  1. There are about 20 countries in NATO and they're still antagonistic towards Russia. They're constantly bringing in new member states, inching closer and closer to Ukraine. There's been constant talk about Ukraine joining. The eastern border of Ukraine is just a few hrs drive from Moscow. They don't want NATO there. Putin knows that his best chance to grab Ukraine is while Biden is in power. No blame, but it is what it is. All of you leftists supported/ignored the hate mongering here, you supported the media's lies about the protesters and supported/ignored the government's totalitarian stance against peaceful protests. You supported/ignored the violence against peaceful protesters. You supported the bank account seizures. It's weird for someone who is so pro-fascism to suddenly pretend to care so much once actual violence breaks out. It's like you support everything leading up to violence, and a bit of violence, but you have a harsh reaction to next-level violence. That's like replacing the bucket below your sink every month because the supply lines are dripping, then every week, then every day, then twice a day, then acting butt-hurt when they finally give out for good. Your fervently support the lead-up to violence dude. Then you get pissy when it happens.
  2. This math is from the real world, where the rubber meets the road. It's like a clinical trial with 38M people in it: 1) The vaccines will get us to herd immunity 2) the vaccines are safe 3) vaxed people don't get sick from covid 4) vaxed people don't get as sick from covid 5) vaxed people don't spread covid 6) vaxed people get sick enough to spread a bit of covid but they don't die from covid 7) some dbl-vaxed people die from covid but there's a booster coming which will keep them safe ? almost 1,000 dbl-vaxed-&-boosted people have died in ten weeks in Canada alone, while only 8- 45% of Canadians were in that group, but the majority of deaths are in people over 80 and that's not the case with the unvaxed as usual. What happened in the placebo group? Was it eerily similar?
  3. No one is advocating for murder, but I do recall a lot of you guys being in favour of hate speech, slander and police brutality. Not in a fascist way though, right?
  4. Tied your record for the 28,000th time, hey?
  5. What Putin actually did was illustrate why Germany actually should be up at 2%, just like Trump said. Leftists: "? ? ? Why does Trump always have to be right!!!!! Can't he just be wrong for once"? Ironically, if you called his vaccines a disinformation campaign you'd finally be right for once, but you guys are the ones pimping them ?
  6. My family goes back a long way in central Alberta and it's unusual for people there to not have any Ukrainian ancestors. I personally don't, but I have nieces and nephews and cousins who reek of garlic 24/7 ? I don't see the point of coming to Canada though if they're trying to escape totalitarianism. Maybe Iran would be better? Or NoKo? Dang, is the whole "Freedom & Democracy" experiment over after just a few hundred years?
  7. Do you honestly think that I'm the one who coined the phrase "Trust the science"? Does fausti have to pay me a royalty every time he says that on national TV? You're coming unglued now, and you still haven't told me which of the following were true, so I'll update the 'moveable goalpost' list for you to keep it current: 1) The vaccines will get us to herd immunity 2) the vaccines are safe 3) vaxed people don't get sick from covid 4) vaxed people don't get as sick from covid 5) vaxed people don't spread covid 6) vaxed people get sick enough to spread a bit of covid but they don't die from covid 7) some dbl-vaxed people die from covid but there's a booster coming which will keep them safe ? some dbl-vaxed & boosted people die, ok hundreds per week in Canada alone, but the majority of deaths are in people over 80, and that's not the case with the unvaxed I've updated your "Good little vax-Nazi elevator speech" for you, because I'm too nice: "Some dbl-vaxed & boosted people die, ok hundreds per week in Canada alone, but the majority of deaths are in people over 80, just like in the unvaxed. And remember peons - taking the vaccine is just a choice because no one needs to participate in society. FYI, if they set the bar any lower, saline will qualify as a vaccine soon.
