No I call it soft landing. The bank governor must find a good balance between damping the growth and inflation. What you describe is Reaganism exercised in the 80's. They raised interest rates violently without any consideration for the growth to 20% and hence pushed the economy into a deep and long recession. They brought down inflation from 12% to 3% in just 2 years but at a very heavy human cost. They put tens of millions out of work losing their home, jobs, family, It was a slaughter. Since then economists have learned how to balance the rising interest rates with slowing growth in order to have soft landing. Those who are here are welcome to stay if they contribute positively and accept the advanced western culture, however, if they wish to bring their problems to Canada, support terrorism, or disrespect women and other beliefs and democracy and western values and free speech then they must be kicked out. I hope the next conservative government will have planned to prevent Canada becoming like Europe is today.

Rising unemployment is not necessarily a bad thing. It may relieve pressure on Bank of Canada and lower interest rates and also dampen this persistent inflation as people's power to purchase will decrease and hence lower prices. Also government cannot use the excuse of label shortage to import undesirables from third world countries into Canada, Stop the damn immigration.

You pick and choose the parts in your favor in any post and then ignore the parts which are not. I said Hamas started it by most violent crime (gang rape of defenseless women) and killing unarmed civilians. For these acts they should be shot once between their legs and once between their eyes. I also said that Israelis are not responsible for civilian deaths because Hamas use civilians as human shields. Unlike Hamas, Israelis don't target civilians but they are killed because coward Hamas fighters are hiding among them.

It is Hamas who is using civilians as human shields to protect themselves so it is responsible for the deaths. Israelis killed civilians which is regretable but do not target them on purpose as Hamas did, Hamas also committed violence against women for which they must all be shot in between their legs.

What about the unprovoked violent attack of October 7? I do realize that innocent civilians have been killed by Israeli attacks but Hamas is mostly responsible. Hamas members need two bullets, One between their legs for mass raping defenseless Israeli women and second in between their eyes for mass murder of defenseless Israeli civilians.

The whole region of middle east with few exceptions not compatible with our culture. Canada must be a whole lot more selective. The next majority conservative government must take concrete steps to save Canada to become future Europe.

Pro-Palestinian demonstrator (pro terrorist) threatens the police in Toronto. This is not acceptable. He should have been arrested for crime and threats against peace officer. Identify the terrorist, sentence him to maximum jail sentence by throwing the book at him. After serving full sentence if still alive, deport him to the hell hole he comes from.

Since I posted this, I wish to clarify that I don't paint all muslims with the same brush. People have no choice where they are born, so we must not ban regional immigrants (like all from middle east) rather those who are undesirables like Europeam Nazis, Russian criminals, fanatics Muslims but not all. Many people from Mid East are here and are indeed contributing very positively as doctors, engineers, nurses, taxi drivers, etc. and paying taxes. I full heartedly agree with new Dutch PM. Targetting individual atmed terrorists one by one rather than indiscriminate bombings. They do suffer a lot more casualties this way though, I admit.

Israel is not responsible for casulties as Hamas is using them as human shields but Israel has to do its best to minimize deaths and suffering on civilians caught in between. I don't think Israel is doing that.

So Canada is planning on a large number of immigrants over the next few years. I have a message to all new comers and those already immigrated to Canada. Canada ia a beautiful country. Most Canadians are very welcoming and Canada is a land of opportunity with a high standard of living. If you come to this country, then leave your problems at home and start a new productive life here in Canada and start contributing positively to the land and society which gave you refuge from your problems abroad. Love it or leave it. If you don't love or don't respect its people or culture of equality and freedom, then go back to where you come from.
