  1. You'll love this, then. Seattle Public Schools recently held a training session for teachers in which American schools were deemed guilty of “spirit murder” against black students. The United States is a “race-based white-supremist society,” the training instructed, and white teachers must “bankrupt [their] privilege in acknowledgement of [their] thieved inheritance.” According to whistleblower documents I’ve obtained from the session, the trainers begin by claiming that the teachers are colonizers of “the ancestral lands and traditional territories of the Puget Sound Coast Salish People.” Then, next to an image of the Black Power fist, they claim that “the United States was built off the stolen labor of kidnapped and enslaved Black people’s work, which created the profits that created our nation.” This is the kind of crap which will doom the Democrats if they can't get control of it. There's only so much of this sort of bullshit nagging and accusations Americans of any race are gonna take. https://www.city-journal.org/racial-equity-programs-seattle-schools

  4. Trump won. It was a record win. The steal was a coup by fraud. Whether the fix turns out to just be an attempt or it's a success Trump still won to anybody who chooses not to ignore the obvious. It's looking like Trump is running out of options though. You Biden supporters may very well be enjoying the ol' Chinese curse of "May you live in interesting times" for the next four years of Biden or Harris. I'd be careful about being too happy about that though, if I were you.

  5. I wish I had bought Tesla, which is a terrible investment by all recognizable methods of assessing value, vastly overpriced, to the extent one investment house JP Morgan, I believe, said that if it lost 90% of its value it would STILL be overpriced. But it's become a cult thing and is up 800% since March. BTW, why do you own mutual funds? They charge ridiculous prices for what you can get much cheaper with an ETF.

  6. Have watched that more than a few times . . . . Trudeau is truly a light-weight in the mechanics of the sweet science.

  7. I am astonished at the number of people across this country who let their banks advise them what to do with their money. Banks have no fiduciary responsibility to you as a customer. They will give you whatever advise profits THEM, not you. When you sell stocks, they earn money, as they do when you buy them. Stocks sitting in your account doing nothing earn them nothing. If you own bank mutual funds you are paying them ridiculously high rates on those funds. Banks will never give you the best rate on a mortgage. The bank is there to make money. It is NOT your friend. You have no friends in the business, banking or investment world.

  8. Humans are animals. And animals behave in various ways for a variety of reasons. Survival is possibly one reason. ===== We all pass on our genetic code. But some animals pass on habits, learned knowledge. In a century or so, someone may see this video! Could any European man in 1913 see a Youtube video from Leipzig in 1813?

  9. If you know so little about it why are you asking some guy on the internet who doesn't even live in your country? As actively interested as you seem to be in politics you ought to know all this stuff.

  10. If you think the Republicans aren't co-opted by corporate America you really didn't understand the purpose for that massive tax cut last year. It was, as most commentators admitted, a reward to the 'donor class' - ie the wealthy, ie, the people who own those corporations. Notice how the corporate tax cuts were permanent but the personal tax cuts expire next year? It was, as one person said "A kiss on the cheek" for the donor class. And they didn't mean the cheek above the collar... By the way, Trump managed to get a special tax cut for real estate developers inserted at the last minute...

  11. My own opinion is Quebec. They filter potential leaders by their ability to speak French. But since their base of support is in the West, that screens out 95% of potential candidates. So we wind up with guys like Joe Clark, Stephen Harper and Andrew Scheer, who, to put it mildly, are not great communicators and have very little charisma. But at least they speak French! And every election Quebec gives them the back of their hand anyway.
