishness as you can get, you're right. But luckily I think even the conservative party is smart enough to discard her, and her "Canadian Values" BS. Otherwise JT probably wouldn't even have to come home from the Bahamas to win next time around.
  16. You really think so? I live in BC and I'll be damned if I can find a French speaker anywhere around here. Maybe you just have a little argus style paranoia goin' on.
  17. He may work well for the CPC simply because he isn't afraid of the spotlight unlike Harper was. The downside could be that he likes it too much and becomes a Canadian version of Trump.
  18. No he didn't but he did say NON to Bush on Iraq. That's why Chretien can travel wherever he wants in the world without worrying about being picked up by the ICC, and Bush can't.
  19. Yeah see we don't fight too much over going to illegal wars (Iraq) We just say no. Or to put it in French such as Chretien said to Bush....non.
  20. You're right about one thing, it is not Canada. We didn't have a civil war, didn't need one, and we don't have that ongoing nagging divide. For instance we don't fight over which flag should fly. We solved that a long time ago. Are you a fan of the Confederate I guess?
  21. I don't think you emerged stronger becaused you are still so divided. But I suspect Trump will likely be removed before he can actually destroy America. Best of luck.
  22. Oh yes, I'm sure there will be lots to talk about and well before he gets to the end of his first term, assuming he makes it that far. You've heard of "emoluments" I assume?
  23. Um, that's kind of what not having arrived at the WH yet means. But check history, you'll find there is usually a sort of "honeymoon" after a president is elected. Not this time.
  24. He promised to bring jobs back to the US. (even though his products are made in either China or Mexico) so right off the bat that should tell you something unless you're totally naive. We shall see if/how they get duped.
