Guest American Woman Posted December 31, 2006 Report Posted December 31, 2006 Happy New Year, everyone! Have a fun, safe New Year's Eve. And let's hope this year brings some much needed changes in the world. Peace to all. Quote
stignasty Posted January 1, 2007 Report Posted January 1, 2007 Harper New Year? Sure, as long as it's our last. Quote "It may not be true, but it's legendary that if you're like all Americans, you know almost nothing except for your own country. Which makes you probably knowledgeable about one more country than most Canadians." - Stephen Harper
Guest American Woman Posted January 1, 2007 Report Posted January 1, 2007 Harper New Year?Sure, as long as it's our last. I just noticed that the thread title is "Harper New year," not "Happy New Year." As an American who cares about Canada, I hope this is Harper's last year too. Quote
crazymf Posted January 1, 2007 Report Posted January 1, 2007 What the hell is the matter with you guys. Here I thought there was actually someone with a heart around here. I guess not, HAPPY NEW YEAR anyway. stu Quote The trouble with the legal profession is that 98% of its members give the rest a bad name. Don't be humble - you're not that great. Golda Meir
margrace Posted January 1, 2007 Report Posted January 1, 2007 When I think of what may happen to people my age and situation if Harper gets in I get a horrible feeling in my gut. I hope it never happens. Happy new year. Quote
sharkman Posted January 1, 2007 Report Posted January 1, 2007 When I think of what may happen to Canada and people of ALL ages if Harper doesn't 'get' in, I get a.... headache. Funny that, I would have thought it would have given me a horrible feeling in my gut or something. Maybe in this new year people will lighten up. Quote
crazymf Posted January 1, 2007 Report Posted January 1, 2007 Vive le Harper in government. The alternative is not good imho. Quote The trouble with the legal profession is that 98% of its members give the rest a bad name. Don't be humble - you're not that great. Golda Meir
Curtis Smith Posted January 1, 2007 Report Posted January 1, 2007 Happy new year everyone, I hope I shall make some wonderful contributions to this forum in '07. Cheers -C.Smith Quote Men, here is where we show those split-chinned squid-headed sons of bitches that they could not have picked a worse enemy than the human race. theloniusfleabag Posted January 1, 2007 Report Posted January 1, 2007 Dear crazymf et al, Vive le Harper in government. The alternative is not good imho. Happy new year. I concur with your second statement. Though I am devoutly 'left-wing', Harper is the best of a poor lot. August1991 Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 Happy New Year to all. And I think 2007 will be a Harper Year too, quite possibly without an election. [is this the right category for these wishes?] Quote

I hope everyone has great happiness and success! -k Thank you so much for the 'trite incarnate' response that you probably read in a fortune cookie. By the way, we all love you. geoffrey Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 Drinking is truly a terrible thing. I got a concussion on the 31st (diagnosed on the 1st), pretended I didn't actually hit my head on the fall (healthly living and health care costs, I tell ya), drank excessive amounts of beautiful scotch on New Years eve and nearly had a very terminal case of the stupidity virus. Now I'm out of the drinking game for two to four weeks, apparently drinking makes your brain swell, and combined with pre-existing swelling, you can die... Whooda thunk. Expect more clear posts from me for January. Quote RealRisk.ca - (Latest Post: Prosecutors have no "Skin in the Game") --
kimmy Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 That kind of sucks, but at least you're ok. If a concussion improves the quality of geoffrey's posts, I have a list of other members who I hope get concussions soon too. -k Quote (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ Friendly forum facilitator! ┬──┬◡ノ(° -°ノ)
geoffrey Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 That kind of sucks, but at least you're ok. I thought it was just a bump on the noggin. Until I was drinking for a few hours and things started to get a little out of hand. Go to the hospital and sure enough I had a moderate concussion, like we had some damage happening up there. Oh my. I think I should get a TV spot, like those actors and stuff that get various diseases: "If you fall and bump your head, no matter what, go see your doctor! And whatever you do, don't drink!" If a concussion improves the quality of geoffrey's posts, I have a list of other members who I hope get concussions soon too. Now, now.
