This headline is very misleading. It says they are marching against ISIS. They are not. It's an annual pilgrimmage and they risk Sunni retaliation every year.

Why post crimes that are not religiously motivated? What is your point? We all acknowledge that bad people sometimes do bad things. But the things you are posting are NOT religously motivated. You're not comparing anything.

Perfectly acceptable: lying in this situation does not have the same stigma as it does in Western Civilization.
There was a Muslim family we had as patients (husband, wife, 5 children). The husband would call in to make appointments, but would lie to me all the time about who the appointments were for. He would book for himself regularly, then show up with the entire family.
I explained to him that this was not acceptable, as it meant that others who had booked appointments had to wait longer. I explained that it was no problem booking appointments for the entire fmaily, I just needed to know how many so we could schedule accordingly.
He laughed in my face and refused to discuss it. After they went into the exam room, another Muslim lady in the waiting room explained to me about taqiya. She told me that to Muslims, Westerners are not ever entitled to the truth. They are free to lie about anything to Westerners. I asked her why he would feel it was necessary to lie to me in this situation and she just smiled and said, "He does it because you are a woman and because he can."

I managed a private doctor's office for 2 years and this is what I saw in healthcare:
Because the perception is that healthcare is "free" in Canada, many patients abuse it. They run to the doc for every little thing and demand to have procedures and tests done that the doctor didn't feel was necessary. Just one example: I had a patient call in and demand to see the doctor immediately because she woke up from a nap and felt like she was getting a cold....(Sorry, folks, still no cure for the common cold) She then demanded to have a chest x-ray done at the hospital although there was no indication it was necessary. When a patient demands unncessary tests/procedures, a doctor's hands can be tied if he doesn't comply.
My idea was to allow a certain number of doctor visits a year and then charge a sort of "user fee" for adiitional visits - unless you have a condition that requires more attention (cancer or such).
I believe that patient abuse is partially responsible for the excessively long wait times for procedures and tests.

When I see posts threatening to unleash the full fury of the Turkish navy in every thread, demanding Canadians get out of Canada, disrespect and vitriol for anyone who disagrees with them....then I'm saying that is trolling, obviously trying to provoke reactions.
After a few encounters, I'm with Argus. There is no reasonable discussion possible with that one.

I am awaiting my DNA results. I'm excited to see them. I don't look like anyone in my family except my paternal grandmother, and we both look like her mother, so I'm expecting to see Romanian/Czech results. My family is all very tall and blond. I'm shorter and darker. No one else in my family has curly hair, except my children got the curly gene from me. My maternal grandfather used to tease me that I was living proof that "there is a ni**er in every family's woodpile"......

I've been on a few forums and MLW has sort of a "pet peeve" about getting off-topic, handled quite militantly.
Other forums I've been on allow the one who started the thread to direct it, bring it back on topic if they choose to.
I kind of like the free-flowing conversational nature of threads, it's more like real-life - no conversations between groups of people stay strictly on topic and a bit of humour can sometimes lighten the mood of a serious thread. We used to call it "fluff".....and yes, sometimes there would be several pages of "fluff" to wade through before a thread got back on topic, but the "fluff" was still fun and interesting and served a purpose.
But I do think there is one person here who is deliberately abrasive and insulting on every thread. I consider that trolling, more so than getting a bit off- topic.

You are a very beautiful woman Altaï. But when you speak with hatred, you become ungly. Lucky for you, it's something you can change. it only dépends on you. When you present us your videos about your culture, you share with us something beautiful that makes humans great. When you adopt the political positions based on hatred of other cultures, you are doing the opposite.
This is a truism I have learned in life too. I have known people who would not be judged "beautiful" by most standards, but when you get to know their souls - they are kind, compassionate, forgiving, non-judgmental - they become very beautiful in my eyes.
I've also known some very good-looking people who, when they open their mouths and spout hatred and vitriol, are unkind and uncompassionate, threaten and debase others.....well, you're correct - they look very ugly indeed.
