  1. I wouldn't bet on that one. The guy that shot Reagan was signing autographs when he was in jail! Why would someone who was put in jail by a cop be mad at someone who is convicted of killing a cop? WWWTT
  2. Distasteful? Key words here are "evidence you have seen"! Do not confuse with "evidence that will come out in court"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There's a reason why we have a justice system, and why it's not to be circumvented by the police or anyone! Including a bunch of posters on a debate forum! Who are you to say I'm publishing nonsense? Who are you to say I should be ashamed of myself? Who are you to say I'm beyond distasteful? You're a piss poor debater that is getting frustrated, unable to score points so you are trying to get personal! As far as I'm concerned, you should be..... WWWTT
  3. Watching my father die several years ago was a torture! Fortunately cancer did the dirty deed and put a quick end to an unnatural inhuman painful death. It's ironic that modern medicine can extend life, but from what I have witnessed, that does not necessarily always mean that the quality of life has improved. Almost a year before my father died, I had an incredible feline friend I named Bob that I had to ask a Vet to put to sleep. You see, Bob had FIV that had blown out to full AIDS and was suffering incredibly for a couple years. I can only watch my friend suffer in pain for so long and then had to say goodbye. It was the right thing to do. WWWTT
  4. Briefly heard this on the car radio yesterday. I thought I heard that the federal government was going to appeal it or something like that. Something also about this being in a federal jurisdiction of law, therefore the Quebec motion can not be binding or something involved like that? WWWTT
  5. Why are you trying to stifle debate on a debate forum? Is that the role of the moderator? Are you not a moderator? Why are you taking sides? The way I see it, you should either stick to moderating, or if you contribute, do so in a neutral manner. When a moderator start's writing things like "there's no debate here" in a debate forum, you have to wonder what your motives are? If the moderation on this forum is going to be openly biased, then what's the point in contributing here anymore? WWWTT
  6. What's that, your new debating tactic???? Freekin lame buddy! WWWTT
  7. Ya it sounds like this guy is really spun out and wanted a showdown. We will see what comes out in court if the judge doesn't put too many news bans on the trial. WWWTT
  8. I think you are misquoting this comment here that originated with an exchange I had with bush_cheney. But since you want a go at it, you missed the part where I wrote "MAYBE" But you clearly used the word in your comment, so I will assume that you do not understand the meaning of the word maybe. WWWTT
  9. Why? Lots of people here want to spew HOW they feel, but are avoiding WHY! Reason is because if you actually write out the WHY, you realize that that WWWTT is going to jump all over this one! WWWTT
  10. And what about the accused??? Try using your argument on Guy Paul Morin. WWWTT
  11. Ya I saw that poll from a facebook friend. I find it hard to believe that the liberals can be riding so high and the NDP so low?!?!? I personally don't believe it, but if it pans out I would think that third party negative adds would be helping the NDP for the simple fact that they seem to be flying under the radar right now. WWWTT
  12. Nothing wrong with some restrictions. WWWTT
  13. Only an on duty uniformed one if the accused does not know them. I remember a case back in the 90's where an undercover cop was killed in his car by two women and the first degree was thrown out by the judge for the lesser second degree because the convicted, then accused killers were unaware he was an policeman. WWWTT
  14. I assume that the murder charges are first degree. WWWTT
  15. True, but what I am really getting at is that there is more than one side to a story. And according to the CCORAF, everyone is innocent until proven guilty. Just trying to point out that the person charged in this case could have reason's that they feel are logical in taking. WWWTT
  16. Not my fault you don't understand that the justice system in Canada is designed for trials and hearings, dismissing cases and/or finding convictions and applying appropriate sentencing. Now do I bear any responsibility for how you may misinterpret our judicial functions. WWWTT
  17. Hey Argus, I thought you liked the cops? They can never do no wrong? Different thread, different Argus. WWWTT
  18. Of ok then, so wanting to lynch this guy without a trial is the moral high ground? I think you would be more comfortable in a country where the mob rules! WWWTT
  19. Are those the allegations that he was charged with? I only heard that he was now in custody, did not hear what the charges were. WWWTT
  20. It's not the job of the justice system to protect victims. That's why we have police, military, medics and governments. WWWTT
  21. Stop what? Debating? Stop reminding everyone that the Charter of Rights and Freedoms apply to all it's citizens? Sounds like you given up debating! WWWTT
  22. Innocent until proven guilty! I was hoping this guy was captured/surrendered! Now this can go to trial! WWWTT
  23. Almost forgot. Sounds like you have amnesia about the RCMP breaking and entering homes and seizing fire arms during the Alberta floods last year. Ya, the cops, they never do bad things. Those guys are like freekin angels with halos on their heads. WWWTT
  24. Sounds like you got the real problem here buddy. What is it that you don't understand about the Canadian charter of rights and freedoms???? Are you illiterate? Section 11(d) clearly says: to be presumed innocent until proven guilty according to law in a fair and public hearing by an independent and impartial tribunal Do you believe that someone in Canada is less equal and the charter does not apply to? If he is found guilty in a court of law, then that's that! There is a process that must go through in Canada, let the system do it's job. WWWTT
  25. Like I had written in my comment, that cop that is charged with murder in the streetcar/kid murder is innocent till proven guilty! Same rules apply to ALL CANADIANS BUDDY! If you can't get it, then you will never have much luck with being in a position of authority when the heat is on. WWWTT