  8. I feel like I'm talking to a total idiot when I keep hearing about how: 1) vaxed people don't get sick from covid 2) the vaccines are safe enough 3) The majority of vaxed deaths are in people over 80 but that's not the case with the unvaxed 4) vaxed people don't spread covid 5) vaxed people don't die from covid 6) Taking the vaccine is just a choice, no one needs to participate in society How many times are they gonna move the goalposts before you stop waving their pompoms like a good little vax-Nazi?
  9. The vaxed get covid, the vaxed spread covid, the vaxed die from covid. If the vax was a vaccine and if it was safe, people would take it.
  10. If they think that they're right, why do they have to engage in disinformation? There are barely any people vaccinated yet in that group, and none of them have been vaccinated very long, so this not based on a large sample size. There are also a lot of people who have been triple vaxed who were never at risk of dying anyways. I wouldn't call this part 'disinformation', but it's an example of people who have access to all of the stats giving us a limited amount of information. This part is disinformation: This is effectively lying, because he's insinuating that this is a product of vaccination, but it has actually been the case every single month in Canada and the US since the very beginning of covid. It's like saying "This dog breed has a fourth leg. Leftists: "Oh wow, I'll pay an extra $1,000 for a dog with a 4th leg!" It's actually quite a sinister comment though, because it also implies that "people under 80" need the protection of the vax, and that's not accurate at all. People above 70 with co-morbidities should get it, and people under 70 with very serious health issues should get it, but in any event, it is absolutely never a guarantee of survival, except in the group of people who are guaranteed to survive anyways.
  11. Long story short, 100 triple-vaxed people died every week in Canada between mid-Dec and the end of Feb. Is that vax-like or placebo-like? The number of triple vaxed was similar to the number of unvaxed people, and only 15% more unvaxed people died during that ten week period. Do you feel like the government should be declaring sovereignty over our veins and arteries based on such a meagre difference? Should people be forced out of their jobs and ostracized for not vaxing? There's no room for debate when the stats are this conclusive. The vax is not successful at all. You can cite Fauci & friends all you want, but FYI science is just a best guess. Stats are always the final arbiter.
  12. Maybe Joe does have a strategy after all:
  13. The stat that shows 100 triple vaxed people are dying every week in Canada isn't a youtuber/blog website.
  14. Scientific journals like NEJM and the Lancet who can just print retracted over their studies and act like nothing happened?
  15. That would be a pretty scary bank robber. 1% of cops can deal with a guy like that.
  16. You can peddle conspiracy theories all you want, like CTV is a news channel, I'm not interested.
  17. I used to call it Petaweewee. From a couple thousand miles away lol.
  18. 95% of the alcohol I drank was when I was in the navy too lol. A 6 pack last me 3 weeks now.
  19. I got into more than my share of fights lol. 95% of the fights I was in in my life were during the 3 years I was in the navy.
  20. We had the FN when I joined. The C7 was finding it's way onto our boats soon after I got out. There was no rivalry because the gunners were the undisputed kings ?
  21. From your limited understanding, sure, but there are people who are fully expected to die if they get covid (the vaccination rate among those people is the key to understanding whether or not the vaccines do anything) and people who almost certainly won't die if they get covid (they just pump up the success rates of whichever group they're in, so their stats just muddy the waters). All of the stats that we have access to are a mix of both groups. One thing that we do know for sure is that a lot of triple-vaxed people are dying. Wrong. 1) If she doesn't have any co-morbidities she's not at a super high risk of dying. Most people who die have 1 or more. The majority of people have many. 2) If you think that she's getting the same quality of care that you or I would, you're off your rocker. When Trump had it they were putting antibodies into him from other people who successfully fought covid. The cost was prohibitive. 3) Is she really vaccinated? And with the same thing as you? Highly doubtful. 4) Omicron is a weak variant and not many people get very sick from it. It's obvious that they don't work well enough to be inflicted upon people who don't need it and won't benefit from it. That's all that matters for the point of this discussion. The omicron variant is not deadly enough, nor the 'vax' effective enough, to warrant J Trudeau claiming sovereignty over our veins and arteries. It's not even debatable.
