GostHacked Posted May 17, 2007 Report Posted May 17, 2007 Then why do you read it and add stupid thoughts like how you'd let your infant run with a rabid pit bull? Sentiments like that are why there are child care services. Actually, what I would really do is keep my children away from people like you. Physical trauma is one thing, psychological trauma is another thing. A snake may take out an eye. And at such a young age, the kid will be able to overcome it. It will be the psychological damage the kid sustained during the 'snake attack' that I would be more worried about. Again, what works in India, can stay in India. It does not work here in Canada or the USA. And there is no need to put preasure on the Indian government to change anything they do inside their own borders. To each their own. And if you actually thought I was serious for one moment, then you need to get your head checked or push the chair away from the desk for a few minutes and think about it. If I ever did that to my kid, I expect my family to step in and take over. Screw Child Services. My kid would just end up in a foster home. I would feel better knowing my family cares enough to step in and take over. And I respond for the hell of it. Because I want to. And for the record, I have no children. Also, does that kid look scared at all?? You would know if the kid was scared. Quote
sharkman Posted May 17, 2007 Report Posted May 17, 2007 What is it with this 'to each their own' nonsense? Some cultures have sacrificed their children to pagan gods. Some have regularly physically abused their kids and some sexually. To each their own gave dictators the time to get a firm grasp of a nation. No one is trying to put pressure on India. The point of this thread is not to put pressure on India, but to just say this practice is wrong. If you can't see that its wrong, then it's a good thing you have no children. Especially since you think that a baby can accurately sense when it should be scared. Quote
