Impeach Cheney First

Recommended Posts

Dick Cheney led the charge of lies and deceptions intended to take America into a reckless adventure in Iraq. He has the blood of tens of thousands on his hands and continues his campaign of criminal activities.

Sources close to the office of Representative Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) confirm that the progressive Democratic congressman and Democratic presidential aspirant intends to introduce a bill of impeachment against Vice President Dick Cheney in the House of Representatives on Wednesday, April 25.

The move will mark the second time that an impeachment bill has been submitted against a member of the Bush administration. Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D-GA) filed a bill of impeachment against President Bush in December of last year, just as the 109th Congress was about to end, and as Rep. McKenney was about to leave office (she was defeated in last November's election).

Kucinich's bill will go to the Judiciary Committee, where Chairman John Conyers (D-MI) and the other members will have to decide whether to request subpoena powers and to begin a hearing into impeachable offenses by the vice president.

Kucinich's action marks a major step forward for impeachment activists, who have been frustrated by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), who has repeatedly stated that she has no interest in having the House hold impeachment hearings against president or vice president (and who has been leaning hard on Democratic caucus members in the House not to file impeachment bills).

BYU Alterntative Commencement

http://byualternativecommencement.com/index.html

Last month, Brigham Young University invited Vice President Dick Cheney to speak at the school's April commencement. Many students, faculty members, alumni, and community members believe that Vice President Cheney represents neither their standards nor those of the University.

BYU Alternative Commencement is a grassroots effort comprised of BYU students, faculty, alumni, and friends determined to make their voices count by marching to an alternative commencement following the official graduation ceremony.

We want this event to be an alternative commencement, but also a commencement about alternatives. Instead of responding with criticism and traditional forms of protest, we want to give students, faculty, and community members an opportunity to express dissent in a constructive way. Our program will focus on alternatives as well, featuring speakers who offer creative, democratic solutions to the problems facing our country and government. By holding an alternative commencement, we seek to honor speakers who embody a spirit of political optimism and ingenuity. Our hope is that this event will counter a trend of cynicism and wholesale criticism by encouraging discussion and empowering graduates to offer positive solutions in the face of daunting problems. We believe that preparing people to make this kind of visionary, creative change is what commencement should be about.

It is an addiction, make no mistake about it. Anyone from any race can catch it. It cuts across all boundaries and if you hang around the addicts, you will become addicted. The addiction of hate has once again swept across the Americas, from north of Mexico, and south of Canada, it is locked and loaded from sea to shining sea. Now in semi-automatic mode, it is ready to go fully automatic at any time. The hate stems from the Administration, where it was cultivated in a deliberate white supremacist push from the Cheney/Rumsfeld early years, before Bush was told by Rove he would be “The Man.”

The push by these men, has given today what is now obvious to all who put down the beers and coke (liquid and powder form) and take a look around. A break from sniffing the white powder, gulping the pharmaceuticals, inhaling the weed, and snorting the hops and rye, reveal a very real outcome. From local to federal levels, the white supremacists have taken the government. Fair Housing, Civil Rights Commission, Justice, the Legislative Branch, and the Administration to name a few, are now run by the supremacists. Teachers, police officers, and various public workers, the once public servants, many of who now snuffle and grunt at the public trough while pilfering all that is not theirs to take. Their income is taken from all citizens, but their labors are used to serve only the few.

The people for years have struggled to build a nation, which is now in the hands of gross defilers of civil rights and liberties; by men and women who will do as all addicts do, use until the supply is gone. Goodbye United States, welcome to the Un-tied States of broken dreams.

The lemming congress is overcome with guilt because the addicts have them cornered, from within, (Trent Lott) and without, (The Administration) to name just a few. Had the lemmings been brave and taken their hits for their indiscretions as a group, the country perhaps would be saved, and the non-addicts would as always forgive. Yet they are weak, with only some of the women in power having any decency left. Yet these women too, suffer from guilt of behavior, and therefore the outcome is not good. Crack addicted whores are no longer the only addicted females now scorned by the masses; the congressional indiscretions of men and women alike have allowed the hate addicts to intimidate this once reasonably honorable body to become obese from inaction.

Addicts must take a “hit” on a regular basis, and citizens now talk hatred in daily meetings, with family, friends, coworkers etc. Imus talks like this with his fellows, and it has slipped out into the mainstream. Bill O’Reilly talks like this at dinner parties, and this behavior is unseen by the many.

The Christian Right is as guilty of this sin, as are the addicted in the corporate world. They too thrive form the labors of the masses.

The fascist movement will grow unless congress breaks their denial, and once again establishes a representative government.

Nah...give Dick "Ironman" Cheney a medal. Impeach Bill Clinton...again!

You're in favour of killing soldiers and innocents for Halliburton's bottom line? I guess if Paul Bremer and George Tenet can get the Medal of Freedom for lying and being incompetent, your topsy-turvy approach makes sense.

For outstanding demonstration of hunter safety.

They almost have to impeach the entire Bush Administration, because I don't think there's an honest one in the lot. Bush has been the worst world leader since Adolph Hitler, but who else from his band of misfits is any better? Impeach Cheney first is a good idea, so long as old GW is close on his heels. I thinks it's the only way that Americans can prove to the rest of the world that they are not all war mongers or gun-totin' Jesus freaks.

Well if Dick is an, "Ironman," he's earned a Nazi War Service Iron Cross --- it seems to fit as it doesn't require actual service in combat

Who says Americans want to prove any such thing? That's a Canadian "please, please love us" value. Vice President Cheney is not going to be impeached. He is going to continue his cynical smirk because that's what we love about him, The Godfather of Oil. When America needed the biggest prick it could find, VP Cheney was happy to oblige.

The Impeach07 Campaign launch was announced on February 22, 2007, by Democrats.com. The impeachment movement is "uniting and expanding", according to a mass emailing. "Democrats.com is joining with many other organizations to launch Impeach07, a coordinated series of nationwide actions aimed at" impeaching President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney "through widespread public protest, creative dissent, media activism, education, and lobbying."

Unfortunately, there is no provision in the US Constitution for impeachment by public protest, creative dissent, media activism, education, lobbying, or dope smoking.

Nah, Bush is a cute cuddly teddy bear compared to some of the world leaders.

That may be true, because Cheney is the real "decider." The teddy bear just sits and reads about his pet goat and waits for the real president to act. And how many world leaders have shot a guy in the face?

Even if those rumors were true and apparently there is no evidence, it doesn't change anything.

the rumors are true - there is evidence but quite right, no, it changes nothing, Bush and Cheney are fascists - so was JE Hoover
