Yes the West should supply Ukraine with advanced planes if they have trained pilots to fly them and successfully go into dog fights with advanced Russian planes and shoot them down. Also supply of drones and plenty of them can help but supply of massive number of defensive equipment like anti tanks and anti planes helps too. BUT most importantly supply of intelligence to Ukraine army. One example, accurate movement and location of Russian army and convoys for Ukrainians to hit and destroy.

Murderous Russian regime and Russian army are purposely targeting civilian residential areas and killing innocent defenseless Ukrainian civilians in order to break the nation's resistance against invading Russian army. Murderous Putin and his entire army general must be condemned to war crimes in international courts so that they will be arrested for mass murder as soon as they leave Russia and this will also encourage dissident Russian army to stage a coup against these bastard killers. Hopefully Russians themselves would hang these bastards because there is no capital punishment in Western countries if they are caught there.

I can understand why NATO can't impose no fly zone but the West must do a much better job at arming Ukraine by defensive weapons like huge number of anti-tank missiles and air defense systems and tanks. It is not happening fast enough or at large enough quantities.

If Putin is toppled in a coup as a result of many Russians including his closest circles being hit with sanctions or suffering too high Russian casualties in his imposed war game or Russian economy diving into blackhole, then he can be delivered to the West and hanged for war crimes or the next Russian regime may do so. That was what happened with their last Tsar when Russians suffering too much casualties at the front and the economy dived into recession in 1917. Those soldiers or commanders taken as POW can also be delivered to the West for prosecution as war criminals.

We do have a culture. It is a mix culture. We will have more Ukrainian culture already compatible with European based Canadian culture.

There was a long time poster with deep political knowledge and some very good posts going by the name of Argus here. Not always we agreed but in time I ewalized many of what he stands for have become my platform and beliefs too thanks to his very convincing posts and comments. Anyone knows what happened to him? I miss his full of knowledge comments and his contributions.

It appears 4000 applications already processed. Good start but we should speed up more to take a lot more Ukrainians. It is estimated that there will be 4 million Ukrainian refugees and Canada takes 400,000 this year alone. Wouldn't it be nice to have the majority of them the already compatible Ukrainians?

The thread title is "Is Putin losing his mind"? Well I am much more interested in seeing him losing his head, by a rope on his neck hanged from a tree. A military help as a result of request by a sovereign country is not same as direct military intervention. I am not saying Nato army must attack invading Russian military but just deliver arms to a sovereign country. US sells arms to many countries to be used if they are invaded.

The West should start massive and rapid delivery of arms to Ukraine's army. Germany has increased its military budget by 100 bullion. Maybe it should have assigned a part to arm Ukraine. Nato is delivering about one billion dollar of arms to Ukraine. May be it should be 10 to 100 times more to be used by Ukraine's army to destroy Russian military.

Ukraine should not have given up its arsenal of nuclear weapons. Russia would not dared to invade.