  22. When I was a gunner on the Qu'Appelle our only gun mountings were 3'50s (twin 3' bore barrels 150 inch long. The 'big' gun mounting on the fo'c'sle pictured) which are hand-fed. The gunnery range for the west coast is Whiskey 601 which is notoriously rough, I guess that's why we'd go there - everyone else goes around it, so chances were if there was a fire-ex, I was already ill. Anyways, there are two loaders per gun, one on each side, so two guys stand back-to-back in the middle and there's one on the outer side of each. The turret spun around at about 23 degrees per second side to side (super slow by today's standards), which isn't fun when you're already seasick, and the barrels could point anywhere from about ten degrees below horizontal to straight up, so you had to contort your body to get the shells in when it was moving. They were about 3 feet long and weighed approximately 50 lbs. Each barrel shoots 23 rounds per minute, so each guy would load 11.5 rounds per minute, which gives you about 5.5 seconds to grab a shell and stuff it in in there. It's pretty crazy, that big breech block is just slamming up and down 2 feet in front of your face and the guy behind you is constantly bumping you if you were in the middle, the turret would acquire new targets and change direction autonomously, but the adrenaline when you're finally shooting makes you unseasick for a while. We'd be in there for a couple of hours sometimes, mostly waiting though (you know the "hurry up and wait" drill...) and when you were closed up and cleared away you couldn't get out of the mount. I stood in those gun mountings choking back puke many times while that turret was just spinning around but we weren't shooting anything. That ship might has well have been called HMCS Sitting Duck. The turrets were designed in 1955 to shoot down planes going max 400 knots. Migs were going over Mach 2 back then, just forget about the missiles. Our only hope would be if they went right out the other side ?. Subs? Not a chance. We had good torpedoes, and our ship was capable of upgrading to more modern ones quickly if we needed to, but subs always see you first, and they have missiles and torpedoes of their own. We did 13-17 hr days at sea during normal days, over 21 hours on mid-cycle workups, which was 2 weeks of hell. I just did my 3 years and got the f out. I still have a lot of friends from back then, mostly just on FB all over the country.
  23. 1) Your math is wrong because only 85% of people have been dbl-vaxed, so it's less than 6x, but that has nothing to do with it. 2) The number of vaxed people between 5-40 doesn't matter because they won't die either way. They didn't die before there was a vax and they didn't die after there was a vax. All that the high vax rate does in that population demographic is pump up the vaccines' success rates. 3) All that really matters is the vaccination rate among the 70+ with co-morbidities crowd because that's where 80% of the deaths come from, and we don't know those stats at all. Even the 70+ and 80+ stats aren't that big of a deal because over 95% of the people who die have co-morbidities. 4) Even the triple-vaxed stat is almost as high as the unvaxxed stat, 868 vs 1023 [84.8%], and not a lot of people are triple-vaxed [if the jabs were working then triple-vaxed people wouldn't be dying from covid]. Furthermore, almost no one had the 3rd does 2 weeks before Dec 14th. It was 8% on Dec 11th: https://health-infobase.canada.ca/covid-19/vaccination-coverage/ There's an interactive graph on that page that shows the number of triple-vaxed on certain dates, and on Dec 18th only 13% of Canadians were triple vaxed. On Jan 13th it was only 33%. And a lot of those people aren't in the at-risk category so they don't matter. Our daughter is a teacher and she said that she's the only teacher she knows of at her school that only has two doses. Seeing as almost zero % of teachers are over 70, almost none of the teachers being triple-vaxed would be at risk of dying even if they were unvaxed. I'm not a huge believer in the pseudo-vaccines but even I'm surprised how many deaths there are in that category. 868 is a lot in a very short period of time among so few people. I was expecting maybe 50 or so. 200 would have been a lot, because 3 vaxes is a lot. Honestly, knowing that almost no Canadians were triple vaxed 10 weeks ago, aren't you surprised that almost 1,000 have died? Assuming that there were very in Dec, because there were so few T-V'd, there must be well over 100/week now.
