As you said, Quebec is not subject to the Charter as Quebec did not sign the Canada act. Quebec is a declared unilingul french speaking province only. They have used the not withstanding clause a few times to avoid having to abide by some Canadian law that they not agree with. Christianity is and always has been a part of our Canadian culture. Other religions were not. They are all foreign religions and all have no right to demand that their religious symbols be recognized one bit.
