Since AA for blacks became standardised during LBJ's Great Society Crusade [another example of a dumb liberal program], black families have dissolved, crime is up, single mother families are up, teenage pregnancies are up, and a subculture of underachievement is rampant. Why try if you know that your skin or ethnicity is your trump card ? You dream on in your little bubble world RB where all people are equal, all things are relative and white people are racist pricks who hate all skin color and businessmen when they are not whipping their employees spend long hours in darkened rooms plotting how to destroy the soul of immigrants with dark skin tones.

What is the point of even pretending to have a military ? Scrap it. $8 billion per year buys you nothing. Canada is almost last in per capital military spend in the Western world. We are a laughingstock internationally. To cover up our weakness we resort to 'soft[headed] power', loving terrorists, embracing despots and crying about Africa, and supporting the Useless Nattering Org. Please. Stop with the Charade - scrap the military and fund more Indian managed provinces and jurisdictions and regional subsidies.

Well i would never equate Israel with either party mentioned above. I have great respect for the Jewish tribe which has endured unending persecution. Israel will not only survive, it will thrive. The Charter is a document that is vague, and open to abuse. All Rights documents are used by the politicians and judiciary to advance certain causes and support special interests. Either make it concise, short and clear or strike it down. As with most Canadian legislation there was little debate or understanding on what the Charter is supposed to do. Michael Bliss wrote an article in the NP today defending the courts ability to 'interpret' the Charter of Rights. It was assinine. Bliss basically defends Chretien stating that unelected judges are there to interpret legislation. He misses some key points: 1. Marriage and family are OUTSIDE of political interference. Division of powers. 2. Unelected judges are not superior to Parliament, in fact the reverse is true. 3. No proof exists that homosexuality should be considered more than a pyschological deviance. Welcome to Trudeau's Canada - a main reason why 40.000 professionals go to the States each year. I don't see 40.000 coming the other way.

I agree. The Chinese have to stop feeding NK and supporting it covertly. I doubt this will happen. The Chinese are a xenophobic lot, the Middle Kingdom shall dominate etc. The US will need to cordon off NK with Russian, Japanese and Janus faced Chinese support - economically, militarily and politically. The cordon does not solve the main problem though, which is the threat posed by NK's ICBMs. Only 2 things can happen to eliminate the threat - regime implosion such as what happened in Soviet Russia, or a military action along the lines of Kosovo [not a good model in actual fact but the theory was okay], or Gulf War II. Since the Muslim world is the main focus the only sensible option is the cordon sanitaire around NK, keep the nauseatingly ineffective UNO and EU out of the picture, and plan for military strikes when and if NK decides to become militarily active. To do this will require active vigilance from Japan and Russia. Canada of course can write anti-american op eds about bad American policy. As with most left liberal nations the Canadians are hypocrites. They don't believe that redrawing the map of the middle east is necessary. If one was to invade NK they would forward that this too is wrong unless sanctioned by the UN. I would have thought that the blast at the UN HQ in Baghdad would have shattered such illusions, or a quick look at the starving NKoreans who give up butter so Kim and his mad lot can buy guns. Some good points in the article. I would not say that Canada does not deserve to be a country - i think it deserves national status - but it is confused about what type of nation it should be. The problem with Canada is post modern thought. Canada is lost in a philosophical fog. It forgets about its own history and what brought the country forged from the wilderness a high standard of life. Canada has natural allies - the US, Britain and Australia. These nations are bonded by language, liberal institutions, blood sacrifice, democracy and modernism. Canada is rejecting this group and moving into the a-historical socialist vision posited by the EU. This is a huge mistake. Socialism begets nothing but corruption and misery. The key byword Canadians have forgotten is freedom. Freedom from opressions, freedom from onerous taxes and debt and freedom from hate. Freedom means responsibility, hard power, secure borders and a jaundiced eye towards the UN and other agencies 'hijacked' by the EU. You ask why don't i support Kyoto - it is a policy by the EU to wipe out the energy cost advantage enjoyed by the US. It has nothing to do with the environment. I fully agree with the tenor of the article. For me anti-americanism is weak minded national socialism - something the Nazi's were geniuses at cultivating. National pride is acceptable - but the nation has to deliver public goods, private goods and stand for something. Canada stands for what exactly ?
