  1. The opposition to Zionism is not just from it's neighbors but also comes from with'in Israel itself, from the very Jews who lived their their prior to the occupation of Zionist. The Jews who are in fact true decedents of the land and not those who claim to be Jewish by the choices of their culture heritage. To that end, I prey for all those who stand against such a tyranny, Jews, Christians and Muslims and everyone else that lives there who'd rather not be labelled in any of the described religions.
  2. Oh, I must look this person up and educate myself on who he is. But are you saying that he funded the rise of Israel in Palestine, or was it that he provided the political means to do so? In all conflicts, to those who ask the how any why, if you want to know the root of the problem just follow the money. Who paid and subsidized the creation of today's Israel from the time of it's inception in modern (20th century) Palestine?
  3. Founded by who?
  4. I'm not proud of it, that I came to be born here in Canada, being a 7th generation Canadian, knowing what the Empires and the christian church did to the native peoples here. I wish I had been born in the land of my ancestors (which can be determined directly from the records of my family tree). But you are delving into the distant past to justify the actions of people today. By your logic I should have the right to move to any one of the countries of my families origin. The settlers that are currently occupying the West Bank believe they have the right to do so because of words in a book written more than thousand or years ago and have no direct family history to the land.
  5. Ya, well unfortunately we are one of America's 'bitches' and a part of NATO. That said, our contribution to any of these bombing campaigns (Yugoslavia aside) is negligible compared to the US and can't hold a candle to what Israel dropped on Gaza in 2014 (to get back to the subject). Better yet we aren't trying to move our people to these areas. I don't see Canadian settlers (colonist) moving to any of these locations, building walls (sorry, correction, security fences), check points etc...
  6. Not sure what locals Canadians are bombing across the sea..? Israel's should just stay in their own neighborhoods and stop settling in the West Bank. Better yet, maybe they should have just stayed where they were.
  7. Hey, come on, it's my first posted subject... I'd like to know what other people think about this.... Better?
  8. It begs the question, why does Israel always have to defend itself? Defend itself from what, who and why?
  9. To stay on subject... For those who have forgotten or do not know about some of the horrible things Israel did in Gaza I'm going to give a few examples with the links below. These are just three examples, there are more, many more. 10. My Mother started posting articles from this web site to me before the last federal election, in her attempt to convince me to vote for Harper and the PC party. I did not find this site and the articles I found there, objective by any stretch of the imagination. With that in mind look for yourself and tell us what you think; should this organization and its members be given journalist credentials? http://www.therebel.media/ http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmonton/rachel-notley-s-ndp-bans-the-rebel-from-alberta-government-news-conferences-1.3450577
  11. "However, that's changing and it is only a matter of time where the excuses will have to stop. Similar to Apartheid South Africa and how it was the international community that pushed the Western government to oppose Apartheid South Africa." I'd like to believe that but none of our politicians will stand up for it. It was made pretty clear during the 2014 bombing campaign, when all three party leaders supported Israel's right to defend itself. Worse still, you hardly hear a whisper from the north american press regarding the continued expansion of the settlements in the West Bank and what that actually means for the people who have the legal right to the land. Not to say that it is never covered, it is in fact to a certain degree, but, it seems, most people don't care and do not under stand what is really going on. Words like 'security fence' and 'check point' don't sound so bad on the surface. Perhaps some of the folks who may read this and have a, 'ya, ya, whatever' kind of attitude, could take the time to watch the presentation I have left the link for below. It was made by a Jewish American girl and her experience in the West Bank. youtube.com/watch?v=Ch5XlEZoi1c
  12. Ya, your right... Needed a much bigger bomb, or lots of little ones, with directional shape charges placed on each of the structural columns.
  13. Ya, that bomb had no chance of doing any really damage, meaning the damage required to bring down that building. The columns remained. There was too many ways the energy could get released. The structural components did not fail, only the slabs immediately above and below failed. To use that kind of bomb, it would have to be much, much bigger. The structural columns (and beams) needed to be cut, to do that the energy required by a single bomb is astronomical.
  14. That bomb had no chance of doing any real structural damage... tell me that you understand that much about chemistry....
  15. To hell with all the conspiracy nuts, let's just focus on one point. If building 7 fell as it did from fire, then there should have been an investigation into the the engineering and construction of the building, as would have been done on any other day. Someone should have been nailed to the cross (sort of speak) for that kind of failure. Either the design was wrong or the contractor who built it cheated somehow. Everyone who cares, should focus on that, and that alone. Demand to see the reviewed permit structural and architectural drawing for that building; make them public. Did they not build it according to design, or, was the design so bad that a fire could take it down. Even if you believe that 0.01% of the conspiracies are correct and there are very powerful people out there than can do this kind of thing, don't you think that they would have also planted there own conspiracy opposition just to 'muddy' the waters?
  16. You asked who they have assassinated excluding terrorists and since everyone assassinated was deemed to be a terrorist by them, your question can not be answered. Perhaps if you could define what a terrorist is in your opinion I might be able to answer your question.
