  1. And how many mass shootings happened in that time, how many people died in man-made wars? How many grizzlies were killed in this time frame by entitled idiots killing them for fun. ? Yes, I need a gun to go to the groceries store and face the hypocrite likes of you!
  2. From the pictures above it must be evident I live in bear country. I can see a dozen a day. I am bound to see one no matter which way I go. But I am yet to see someone carrying a gun to defend himself from the bears. Those tales must come from people living in the Alaskan wilderness. One way or another, if this is the main argument that can be made for the revolver, I would leave the residents of Alaska carrying one of those. But, wait, Alaska is still in the USA. We in Canada do not need to carry sidearms.
  3. Again, my personal experience is different. I go from the sea to the mountain tops never carrying more than a bottle of bear spray. If the other hikers start carrying revolvers, I will be done with hiking just because of them, not the bears. Enjoy some more of the bears I saw today.
  4. Where did you read that the recommended line of defense against bears is a revolver? Can you leave the bears alone for once? This one is from TODAY, one of a dozen I photographed, including a grizzly. I have never had a revolver neither do I think of having one!
  5. Exactly. Just read the article. I agree with the statement it makes that there is no reason for anyone to own a revolver gun. Hunters? Which hunters? Those that pose with dead lions, rhinos, elephants, grizzlies ? Those hunters? You cannot ever use the word "culture" with them in mind.
  6. Just imagine some drunk gets shot because he entered the wrong apartment by mistake. Or people shooting family members and friends believing they are invaders. No, we do not need any guns. Then there are those idiots who think they can take their gun and shoot all wildlife they see because no one will see them and catch them.
  7. This is what I said. If their military wants to invade us there is nothing we can do. What size do you believe our military should be? They outnumber us 10:1. In this situation you just hope they will not show themselves to the world again for the assholes they are by invading us. Now that we have a large number of Chinese and East indian residents, waging war on us might be like waging war on China and India put together.
  8. CBC Anti Gun article Next step apparently is to ban all guns. Sounds like a plan to me.
  9. I am interested in catching chinook salmon on a fly, having total peace and quiet in the mountains and seeing more wildlife than humans. MY MISERY HAS INCREASED TO UNPRECEDENTED LEVELS !!!
  10. I take it you finally ran out of possible arguments so now the name calling starts. Curious to see what your neighbor who spent the $15K he couldn't afford on a semi automatic gun will do when he goes bankrupt. He's already made one irrational decision , so instead of selling the gun to extinguish his debt, he may decide to go postal on his neighbors since the world has harmed him. You deal with that; you can call him a moron too if it helps you any.
  11. I had to put up with the site C construction and the LNG construction and the KM expansion as the government demanded this was in the national interest. Now they demand removing these guns is in the national interest. Hand them over and go buy yourself beer with the money to drawn your sorrow. I feel for you. But I want to hear no more about it.
  12. You are trolling, aren't you? Our borders are controlled, and if the US masses want to invade, the Canadian military will be deployed. If the US military wants to invade us, this is a totally different matter which cannot solve even with the banned semi-automatic weapons in our possession. If you intend to bring any weapons with you into Canada, just stay back there.
  13. Children? What do children have to do with that? If a beggar asks you for 1 penny, you'd give him that, won't you? Some might give him $5. But they will not give him their whole purse! Comparing a gun with a child is like comparing the dime in your pocket with your retirement savings!
  14. They can just continue to follow the law and comply. The government tells them now to hand over their guns; they should do that. No, I do not care about the $2 billion after spending $4.5 billion on the Kinder Morgan pipeline. You bet I don't.
  15. I will try to find it and install it tonight! Thanks!
  16. No, not panic, as I pointed out on page 66 of the COVID thread, people simply can go insane! I want to wring the neck of that teenager interrupting my Soundgarden song on Youtube to tell me to "Stay home and be safe", with a smile. Yes, I will smile back at them while doing it! I HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF IT!
  17. I like how you go around exploring and employing all possible lines of defense that suit your argument. No, I am not convinced. We have waitresses , hotel operators, flight attendants, retail store clerks, tour guides and just about anyone else lose a job, and they do not participate in a blood sport, I would have no sympathy for a gun seller having a reduced income because now they have to sell cheaper guns. And , no I do not invest heavily in my hobbies. I have no boat and no truck to haul one with. I like to walk. I use high-end fishing rods but older models - ( Sage and Loomis ). I also collect stamps and similarly I do not put too much money into that. Actually I run this one as a business - I buy new stamps with the profit from selling duplicates.
  18. This is why Trudeau is doing what he has to, to prevent a full blown civil war and lawlessness.
  19. What can I say, I too lost money on my RRSPs. Bad investment. Whoever has $15K to put in a gun, he has money to burn.
  20. Conservatives are lucky they have him as a leader now that the oil prices have crashed. They can blame the whole economy slowdown and crisis in Alberta on the Liberals. But no matter what they do, they will never get my vote.
  21. Wasn't he going to be paid fair market value for his gun? Wasn't this the whole idea behind the program? Yes, I admit I did not take the time to investigate what they banned. Basic logic tells me a reasonable person can comfortably live with the ban and still enjoy shooting practice or hunting.
  22. I CANNOT WATCH YOUTUBE ANY MORE WITHOUT SOME DUMB ASS SHOWING UP EVERY 5 MINUTES TO TELL ME TO STAY HOME TO PREVENT THE SPREAD............ WHERE DO YOU EXPECT ME TO BE AT MIDNIGHT, YOU DUMB F* ! DO YOU THINK I AM WALKING THE STREETS WITH AN iPAD IN MY HAND WATCHING TO YOUR LAME MESSAGE WHILE BUMPING MY HEAD IN THE LIGHT POLES? I WISH ALL THOSE IDIOTS GET THE VIRUS FAST AND DIE FAST SO THE REST OF US CAN KEEP OUR SANITY!
  23. They can adapt to the situation. One can have the same fun firing a pellet gun. But they are left with all high power hunting weapons, just not those that will shoot many rounds in a short time. I see absolutely no problem. As a fisherman I can object bait bans, gear bans, barbless hooks, closed seasons and what not, but at the end I am happy with what I have and I can have the same fun and catch the same number of fish on a barbless fly. I care not what the new regulations will throw at me for as long as I can still enjoy the outdoors.
  24. Yes like those robing the banks with masks on their faces.
  25. Hm, isn't hiding your face racist to begin with? You hide your face, act in a certain way and this makes you less trustworthy to other groups. Then what is the principle behind nationality? It is to unite people having the same cultural values and heritage. This also means it is there to keep the rest out. But hey, there are these experimental countries like the USA , Canada, Australia, New Zealand and then there is this global market , international partnership concept that turned just about every other country into an experiment. To wrap it up, it is not about "Canadians being racist" There will be racist views in every country and in every person.
