Definition of a recession is not six straight months of negative growth but two quarters of negative growth so if April and May and June have an average negative growth even if June is a positive growth, technically we are in a recession.

Even if for the month of June we have positive growth that does not mean that we are not in recession. Recession is defined as two quarters of negative growth and 1st quarter we did have negative growth and for the first two months of second quarter we also have had negative growth so unless we have a strong growth for June suddenly then we can still be in a technical recession but with month of June growth.

Argus you are questioning the obvious as evidence is plenty that Israel lobbies the opposition to Obama to destroy the agreement. Even their prime minister made a speech in US congress encouraging a vote against negotiating with Iran and about how dangerous Iran is with fiction rather than facts. They don't wish sanctions removed and love to see American military actions against Iran and strongly lobby for it as something they don't have the balls to do it themselves. You also counter all the facts about Israel. I never said ISIS or Muslim extremist or other groups you named don't kill innocent defenseless people(in fact it has been Israeli policies which has created terrorism and hatred for the US and the west). I said Israel does too. And as they don't have the balls to attack Iran, again evidently not as for years they have talked about it even planned to do so between 2009 to 2012 but the last minute their military and politicians had a change of heart because they knew of devastating consequences. If Iran was weak as Syria or Iraq they would have done so as they did with them. With Iran they didn't have the balls as I said they have the habit of attacking the weak and defenseless..

Canada is the country that millions of people are in the line up as we speak to come over and live and tens of millions more wished to have had this chance. It is peaceful in spite of multiculturalism (so we should become more selective to keep it that way) and prosperous (though we should share more of this prosperity among citizens) and democratic (no tanks on streets, no bombs or missiles landing on cities, governments come to power via elections not a coup and we don't have secret police to arrest and torture citizens for opposition to government). Race relations are relatively good unlike Europe and US we don't have riots and shootings (though we need to cut down on immigration to keep it that way). Canadians are caring and non-prejudice and generous (though there are always exceptions). We are relatively safe at home and on streets and random attacks are very rare. We can criticize our government policies and not retaliated for criticism or get arrested. Sure it is not perfect and there are rooms for improvements but I for one share the view that I wish to live nowhere else regardless who we may elect .

Please re-read my post. I said no NDP government at Federal level has ever been elected. In the 90's that you had a disaster Bob Rae we had a good NDP government in Manitoba in the 80's. That said, I don't think any provincial government is an indicative of how the party would do at Federal level.

And the reason I would vote NDP is because all past conservative and liberal governments have been in power and self serving (though this conservative party wins the Gold in all these) but NDP has never formed a government at Federal level and now for the first time ever they have a chance to do so. Please read the two scenarios I discussed in one of my previous posts and respond to that. No one dared to respond to the two very likely scenarios I described in that post as 1 - what would happen if there is an Iran-G6 nuclear deal and 2 - What would happen if the deal falls apart.

I have said it many times we MUST BE MORE SELECTIVE on who we accept as immigrants. We must assess each INDIVIDUALLY not REGIONALLY. Those who look at women as wh***s must be filtered out and thrown away in the garbage but this has nothing to do with race or region but I do accept in certain religions it is more percentagewise but again not all. We take about 250K immigrants each year (I have said already the number for a country of 30 million is too high) and a good majority of them are from non-muslim countries. Those from Muslim countries are mostly with high education and advanced thinking. Muslims will never become a majority in this country so stop fearing. We must give more points to skills, education, assets and ADAPTABILITY and accept those who believe in total equality of women and are respectful to women. Yes like yourself I have seen all previous Canadian governments do it often in the past including the liberals (I have been following Canadian politics since 1983 when I was a college student in Ottawa as politics has always been my favorite subject) but this Harper government has done it more frequent and much worse than before.
