All true and I agree. Canada is democracy as we elect our government, however governments should listen more to the people and reflect their views and concerns. In some areas there is little difference between the major political parties like immigration or Health care policies. No party dares to publicly make it a platform to cut immigration and/or be more selective in immigrants so that what is happening in Europe where immigrants from North Africa and Middle East with totally different cultures causing cultural issues does not happen in Canada. Another example is having a Private Health Care system. Our health system is crumbling and tens of thousands of people (our parents and grandparents) dying needlessly by medical errors or overwhelmed doctors and nurses and none of the parties putting a two tiered health system on their platform. In summary there is little difference when it comes to some major issues like it might as well be a one party system!!!!

The intention of protest organizers (called accelerators) was to cause deaths in the hands of law enforcement as they were trying to clear occupation so that they have a cause for a civil war and overthrow the government and take over Canada and turn it into a dictatorship. They failed miserably as we stand on guard/God for thee. CSIS and police intelligent must follow up on these criminals and charge them with sabotage and activities against the national security. Hope they are arrested and put behind bars for a long time.

Well not all could have been available for the few streets in downtown and left the rest of city unguarded. Besides I think the total force that was put together from RCMP, provincial police and Ottawa police were a lot more than 1500 not to mention the snipers and those on horses.

It came as a shock to Ottawa police and Federal and Ontario governments. Ottawa police could not handle it alone. But they needed time to put together a force (RCMP plus police from other provinces plus Ottawa police) and use state of emergency declared only a few days ago to end this occupation. The state od Emergency was really needed to put an end to this occupation.

It is over now. Our Capital is liberated. Occupation ended without serious bloodshed.
