  1. It sounds like Ford has slandered the Star in calling them "liars" and is challenging the Star to sue him for doing so. It's actually funny and somewhat immature to say something like this? As well it's apparent that Ford has now slipped down to a point where it will be very difficult for him to pull out of. WWWTT
  2. North Korea does not equal China. True, the US was the largest supplier of troops, money and hardware, but it was to only reclaim SK.As well after the Chinese involvement, the US was more than happy to WALK AWAY with a draw!(stress on walk away) I am still correct in my analysis of the climate required for US involvement and I wouldn't hold my breath to see the US to do anything to escalate tensions with China. WWWTT
  3. I would think it is silt. I know the yellow river in China has the name because of the natural sediment it carries. WWWTT
  4. I think you hit the nail on the head here with noting the "information" that is being used. What is "good information"? At one time many products that are now "banned" started out as good products(asbestos related is one example) And because this issue is inherently prone to so many circular arguments,I have chosen to calculate the efficiency of my time away from global warming. WWWTT
  5. Oh man that's freekin funny!!! Ford is challenging the Star to sue him for him calling the Star liars! Sounds like something someone who is drunk would say. So much for Ford's lawsuit against the Star. WWWTT
  6. Thanks for posting the link. In it Tory does say that Ford should sue the Star if the story is not true, but once again failure to do so is almost like(or can be perceived to be an) an admission of guilt. WWWTT
  7. Agreed,we''ll see what unfolds from this. Keep in mind, that if the Toronto Star is misleading or fabricating,Ford can successfully sue them. But he may want to avoid going under a stronger microscope. WWWTT
  8. provide the link backing your 95% claim. WWWTT
  9. Provide the links Boges so that we can debate. WWWTT
  10. Go back to comment #526 that I made.Korea was part of the UN operation.
  11. Never heard of the mayor of the city of where an event was being held to be "asked to leave" before! (or any politician or notable for that matter) Ford must have done something very serious to be asked to leave! WWWTT
  12. So that he can "check in" at rehab. WWWTT
  13. Sorry, that first line should have read,The US has never had the appetite to go up against such a large opponent(China) Large means military and economics. And why would no equal opposition to the US (the only country in any capable position to invade Canada) be a good thing for Canada,or world peace? WWWTT
  14. OK I guess Toronto councilor and Ford supporter Paul Ainslie is an unnamed source?!?!?!?!? OK if you say so then. WWWTT
  15. Oh why again Ford? Why again? This guy is starting to become the political broken record of the 21 century! He has pretty much buried his political future in a bottle now and rehab is his only recourse now. Here's the dirt from the Toronto Star Garrison Ball is an annual dinner, attended by 800 soldiers, sailors, airforce personnel and civilians. The ball raised money for the well known Wounded Warriors charity. Billed as an evening of “pageantry and camaraderie,” the dinner was held on Saturday, Feb. 23, at the Liberty Grand near Toronto’s waterfront. Guests at the event included Minister of National Defence Peter MacKay, Chief of Defence Staff Gen. Tom Lawson, and Vice-Admiral Paul Maddison, the commander of the Royal Canadian Navy. Ford arrived late to the cocktail and dinner event. He was speaking in a rambling, incoherent manner that alarmed some of the guests, according to organizers, military reservists and a prominent Ottawa conservative who were interviewed for this story. Toronto Councillor Paul Ainslie, a strong Ford ally, confirmed to the Star that Ford was asked to leave. If anyone here wants to defend Ford now,I urge you to think twice! Ford needs to step down immediately and seek help, put the political ambitions away, consider the importance of the Toronto citizens and his own health. WWWTT
  16. Rob Ford was asked to leave an event for the Canadian Armed Forces last month because of concerns he was impaired.Ohhh Ford why again Ford why again!

If Ford is getting bombed in public than I can only imagine what happens when he is at home. Also, when you enter politics, you should be dedicating more time to your job! We'll see how well he does in the next election.

"According to sources that include former and current staff, Ford often does not leave his home until noon. His itineraries indicate that daily staff briefings are held at about 9:30 a.m., but on those late days, the sources say, Ford participates by phone or not at all. Some days he never appears in his office. Ford has always spent much of his time outside the walls of city hall, doing his famous one-on-one constituency work, but even that has dropped off drastically."

Ya just the fact that Ford is easily/constantly criticized and is always on the defensive says alot.

  17. If the US ever had the appetite to go up against such a large opponent. In US history,it has never gone up against such a large opponent on its own at this scale so what you suggest is pure fantasy! Start a thread about your war fantasy. WWWTT
  18. In this context Germany = Strawman And no rice is NOT included in your link.Soybean, corn and wheat only. I believe that this is intentionally done to make China appear to be in a more vulnerable position than it actually is. Keep in mind that the last recession hit(2008-2009) hit the US the hardest (Iraq) WWWTT
  19. This link means very little because it is about grains that are not considered a staple in Chinese diet. You have a link about rice??? WWWTT
  20. Then China was not even a G20 country. Now China is #2 and in a few years will be #1! Whole different ball game now. WWWTT
  21. Man that's freekin funny!!! Bush must feel real dirty all the time, hahahaha! WWWTT
  22. Provide link about the food imports WWWTT
  23. China and Russia are currently trying to strengthen their ties. The US would be very happy to see the two fight each other down. In reverse, the US would hate to see the two increase/expediate trade and commerce. WWWTT
  24. Yes I just watched the Mandarin news from China and their Chairman is in Russia making some big deal for Russian fighter jets. I have also seen this ramp up for the Chinese military navy and aircraft carriers.(could be wrong about the carrier) I think the 2008 economic meltdown pretty much scared off the US to go start any more conflict. We are seeing proof of this in regards to the US/NATO limited involvement in the Arab spring and Syria. I think the Iraq invasion pissed off the Russians and Chinese to the point where they decided that they will somehow show their displeasure for that action in their own time and way. WWWTT
  25. Maybe 5 years tops. After that China will be the top dog,we'll see the US start reverting back to domestic issues. Actually they have already started their focus away from foreign issues towards domestic. The US simply can not continue to afford their military coarse or risk suffering the same fate as the USSR WWWTT
