  1. I guess the government saying it is a strategic location and needed for the arctic sovereignty was just more bull shit from them.
  2. Out of the way from where? Toronto?
  3. Why would they be stationed anywhere?
  4. The commitment has been made several times since 2006 for your information. As well Goose Bay is considered a very strategic location for the military, specifically with regards to artic sovereignty.
  5. The only reason he's in cabinet is because Harper owes his whole government to him. Harper supposedly cannot stand MacKay but he wouldn't be Prime Minister without him so he's paying him back.
  6. In a odd move Premier Kathy Dunderdale laid into Peter MacKay today for broken promises he's made to Newfoundland and Labrador and how difficult he is to deal with. She says the province has had success with Ministers Joe Oliver and John Duncan and basically said that McKay seems to be the problem rather than the Harper government. It's not that common for a premier to criticize a federal minister, and it's particularly an odd move by Dunderdale who has tried to build a better relationship with the federal government. While a Newfoundland and Labrador premier may not have a lot of influence on the national scene, the problems with MacKay continue to build. With all the screw ups from MacKay is it finally time for him to call it a day and leave politics? http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/newfoundland-labrador/story/2012/05/17/nl-dunderdale-mackay-517.html
  7. If the federal government is giving money to the provinces in the form of equalization why shouldn't they attach strings to it so we can see if they are actually spending it in a way that will help their economy?
  8. Yeah that worldwide recession and demands by union for more more more had nothing to do with it. It's all Ralph Klein's fault, maybe the NDP will campaign on holding a referendum to kick Alberta, Saskatchewan and Newfoundland and Labrador out of Canada seeing our economies are ruining life for Ontarians and Quebeckers.
  9. For the most part the Liberals have been poling higher then the NDP did between 2008 and 2011 and they ended up coming within a few points of government last May. A Liberal majority may be a bit out of reach though seeing the party stands for nothing.
  10. He said the oil sands was responsible for the high dollar and killed the manufacturing sector. Like Harper he's into divisive politics.
  11. I understand, most socialist like yourself don't like being proven wrong.
  12. Why and what would I be jealous of exactly?
  13. No, why don't you explain it for everyone?
  14. Seeing the NDP have usually been the main alternative to Conservative parties in western Canada I doubt many Liberals are surprised, especially seeing they've chosen to ignor the region for decades.
  15. Will be interesting to see how Mulcair's attack on the oil sands, and Canada's natural resources sector, will effect the NDPs numbers in western candada.
  16. What's the difference in that and what Mulcair did? It was also a question.
  17. Same thing it has to do with Conrad Black entering Canada.
  18. Is Mulcair a racist seeing he said Obama was a lying about having photos of Bin Laden?
  19. Hopefully he'll continue to screw up and the economy will get worse so the NDP can form government huh? While he might not be doing a great job governing a majority government would be much more stable. One of the reason given for downgrading the province's credit rating was the minority government.
  20. So it's rumored some more PCs and some New Democrates might step down now too.
  21. So accusing someone of being racist is okay in your books?
