boy some things don't change!

The big three have been trying to destroy the rest of us forever. Good thing we are waking up ... to the nightmare.

If you are claiming a religious exemption from the hate law, please say so up front. If you have no religious exemption, please keep hateful thoughts to yourself. Thank you.

...Now the Afghanis people are wagering war to the Canadian military for what the US military did by killing Afghanis people. If we lose the confidence of the people we better pack up and come home because we WILL lose more of our military by the Taliban and the Afghanis and turn into another mess like Iraq, which can'r be won by the military alone!

Guess again...

Canadian soldiers mistakenly killed an Afghan civilian and a member of the Afghan national police Sunday following an attack on a Canadian convoy.

If it weren't for the big corporations, banks and churches....you wouldn't have anything to wake up to. Like John Lenon you'd have to imagine the utopia you think would exist without our society.

when rome fell, it was in part because of the inability of the military to adopt to the methods of the barbarians, all they could do was be a disciplined army and stomp on whole peoples and villages.

Rome fell because of people like you. Rome was strong when their tough people under ruthless leaders were butchering their enemies, when the legions were mighty. But Rome became fat and weak and its people wanted circuses and entertainment, and didn't want to pay for soldiers much less be soldiers because that wasn't as interesting or fun.

No one but the insane thinks war is a good thing. But no one but a fool shrinks away from a confrontation with violent, brutal people - for they will simply pursue you and grow more violent and more brutal - and stronger.

If we learned anything in the thirties it would be that.

i have already said under those circumstances, one has no choice but to defend oneself from barbarians. so i dont see how you equate that kind of thinking to me. other than, my point about using some caution before you engage. because once you engage, its full on or nothing.

sure, i see your point and its well taken, but no need to say, rome fell because of people like me. you describe them as hedonist and i am not a hedonist

I would suggest that you have zero idea why rome fell.

Of all the theories about the Fall of Rome, ranging from too much lead in the water, too many mercenaries, too heavy taxation, morally bankrupt aristocracy, declining manpower to the effeminization of Christianity, no one in to my knowledge has ever posited that the Roman Legion's descipline was at fault.
