1967100 Posted April 28, 2007 Report Posted April 28, 2007 I heard on a radio today that Olivia Chow is running towards replacing her husbad as the leader of the NDP. Maybe now finally the NDP will at least get enough support to form at least the official opposition as Olivia is more popular among ethnic urban voters than Jack is and that'll mean the NDP stealing seats from traditional liberal strongholds. Does anyone here know the story? If it is true, will Olivia Chow revive the NDP back to its Ed Broadbent days and beyond? Quote
scribblet Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 IMO, no she's not the one to do it. Who says Layton is thinking of retiring, he's a bit young for that isn't he? Quote Hey Ho - Ontario Liberals Have to Go - Fight Wynne - save our province

It'll certainly never be the official opposition. Especially if a used car salesman's wife is running it. Quote
gc1765 Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 The NDP really do need a new leader, IMO. I don't mind the NDP, but I'm not a fan of Layton. Quote Almost three thousand people died needlessly and tragically at the World Trade Center on September 11; ten thousand Africans die needlessly and tragically every single day-and have died every single day since September 11-of AIDS, TB, and malaria. We need to keep September 11 in perspective, especially because the ten thousand daily deaths are preventable. - Jeffrey Sachs (from his book "The End of Poverty")
madmax Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 This is such a funny thread title. Conspiracy theorists delight or people with little to talk about. Seems election fever is over, even the postings in these forums are going down. But.... What if... Quote