  17. Americans(Europeans) have been meddling in the foreign affairs of so many countries it's hard to know where it began and where is stopped. The difference today, between Saudi and Iran is that Iran does not want to trade in American dollars. (as for Saudi nationals flying plains into the World Trade Centers, that's another story; I still have a hard time believing that 2 planes dropped 3 buildings - and yes I have built tall buildings)
  18. Canadian media doesn't seem to notice, at least not on the surface of the news reports. (in the last few years I have all but given up on Canadian press to do any real reporting on international affairs, but, I still hope) I think Trudeau is so far out of his league he doesn't know what to do and is listening to his military advisers. The fact that we are ending our roll in the air campaign in Syria is good step; not sure what to make of the special forces going into Northern Iraq to 'train/advise' the Kurd's. "greater insight?" well I honestly don't know what to make of the whole situation accept to say that it seems that we are at the end of the beginning, and at the beginning of the middle game (I played a lot of chess in my early years with an old Bulgarian man and I think that is how he would have described it). With Turkey using the same G.W. Bush rhetoric 'if your not with us your against us' (referring to the Kurd's and the US position), and the the UAE and Saudi suggesting they are ready to commit ground troops..... It's a bit of a cluster F... I guess I suspect that NATO (US) want to draw Iran and Russia into a much larger protracted ground war. True to the US M.O. they will get everyone else to get the fight going full steam first, and wait until things look dire for their friends (selling them all weapons in the mean time- lots of credit too) and after their is enough destruction some crazy Jihadist will attack America, and then Americans will go to war whole sale without an executive order; or something like that. “Listen carefully, Feyd,” the Baron said. “Observe the plans within plans within plans.” Frank Herbert's Dune[/size]
  19. Things are not looking good. It appears that Turkey is slowly stepping up it's operations. RT is all over it and the American media is playing dumb. I can't imagine that the American's (and their coalition) don't have a plan. I can't imagine that any of the current events there were not foreseen by either side. How far it goes? Perhaps the whole situation is a distraction for other plans. “Listen carefully, Feyd,” the Baron said. “Observe the plans within plans within plans.” Frank Herbert's Dune
  20. No. I'm not taking the bait. All the enemies of Israel are terrorist it seems, there for your question has no acceptable answer.
  21. Russia doesn't have the right to invade a sovereign country and take a chunk of it for themselves by force. To my understanding Russia didn't fire a shot when they assumed the administration of Crimea and also my understanding that the people of Crimea are ethnic Russian's and are currently quite happy. The sanctions placed on Russia serve only the US and by proxy are helping to create a stronger economic Russia, 'what doesn't kill you makes you stronger' sort of speak. If I was Russia I would have done the exact same thing given not only that Russia has a large naval base in Crimea, but they are slowly being encircled by NATO expansion.
  22. The answer to this question is, unfortunately, far too provocative to actually answer adequately for anyone. It starts with the question what is the definition of a terrorist? For example are the Kurd's of Syria and Iraq terrorists as Turkey's president Erdogan believes, or is the United Sate's use of hell-fire missiles launched from drones at unsuspecting targets in Afghanistan, Yemen, Iraq, etc. considered an act of terrorism? In the case of an occupying army (the US occupation of Iraq for example) at point does the occupies and/or the occupier become a terrorist? The targeting of civilians exclusively is certainly a terrorist act, this I believe everyone can agree upon, but, in targeting your enemy at what point is collateral damage unacceptable? The definition of who is a terrorist depends completely on which side one is on and in an environment of 'an eye for an eye', so to answer your question one has to take sides and I don't want to do that since I feel both sides have failed in this.
  23. I made a friend last summer who said he was from Jordan. In fact he was from Ramallah. He was the first person I had ever met from the West Bank and he was a little younger than me and he taught me that he word Semite actually refers to wide variety of people of that area and that he himself was a Semite . A few years before that, I made a new friend and she happen to be Jewish. We became friends while building a Jewish school. The people at the school, that met were, great people and a pleasure to work with and the job was successful. A few years before that I had a crew of Arabs and central Asians on my site for over a year and it was a great experience, I even got invited to the after Ramadan feast (where I enjoyed a hot curried goat among other items). Yes I believe that the current government of Israel has a lot to be desired, but, by no measure do I have any issue with ones religion in spite of the fact that I do not subscribe to any of them. In fact, one of the things I like about Judaism is that they don't tell me I should believe in.
  24. Thank you for your comments. I seek to learn and do not pass judgement. I have been seeking people to discuss this with for quite some time, people who are informed, fair, respectful and hope to grow and change some of the notions and persecutions I have learned over the years. I feel that there is a need to change the popular narrative since it seems so over whelming when you really do the math (with regards to Gaza and the West Bank). That being said, let me tell everyone something about myself. I am 45 years old and a 7th generation Canadian of Northern European decent. I am of no religious believe, save a deep respect for mother earth and everything on it. For what it's worth, I did not mean to offend anyone and I will choose more carefully my words; my goal is to learn not offend.
  25. Well Arab rulers are by no means perfect, but, it seems that when there is one that is collectively supported by the people, the Israeli's assassinate him and anyone who happens to be around him (i.e. family friends or just unsuspecting people in the street; but of course those people would simply be human shields who died because of the guy that was targeted) And yes I know full well that Semites are not all Jewish (that was why I said it), but tell that to Bibi. Oh speaking of that little snake, I guess we should be great-full that he is in office given that he is considered a moderate by Israeli terms and there could much worse leadership (for the Palestinians) in Israel. Peace for the people born to the land there but unfortunately the many terrorist invaders who insist that the land belongs to them makes that impossible. If I was born their, say in Gaza, I'm quite sure that attacking the IDF would have become a sport. Church and state and are bad combination and it doesn't matter if you are a Christian, Jew or Muslim.
