Funny how it seems your concerns are so narrowly focused on American TV content and how many Canadians do or don't watch it. Meanwhile Trump continues embarrass the whole country and that seems to go unnoticed. Ever heard of this guy Nero, who fiddled while his city burned?

I certainly don't watch, but I did watch a more reputable source from south of the border today. After I watched the speech. The process is antiquated and unfair, but mostly because this time it produced such a sad outcome. Are you really comfortable with a guy like Trump having access to "the codes"?

He has certainly pissed off a lot of women across the country and around the world if you followed today's protest marches. Something like 300 in the US alone.

When the popular vote is divided by 5 instead of 2, you will likely come out with different applicable percentages. It's just math. Second day in, Trump's already delivered 2 embarrassing speeches. He's off to a...predictable start.

He has so many amends to make with the intelligence community, frothing at the mouth over the press while addressing the CIA is just stunningly inappropriate.

Trump certainly blew it in his CIA address. Taking the opportunity to lie about the turnout at his inauguration, and to once again attack the media while standing in front of the 117 unanimous stars on the wall, was about as low class as it gets. But I doubt anyone expected anything better.

Pretty hard to enjoy a show that culminates with such a pathetic speech. I thought Trump might actually say something honorable and intelligent at least for his inauguration day. He mentioned patriotism, and then delivered jingoism. I guess that's how you roll now. Oh well, back to hockey.

Very simple, you add up the votes and you declare a winner. The latte sippers and the fisherman get an equal crack. 200 years ago the people may have needed protection from their ignorance of things political, but not nowadays.

I just find it rather ironic that one of the main reasons for the EC was to stop a totally unqualified person from achieving the highest office in the land, and now they have installed Trump. Might be time to rethink the whole plan.
